This Space is so beautiful and Peaceful, Near to Nature. Prefer to visit here after 4 pm and while walking in Mountains mind your steps. In sunlight, you will not able to find any shadow place here and there are no shops or anything nearby. While you came choose to take water with you. As this Natural Space is a bit far from Mainland so the only access to come here is by your own car. Take care. Happy Traveling here.

Nice place to come, feel the fresh air, see the view and take photos. We arrive early like 730am from Perlis. The road is red mud road. Ride or Drive carefully after raining. Next time, I would like to bring camping chair here and cook a cup of coffee and have my breakfast in this beautiful place.

Actually can drive all the way in even sedan car. The scenery is just OK, don't expecting too much. Go early morning especially cloudy day so you can chill at the top under small plants.

Small hill with low altitude that remains after construction work. No trees around there so it's very hot in sunny day. It's usually not busy place and landscape is very beautiful because of water colour. Especially beautiful in clear sunny day with blue sky. Hiking trail is easy, short and safe, clear visible. I was there on Sunday afternoon and except me there was only one family. A lot of free parking everywhere. Last 1.5 km before hill the road is very narrow and no concrete.

Bukit Katak （大马九寨沟), Penang, Malaysia. Worth a visit to look at how nature can be so amazing. We took about 30 minutes to enter from the main road. On the way back we spotted few buffalos along the road and the scene so nice and peaceful.

Recommend to go during early morning when sun start to rise or during sunset, as it's quite hot and very less shady area. More like mini stone hill with super nice scenery. Not recommend to climb after rain as the stone could be very slippery. Quite remote area, and the road lead to the frog hill mostly dirt road.

What a view when seeing it from the top of the hill, route to there might be block when using google map, need find other way to go around it. Definitely recommend a visit if not much raining else might have muddy on route

Where Is Frog Hill Located? frog hill penang Located on the mainland side of Penang, in Tasek Gelugor, Frog Hill encompasses Kampung Guar Petai and Kampung Guar Perahu. At the top of the hill the view there is notably breathtaking with scenic landscapes.

It's really worth the trip even though you have to drive through a 1km muddy road. Avoid raining days. Ideally go early morning to avoid strong sun or evening but not too late for there is no street lamp.

Bukit Katok or Frog Hill is best to visit in early of the morning or late afternoon. If one goes in the mid of the day, it will be very hot. Our family went there around 5-6pm on weekend by bezza. The route entering the Frog Hill is muddy and my car did slip into mud and I had a bit hard time to go through (but I made it in the end.). It is a place where family with kids should go and chill there a while. You will really love the place if you are a nature lover.

Went there morning, after ytd night rain. Super beautiful. Be careful with the slope, slightly slippery. Great view. Went there with mountain bike. Some people drive car also can reach.

It’s a dirt road all the way in. Be careful when you drive on the dirt track. We went on a day after heavy rain. Track was muddy. Once you are there, you can just park anywhere and start trekking the hill. It’s a very short trek up to capture the 360 degree view. View up there is nice. There are some tapes tied to the branches to indicate the path.

I love this place, feel amazing with the natural and awesome scenery.

Need to do some climbing. When you reach the top, a rewarding scenery is in front of you. An amazing Godsent piece of art. Green, blue, turquoise and earth. So harmonic.

What make this journey meaningful is that I found a 🚲 cyling trail alone to this gem accidentally. ( I can't found any cyling trail on web.) No traffic, just about 18 mins+ bike from a taman entrance to the river path if non stop. ( You can see the paddy and river view along the journey, which is a plus if you're a nature lover. ) Definitely will be my weekly trip.

Not recommended for lowered car Also not recommended to enter after rain The road at the entrance is muddy with tanah merah (red soil) so its bad idea to go at raining season People tend to stop here not for long because even u come at 9am the hot is like 1pm The view is superb! So prepare as what is needed..

The scenic spot does not match the photos on the Internet, and no one has taken care of it for a long time. Not only does it look bad, it also smells bad. And the road to get there is so bad and small that you can only go by one car. Because there is a river on the left side of the road to Jiuzhaigou, drive very carefully. In addition, the trees on the right side of the road are very lush, and the branches scratched my car, which made me cry. Highly not recommended to go! ! !

LOVE LOVE LOVE the view so much.. the route to this place quite rocky and muddy during rain season but all in all worth 100%.. if want sunset pic come at 5pm onwards 😉 pro tips: do some research on instagram for photo idea, outfit and places with great scenery first

Special scenery , suggest go on weekend which will have more crowd as this place is around 1KM from main road. Do consider safety and suggest visit as a group.

You'll go through a short off road trail to reach the frog hills. Do expect your car or bike becomes muddy if you go there after a rain. But the spectacular view does worth a car or bike wash.

Fresh cooling air, no traffic everything is nature beauty. Good for hiking with family or friends. Open to public and free for all. lots of Flora and Fauna for nature lover.

Nice view for family photos, wedding, or any recreational reasons. But the road to this place is not paved. Jalan tanah merah. Be careful and be prepared.

I wouldn't recommend you go with your sedan cars. The access will really imperil even the best driver unless you are driving a SUV or pick-up. Potholes and depressed areas are ubiquitous from trail head to destination. I saw a cormorant, big black fish eating bird, which was a big draw for tourists in China's Guilin. The site is of laterite rock which is rich in iron but unfortunately is below commercial grade.

This is a must visit place in Penang. It’s towards the mainland and it’s beautiful and peaceful. Is your are someone who love to trekking you must visit frog hill. It’s nature at its best, but one drawback is the road to this place. Plz don’t walk down till the hill take a care as there are monitor lizards. You can park the car down and climb up hill.

Very nice spot for photo taking with the nice scenery consisting of the hill, lakes and the wide blue sky. There are people swimming and playing by the lakes. The turning from the main road before entering the area might feel not like it but go on further and you will discover the spot. The road surface are of rocks and sand, be careful while driving in. It is best to get in with a pick up or truck but normal sedans or suvs can do. Haven't try with a coupe but it is strongly not advisable to do so unless you want a more 'adventurous' journey. Note: Wear shoes and pants as some areas are quite steep for climbing. For the ladies, get yourself a hat or umbrella unless you want to get more vitamin D from the glaring sun.
