Singapore Style Chilli Prawns ($22) This sauce is reminiscent of Chilli Crab Sauce, and is slightly sweet with a bit of spice kick! The sauce was also pretty viscous, and I enjoyed pairing it w the fried Mantous (50ยข each)! Hainanese Chicken Satay ($10) Five skewers of Chicken Satay served in a thick concoction of pineapple and peanut dipping sauce - altho we ate it cold, but it was really v flavourful and the meat wasn't dry or tough at all! Can't really taste pineapple in the sauce, but the peanut was certainly good, and pairs well w the satay. Ugly Cabbage in Fish Sauce ($13) It does look unassuming, but the wok-hei is definitely there! Fish sauce is also slightly sweet, but I really enjoyed this veg, and would probably be one of their must-orders if you are there! Grandma's Te Kah Beehoon ($14 - S) Braised pig trotter wok-fried with rice vermicelli. This is another must-try here, the wokhei is really strong and the noodles are so flavourful! It's also slightly sweet here from the sauce, but I still really enioyed the dish! Salt-baked Whole Barramundi A whole fish that is pretty fresh, and goes well with their 3 sauces that's provided - Thai Green Chilli, Squid Ink Cincalok and Salsa (my favourite sauce of the 3)! Popiah Garden ($14) No regrets trying their Popiah Garden! This came with 3 scoops of gelato - Blue Pea Pandan Lemongrass, Seasalt Horlicks, and Soursop. Seasalt Horlicks was definitely my favourite, with it being super malty and that touch of seasalt made it soo good and addictive. Would totally buy a pint home ahhaa. The soursop was also really refreshing, and great for those who love Soursop! Was also surprised to enjoy the Blue Pea one too - had a good pandan fragrance, and was really great as an end to our meal!

Overprice local food. Delicious, yes. But not worth paying so much for. Would definitely deserve more stars if dishes are re-invented or of fusion. Just personal opinion. Fried sotong stood out the most. The rest are pretty much expected. Can try once but wonโ€™t revisit. Probably more suitable to bring foreigners/tourist to try our local food in comfort. :)

Enjoy Eating House was started in 2018 as a small eating house in Jalan Besar founded by two childhood friends, James and Joel. Enjoy Eating House and Bar Besides the hard copy of the menu, you can order the food via their app, by scanning the QR Code provided. Menu A retro interior decor is colourful with 1990s vibes. Look around in the Eating House and feel nostalgic with some of the familiar items. Dining Environment Their first dish impressed me. The pillowy soft Pau was served with a small plate of pulled pork with a house-smoked thick-cut kurobuta pork belly. It was served with honey mustard, homemade slaw and their house garlic chilli. King Kong Bak Pau - $24 To be honest, I'm a fan of such a traditional dish and not many places sell this. There are 2 sizes available on their menu. The "Te Kah" which is known as Pig Trotter is exceptionally nice and on top of that, the Bee Hoon is very flavourful and soaked up with braised flavours. This secret recipe is passed down from Chef Joel's beloved Grandma. Grandma's Te Kah Bee Hoon - $17 (Small) The name of the dish spurs interest to curious diners like me. Its wok hei-infused and strong flavours make such a simple dish so delicious. Loves the use of garlic with fish sauce and sugar with the cabbages. Ugly Cabbage in Fish Sauce - $16 A plate of Har Jeong Kai Wings is good for sharing but a bit too much for 2 pax after all the dishes we ordered. This all-time Zi Char Classic was packed full of fragrance in its crispy fried exteriors. The fresh mid joints were very well marinated with fermented shrimp paste. Har Jeong Kai Wings - $16 The meal ends with this special dessert on the menu. It is an Italian twist on a classic Singaporean dessert. The Pandan Noodles decked up with fragrant gula Melaka with sweet coconut cream pudding. Chendol Panna Cotta - $8 Enjoy Eating House and Bar is worth visit with friends or family. Most of the dishes we had were very well executed with some twist in our local dishes. Pricing maybe a little steep but for the quality, worth splurging a little and pampering ourselves at times.

Definitely an enjoyable experience dining here, from the decor to the food. The duck noodles are the bomb and hit all the right notes. I like the satay too although is more like deep fried satay than grilled over charcoal, satay sauce went really well with it. Also ordered the ugly cabbage, but nothing ugly about it - tasted soooo good. BBQ pork ribs is off the bone soft, tangy and juicy. The only thing I wonโ€™t recommend you order is the white soup. It was too salty, like a miso soup gone wrong. We complained as we ordered 4 individual bowls that none of us can finish but they gave us a small discount to compensate.

