Superb and amazing service. we stayed here for 3days with my husband. The resort have a beautiful scenery (bamboo walk) and comfortable rooms. My needs as a guest were met and fulfilled by their ever friendly staff. My stay and their service was definitely 5 stars. Also they had transport service that made it easier to explore the island and other tourist spot.. They have captured what good service is. They have that extra touch that the big hotels don’t have, (wanna say thank you to anj and other team from the restaurant) they pay a lot of attention to details and help me locate our luggage from the airport. Worth the price.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall an enjoyable stay. The main pro’s and con’s listed below: Pro’s - staying at North Zen includes access to their beautiful sister resort, South Palm, which has probably the nicest private beach on the whole island. We visited every day. - unique bamboo pier to walk along and enjoy at quiet times - large swimming pool that never gets crowded - large room - decent food from the restraint, nothing too special though. Con’s - coaches of tour groups arrive at the pier at sunset, which turns it into a bit of a theme park. Completely ruins the tranquility. Suggest having a separate sitting area at the end of the pier strictly for in-house guests. Being surrounded by a coach load of Korean tourists shouting, taking endless selfies and other external guests drinks and swearing ruins the vibe. - strongly suggest asking for a top floor room in the villa you stay in. We struggled with loud stamping and footsteps overhead every night of our stay and it stopped us from sleepover. - every item is an extra charge. 3 slices of toast at breakfast, 150 pesos extra. Coffee refill, 190 pesos extra. Be a bit more generous with small additions, it goes a long way. Not sure if we would stay again, would probably spend the extra money and go to South Palms.

The place has no beach only big swimming pool with villas.. Nice place to stay cuz its ambiance is cool and stay safe..

Serene. Sad that the mangroves are destroyed by the recent typhoon. The rooms are clean. But full of mosquitoes :( Asha and Christine are our favorite staff. We loved their welcome drinks! Appreciate the free peanut kisses too. Their mini restaurant really served a delish pizza. Their breakfast were good except for the beef tapa. Honestly everything is memorable, relaxing and great except for the insects lurking around. They dont have any beach but they can give access to their sister company which is the South Palm Resort. Wifi was also good. Thought there were frequent disconnections. My suggestions: -have a brand scent so the room doesnt look and smell dry -maybe add purifier and insect repellent per room -offer house slippers I would love to go back and enjoy the rebuilt mangrove scenery and bridge! P.S. Good to know the staff were happy as the biz owner is kind and humane. 💯💜

We stayed here for a few days this month of April 2019. The staff are very hospitable and caring. A holiday is almost perfect when you are greeted with a smiling face everyday. My partner and I are very glad to have stayed here. The food is good as well though it is still their opening season, their are yet more selections to come in the future as promised.

They might be open from January 2019? Anyway, it's quite new. Have no their own beach, but they got a fascinating bamboo bridge!You can watch sunset and sunrise here with peace. Not much activity they do provide here, but swimming, bicycling, kayak, spa, sleep and eat. For someone who looking for a nice resort, this one is totally fit. BTW, the food they provide here is outstanding! So tasty.

This was a really beautiful place starting from the entrance with an Instagrammable view. The boardwalk was a perfect spot for watching sunset and having a romantic dinner.

Love the bamboo walk for 500m. O recommend this place as one of the place to visit in bohol. They have pool and good food. The ambience is so quiet. The rate per night is expensive but it's worth it.

Rating the massage in outdoor area by the mangrove walk. Pros: Amazing location and okay massage Cons: Nearby house blasting loud techno music for half of the massage time My recommendation is to still risk it and ask for outdoor massage, pick a time without too many people (its by the walk which gets quite busy for sunset), and hope for no techno background.

Had a lovely stay.. Shout out to Gean and to all the staff at Northzen. They were extremely accommodating, every staff you meet greets you with a smile. Exceptional service I would say. Don’t miss the Mangrove Bridge.. If you’re someone who values serenity, I would recommend this place.

I love this place, it is a great spot to witness sunset! Not too crowded. I just purchased a day pass to experience the 500-meter bamboo walk. Food in their resto is also good, though pricey. My husband also took some shots using his drone.

The most relaxing massage I ever had. Their bamboo nest massage experience was by far the most close to nature one can experience. Unique and effective gig. Tranquil and all you can hear is the sound of nature. Wow! Jenelyn my therapist was so polite and had skills that for the price you paid, its was all worth it. Definitely recommend.

