I had a very memorable stay Candidasa. This is a real holiday town with a Balinese flavour. Do try the local street food and warung's you won't be disappointed. The local taxi drivers were really friendly too, we struck up a friendship with some of them and they gave great advice even when we weren't using their services. I also recommend taking a boat trip at sunrise and do go snorkeling if you are able to.

A good view of the sea and also the black pebble beach. The place is quiet with very little activities. There is a disused Tourist Information Center at the place with a map of the area.

This road stretch of the eye ... In addition to the many shops that sell souvenirs of Bali, this way also many Cafe, Resort and the places of surf ... minimarket isn't hard to come by, if you want to book a hotel it is also not difficult to find a hotel ... along the way we can look to the Southwest that there is a beautiful beach with stones neatly ... All this info may be useful

Some sand beaches left in Candidasa with hills view. It’s a nice and photogenic spot.

Beautiful beach...excellent view of ocean particularly during high tide..rocky beach so not suitable for swimming. Many local restaurants are nearby throughout the stretch of beach. One can hire local Balinese boats for a trip in the ocean and some islands.

A beautiful, peaceful place to watch the sun rise or set. Instagram worthy! Wear good shoes, the rocks can be treacherous.

With views across to Nusa Penida and up and down the east coast of Bali - a very scenic spot.

Candidasa Beach is a highway town. (Chandy-Darsa) The main road behind the accommodation which features many venues is a high speed and unfortunately quite noisy. This noise affects the accommodation venues too. A bungalow near the road is much noisier than one near the beach.... Most venues stretch from the road to the beach. The road is so fast and busy that it is difficult to navigate. Pls like my review if it is helpful to you. When beach is mentioned it means several breakwalls designed to trap sand and create some shelter, this creates some small stretches of sand at places great for sunbathing. At high tide water crashes the wall all alongside the venues. Walking the beach is not really a thing, its possible to walk the coast if the tide is ok. Unfortunately the venues have attempted to wall off and dominate the landscape to such a degree that the connection of the town has been lost, the public access laneways and ocean side pubic areas are missing and this is an oversight which has ruined the place. The connection between the main road(town) and beachside is broken by the resorts. The locals try to move around the beachside or stake out areas to offer services such as boat transfer to nearby islands for snorkeling. Because the resorts have trapped the coast the best spot is on the Western end where a market takes place and there is open space for small mobile warungs, a public area to view and access the ocean where locals and tourists gather. The OCEAN VIEW restaurant is adjacent, we dined there and it felt really nice with space adjoining the market area and a good outlook, we had identified this as the best spot to hang out generally in Candidasa, the music a bit boring for ambience yet food good, not strong on cocktails though. Overall Candidasa is good for a one night stop on the way yet wouldn't recommend unless you were staying in a villa by the ocean and no need to venture anywhere else or explore. Good for some people no doubt. We stayed at RELAX and this exemplified the Candidasa vibe, chilled, do nothing by the pool and look at the ocean. There are a few shaded huts dotted along the breakwalls good for reading a book. No activites such as Yoga, boating to dive at nearby islands(e.g. leave Candidasa) is the main activity. The highway and resorts make it a motel highway feeling place rather than a beach strip like Ahmed. The local urban area of Candidasa is slightly inland and to the west as different from Candidasa Beach.

Picturesque but tricky to access. Worth a look if you’re in the area but nothing special.