Been wanting to try @enjoyeatinghouse and finally making my way to their outlet at Stevens Road. Stepping in is like travelling back to the 80s 90s old Singapore eating house and it feels incredibly cosy with the staff so friendly introducing me their signature dishes with their thick calendar-inspired menu. What I tried, Grandmaโ€™s โ€œTe Kahโ€ Bee Hoon. Slurpy worthy vermicelli that is so well infused with flavour and strong wok hei. The braised pork trotters so soft, it simply fall apart in my mouth and the tender jiggly fat layer just melt in my mouth. A marvellous bowl! Singapore Style Chilli Prawns (add on mini mantous). I like how these fresh huge juicy prawns are partially deshelled to make consuming it even easier. And the prawns here are really plump, meaty and succulent sweet. The sauce has the perfect harmony of eggy, sweet, tangy and spicy that goes very well with the fried mantou. The mantou are fried till perfection, achieving the golden standard of crispy outer and fluffy inner that make me can't stop mopping up all that glorious sauce with it. Ugly Cabbage in Fish Sauce. Looking deceptively unassuming but each bite was crunchy crisp, slightly sweet and full of fragrance from the garlic and fish sauce with a strong wok hei. Simple yet a comforting dish that is done so so well. Hainanese Chicken Satay. Sweet savoury, well marinated and grilled. Love how chunky and tender juicy the chicken is and flavourful on its own. Sprinkled with chopped peanuts and served with a side of sweet, spicy, sour, crunchy achar. And not forgetting the satay sauce that comes with grated pineapple for a dip to give extra dimension. I left feeling very satisfied. @enjoyeatinghouse has certainly live up its name in terms of the quality of food and the very affordable price points. Service also commendable. I would definitely be back again to try out the other dishes on the menu Follow me on Ig: @zoey_belle_ Tiktok: zozobelle_

Packed with rich flavours & well executed Singaporean dishes. Worth the visit, especially with family or friends. Most of the dishes we tried were perfect, esp the barramundi in curry. Chilli crab prawn, bee Hoon & cabbage were delicious too. Sadly we didnโ€™t enjoy the xo fish soup, feels too XO heavy. Satay was good but can do without to try other dishes. Much better experience than my first time at the Jalan Besar outlet previously. Also impeccable service throughout. $45 per pax

Multi sensory experience in this restaurant where the vibe feels like the good old times. Chef's take on local delicacies are extremely intricate and while some of them look peculiar, the distinct taste of each ingredient felt like they were dancing in harmony on my tongue. Total enjoyment!

First time here. We had the Sui Bian Set for 2 as we wanna try many dishes. The Chicken Satay was pretty good. Fish Maw Salad and Prawn Patties were decent. Chef Joelโ€™s bbq Pork Cheek and Fish Soup pretty good. The Chilli Prawns was like a mild version of our popular chilli crab sauce, served with fried man tou. I wished the sauce was more flavorful. The Te Kah Bee Hoon had a lot of wok hei damn shiok. Finally the Orh Ni dessert shiok. Love the ambience and service. Nice place for a family meal or date with friends.

The seating timing was largely split into 530pm and 730pm. Staff was friendly though order was made via link. Foie gras with truffled sous vide eggs were great. Foie gras was cooked to perfection. Truffle aroma was evident and mixed with eggs added another dimension. Crispy fish maw salad was unique, flavor reminiscent of Thai or Vietnam salad and nothing resemblances that of SG food. Grandma te kah bee hoon was good but nothing outstanding. Black angus beef tenderloin with foie gras was excellent. The doneness of two distinct main ingredients were perfect. Chef Joel bbq pork cheek was full of flavor and the meat was tender. Ugly cabbage in fish sauce tasted average but could tell there was wok hei. Salt baked whole barramundi was good, fresh and natural flavor came through very well. Both orh ni and ice cream desserts were above average.

A nice place for group gathering. The food is good with my personal favourites being the barramundi, chilli prawns and ugly cabbage! ๐‘ญ๐’†๐’‚๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’†๐’…: ๐Ÿฆ ๐’๐ˆ๐๐†๐€๐๐Ž๐‘๐„ ๐’๐“๐˜๐‹๐„ ๐‚๐‡๐ˆ๐‹๐‹๐ˆ ๐๐‘๐€๐–๐๐’ โ€” Iโ€™d recommend getting this with their mantou (50ยข per mantou, minimum order of four). Upscale Old school atmosphere. Do not attempt to walk in on a weekend without reservations unless u are dinning after 8. Personally donโ€™t find menu exciting, not a lot of choices but wonโ€™t disappoint from its selection. Ordered the chilli prawn and tasted pretty good. More sweet than spicy and it gives good rich flavour. Ah Mah beehoon was good but not crazily good, I was expecting bombastic flavour due to the high review. Any mom at home can beat their standard. Service is good.