Went there for sunset boardwalk experience. It was a pure beauty. A bit pricey for entrance atleast its consumable for 100pesos. Had a good time watching the sunset and the mangroves. Was a bit annoyed later on when some koreans just took photos infront of you not caring that people were sitting and trying to watch the sunset.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was lovely! Very comfortable rooms in a quiet location. Breakfast was very tasty and staff very nice. The location is further out but just get a scooter and you are set. They have a 50% happy hour on alcoholic drinks from 7-7. Best pina colada I have every had. The bamboo wall is really nice especially at sunset. Just be aware there will be big tourist groups to take pictures when it’s a really nice sunset so it can get a bit chaotic and can kill the vibe. You also get access to their sister resort, South Palms where it has the nicest beach in Panglo maybe Bohol. Crystal clear waters and an area to snorkel. Would recommend it to anyone staying in Panglo or Bohol!

We had a wonderful experience! …will definitely be coming back. The only missing thing is to be able to swim at the beach. But the mangroves in the bamboo walk is priceless! Especially during sunset.

PRO: Easy check-in, located on a main road, given a local/tasty drink upon check-in, transportation available for a fee, resto on-location (pricey), pool was great, pool area has lots of seats/tables/lounging, very serene environment/ambiance surrounded by nature, staff are polite, resort is well-maintained, free access to mangrove walk, which was serene and a must-go on its own, suites has a well-stocked kitchen utensils and toiletries. The room has safe. CON: Shower has a flawed design - water splashes out and tends to pool around the bathtub/shower area, curtains on windows are somewhat see thru - i went outside to check and i can see inside with curtains down. RECOMMENDATION: I still recommend to people who seeks out peace/quiet/calm environment/ambiance.

I will definitely recommend you to come here if you stay in Bohol. Mangrove bridge is perfect to watch sunset and take photos. Great swimming pool with warm water, very close to your room(21 rooms only so actually it’s very quiet place to relax) Staffs are nice. Can also have a day trip to the south palm hotel and enjoy the facility for free. Must go! South palm seems have a farm as well and we did not alert it and not tried. But the beach is perfect there and can do free sup / kayak. Better do in the morning as sea becomes wavy in the afternoon. Some people also do snorkelling there. Massage is perfect, must try as my wife fell sleep when I am writing this comment and she’s doing massage. Recommendations: - The bamboo hanger outside the room should clean it. Perfect stay in North Zen.

Very clean and quite, nice crew. It's has a great beach at it's sister hotel south palm beach which you can go for free if you are staying in Zen hotel Just a little far from the main things in town but its easy to get everywhere

North Zen Villas is a unique 5 star experience. Instead of a beach front there is a mangrove forest. The bamboo walkway has a self guided tour of the natural mangroves. The resort is well maintained and the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this luxury hotel for your next visit to Panglao.

This was the best hotel we booked in the Philippines!! Amazing service, super comfortable room and the decor was beautiful. The pool area is awesome and everything is the perfect combo of modern and natural. The only negative thing was that the restaurant and the bamboo walk were closed when we were there so we couldn’t access this area.

Zen Suite room was good. Clean. Stocked. Lots of little niceties. Room 7 (what we had) is on the south side and farthest away from the road and neighboring roosters, so it was very quiet and easy to sleep and nap. Strong AC units get the room as cold as you want. Lots of windows and natural light. Pool is really the only thing to do other than the bamboo bridge (was under construction so we couldn't see the whole thing). You can get access to the South Palms resort property by being a customer here, so if you want a nice quiet, private room but also access to the beach and other stuff (look up the resort for full details) this place will do nicely. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is lack of other things to do (on the grounds) besides the pool. Strong 4 stars, though.

Avery Relaxing place. If you are planning to relax with serenity, you must visit 3pm to 4pm. Place is so relaxing. ! Fresh air from the Ocean, ! Horizon view, ! Beautiful Sunset, You can sleep out there also! You can bring your Laptop electricity is available. You can also book for a massage and you will be surrounded by mangroves. 5pm will be crowded sometime. There will me more people to come for the sunset view.

One of the best services we've had. Though the weather was not with us, but it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. Food is superb 💓💓, their complimentary tastes just right together with their dip. Sandwich is delicious paired with fresh salad, the soup was also delicious, serving is really just good for 1.