This place has got it right with zichar in a restaurant setting. We were initially doubtful about the authenticity of the zichar dishes, but some of them were very unique and completely blew past our expectations. The most unique dish was the Hakka claypot red rice wine chicken. The red rice wine was so addictive that it was the first dish to be wiped clean. We also ordered the pork ribs, chilli prawns and crispy fish with red curry. These few dishes were quite average, but generally too sweet for us. One of the most surprising dishes was the fried mantou. It was super crispy and flavourful for some reason. I'd daresay it beats the rest of the dishes we ordered. Unfortunately, service was almost nonexistent. We wanted to check with them how the dishes would've tasted as the names were rather unique, but the staff was scarcely around. Overall, a great modern zichar restaurant with unique food.

The food was really good! We ordered the soft tofu, the angus beef, the bee hoon and the pau. Everything tastes local and very authentic. Really worth the price. The place also is very trendy retro vibes that every corner is picturesque! We loved the experience and the food, for real! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿป

first time here to eat the lunch, asked what is their signature dish, the waiter recommended the signature bee hoon. felt the dish is not quite worth the value for $20+ , would be expecting a greater taste for such a high price. ambience was fine, quiet location to host your customer or bring friends.

Food was superb especially the tee kah bee hoon - a simple yet so comforting dish - which reminds me of my late grandma. My husband loves the fish curry and pork cheeks. Remember to order a bowl of rice to slurp up the sauce! My 5 yr old daughter loves the satay. She finished almost all 5 sticks on her own! Not many photos cos they are gone before i could snap! We also absolutely love their hokkien mee which is only available at the Jln Besar branch. A must try, guys! Upon knowing it's my birthday, they offered me a bowl of complimentary chendol panna cotta! Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

My first time here and this place is giving me crazy rich asian vibes! I love the 80s retro and vintage vibe. Price is a lil on a higher side but their flavours are definitely bursting! Black Dog Quail Eggs - Interesting name but it tastes a bit like the black vinegar pork soup but all in an egg! Filial Pie Tee - This was interesting as itโ€™s diff from the usual ones I tried but it came with fresh prawns which made it worth it! Smoked Cod Otah - This was one of my favourite! The portion was nice and it was so fat and juicy! Def a unique way to eat em again compared to other otak otak. I liked this twist and itโ€™s with Cod fish! Talk about premiummmm haha King Kong Bak Pau - Pulled pork and pork belly for you to eat with the steamed buns. Overall decent but the portion could be bigger:) Rose Spring Sakura Chicken - For some reason the chicken looks dry but it was absolutely the opposite! It was really tender and tasty! Hainanese Lamb Stew w/ Winter Pear - This was me and my friendโ€™s favourite! A must try in my opinion as the lamb was really tender and the flavours tasted like home and itโ€™s the perfect comfort food dish Would def come back here again! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

Colourfully retro interior decor with tidy and clean seating. Reservations recommended. Scan the qr for more menu items, as the picture menu has only a few dishes. Food is mostly zichar dishes with a twist in certain dishes. Fish soup was a tad too salty for my liking, but the tekar bee hoon brought back childhood memories. The 3 scoops of ice cream in the popiah skin were unique tasty. However, I would've preferred a thinner skin. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Portions are not that large, yet prices are a tad higher.

This place serves zi char with a premium and unique twist that will bring a smile even to the fussiest of parents. Their outlet at Stevens Road features a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, adding bonus points to the meal. I tried the following dishes: ๐Ÿ— Har Jeong Kai Wings ($16) ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿฆ€ Crab Meat Omelette ($18) ๐ŸŸ Fried Barramundi in Chef Joelโ€™s Red Curry Sauce ($28) ๐Ÿฅฌ Ugly Cabbage in Fish Sauce ($16) ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿท Grandmaโ€™s Te Kah Bee Hoon ($17)๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ  Teochew Orh Ni ($5) My top picks are: 1๏ธโƒฃ Ha Jeong Kai wings which were crunchy, well flavoured and juicy. Could tell that they used fresh chicken for this dish! 2๏ธโƒฃ Ugly Cabbage had a full on intense wok hei flavour that honestly blew my mind when I took the first bite. The fish sauce was both salty and sweet, making it a super addictive dish to have. 3๏ธโƒฃ Grandmaโ€™s Te Kah Beehoon is THE dish to impress your parents with. It brings back memories of comfort and warmth with its savoury and deep braised flavour. This isnโ€™t my first time at Enjoy Eating House and Bar, and they have always been impressive since day one. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Full video review on my Instagram @littlemissramensg!

Lovely modern zichar restaurant with a specially designed interior to remind us of the oldern days in SG, homely vibes! I've tried the SG Style Chilli Prawn and its not really the kind of chilli prawn im expecting, but i guess the plus point is that it came "shellless" so we don't have to peel off the shells!! The Chicken satay and sayur lodeh was really good! The Steamed Fish in Superior Soy Sauce was pretty tender and the Hakka Red Rice Wine Chicken was well-absorbed with the aroma of the red rice wine! It was served piping hot in a claypot with the chicken soaked in the sauce with red rice wine! The wine taste was pretty prominent! The Filial Pie Tee was a Peranakan appetiser and the Popiah Garden is similar to the taiwan famous popiah peanut ice cream roll! The Mao Shan Wang Ice Cream has a really strong durian flavour, loving it! Definitely a place to visit for gathering and some local delights!

Situated near Novotel on Stevens Road, just a short distance from the lively Orchard area, Enjoy Eating House brings a touch of modernity to premium zi char, offering a contemporary twist on local Singaporean cuisine. Must-try dishes include the Trio Egg Spinachโ€”fluffy beaten egg and spinach braised in a savoury stock with century eggs, and Chef Joelโ€™s Pork Cheekโ€”slices featuring a well-balanced fat-to-meat ratio and a charred exterior, providing a mix of charred and slightly sweet flavours. Given its popularity among regulars, we recommend making reservations in advance!

looking for a place that serves premium zichar with a unique twist? enjoy eating house is the place to be!!! mums are usually hard to impress but mine had such a good time here, she kept asking how is it that she has never heard of this place ๐Ÿ˜‚ crispy fish with chef joelโ€™s red curry sauce ($49): - super meaty & tender barramundi paired with red nyona-inspired curry thatโ€™s thicker than what you usually find - they were so thoughtful to portion the fish so nicely for us diners! - my mum was singing praises for this dish for how value for money and delicious it was! ugly cabbage in fish sauce ($16): - to be honest, this isnโ€™t something we would have ordered on our own given its price point - but everybody recommended it so we had to get it! - the good smoky aroma went hand in hand with the sweet and crunch cabbage, it would definitely blow the minds of your guests! tinpot prawn tanghoon ($21): - this sauce soaked, aromatic glass noodle tasted so good while it was still hot, we definitely inhaled this! - unfortunately the prawns were overcooked and tasteless, we were quite confused with how it didnโ€™t absorb any hint of flavour from the broth supreme seafood fried rice ($19): - itโ€™s a good bowl of fried rice, but nothing to shout about! crab meat omelette ($18): - the omelette was fluffy and had a good amount of crab eggs my only gripe is that many of the items were out of stock during our visit on saturday 2pm, but it also goes to show how popular they are!

This place serves the most legit rendition of local food. They do two things really well - their stock, and how they infuse them onto the food. You can see they don't scrimp on their ingredients, with how every sauce and soup being so concentrated. Here's our favourites: Served sizzling hot, ๐‡๐š๐ค๐ค๐š ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐‘๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐–๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ง had such a robust savoury soup base, with smokiness and hint of brandy coming through. The chicken had also been thoroughly infused with the base. Enjoyed all the best hits of Singaporean cuisine at this cosy, intimate spot. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food & favorite dishes among the group all varied, which speaks to their consistency across dishes. Favorites for me were the Satay, Ugly Cabbage, and the Fried Mantous. The peanut pineapple satay sauce was legit, ugly cabbage (while on the sweet side) was complemented well by the fish sauce, and fried mantous were superbly crispy. The chilli prawn sauce was also a perfect complement for the mantous. The only miss was their ngoh hiang โ€” the beancurd skin wasnโ€™t fried thoroughly enough and the contents tended to spill out. Will be back!

Local dishes all done very well, menu had a good variety of dishes so will definitely be back to try the others. Service was really good โ€” we initially ordered the coconut ice cream for dessert but the staff told us that the kitchen was not satisfied with the texture of the ice cream and suggested alternatives. Appreciate the attention to quality and for letting us know. Casual atmosphere makes it a good place to come with friends and share a few dishes. The tables were well separated so itโ€™s good for conversation. Dishes we ordered: - pork trotter bee hoon - ugly cabbage - barramundi fillet with coconut red curry - lamb stew - ngoh hiang - dessert: orh nee, chendol panna cotta, mao shan wang ice cream Highlights were the bee hoon, cabbage and ngoh hiang. For dessert, the chendol panna cotta was really fragrant and rich. We were impressed with the other dishes as well and would order them again.

Oct 2023: tried this for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised with the dishes - more tasty then expected and portions were huge! Individual portions were big enough for 2 pax! Fave dish was the grandmaโ€™s te kah noodles and the crispy hor fun. Dec 2023: second visit with family and could try more dishes this time round. The ugly veg is super good!!!!! Also like the crab omelette.

Really love the atmosphere here! it is very retro and they serve very interesting food choices, such as Hakka Red Rice Wine Chicken ้…’้ฆ™็บข็ณŸ้ธก and Grandmaโ€™s Te Kah Bee Hoon ็Œช่„š็ฑณ็ฒ‰, which is quite hard to find around! The te kah bee hoon is a must order dish!! very very flavourful and the meat is so tender. Their orh nee ่Š‹ๆณฅ็™ฝๆžœ also packs a punch, very smooth and strong yam taste. Honestly a good place to bring your family along because my parents really love the food.

Heard a lot of good reviews about this place and first timing trying it. Went over and try and the food was fantastic. Ordered 5 dishes and the taste was definitely spot on! will go back again. - Hainanese Chicken Satay - Hainanese Lamb Stew (Lamb is so soft and sauce was thick and flavour) - Peranakan Bakwan Kepiting Soup (The meatball was super tender, my kids sure will love it) - Crispy with Chef Joel's Red Curry Sauce Fillet (Fillet size was big and the coconut w red curry was smooth) - Ugly Cabbage (MUST Order Superb and well balance the fish sauce ) - Chendol Panna Cotta - TeoChew Or Nee

Came visiting as we saw the raving review on the food. Food left us with very mixed feelings. Century egg tofu was amazing, pork cheeks are great. Seafood fried rice though cooked well was neither savoury nor fragrant. The Carrot garnish felt really cheap, almost like the frozen 3 in 1 carrot/corn/green pea mix. Prawn was not fresh. XO white fish soup was sweet and did not have a rich taste. Will be back to try other dishes.

Not too bad, will be back for the char siew and chicken satay. Pork trotter bee hoon was too moist and lack a little wok hey Food was okay but a bit cold when served Chendol was really nice but yam paste abit too watery and sweet A little expensive

Ordered the chicken rice. I think it is not nice at all. Fragrant rice is heavily salted perhaps a last minute microwaved job as rice bowl is hot. There is no chicken soup which is so essential for singaporeโ€™s top dish. For the price, any good courts will taste better and 4-5 times cheaper!

Pricey -1* Portion is v small -1* quiet weekday evening so it seems overstaffed - we r being "watched". Cust svc is minimal. Staff tend to give off a "not approachable" vibe. They r not rude but we don't feel d warmth. Ordered d pig trotter bee hoon, pork cheek, kueh pie tee, prawn paste wings, thai iced milk tea, pandan lemongrass n beer. Bee hoon is a miserable plate @$12/16. Pork cheeks >60% fats. Kueh pie tee comes with more veg filling than pie cups (perhaps give 2 more cups?) prawn paste wings r v juicy ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Drinks r good, not too sweet ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Bill for 3 pax comes up to $111, yet we aren't full hmm... Parking is limited at d hotel premise.

Was craving for the chill prawn and noodles from enjoy eating from Jalan besar but then I tot why not give the outlet at stevens road a try. And it was a good choice. Firstly the taste was just as I expected when I was in jalan Besar! Which was amazing ! Had my chill prawn sauce with the man tou. Savory with just the right contrast of spice n sweetness. The man you came warm n crispy so we had that quickly when it came. The noodles was just so tasty n moist. Again tasty but not too overbearing in taste. The Ugly cabbage was good balance up with the noodle and the flavorful chill prawn. The satay was again flavorful but just alittle cold and abit hard on the outside. Not moist as what you would expect from the freshly grilled satay from the satay club or shenton way type. But still good with the peanut sauce. The inside of the meat is still tender though. Lastly ( although it was served first ) and not least is the Xo fish soup. Not too hot but want with a strong enough wine taste and fresh aroma to tantalize your smell sense. Good start to kick off the meal. Not forgetting the service staff They were attention and polite! So nice to dine in place where staff are nice. Keep it up. It makes all the difference to the wonderful dining and itโ€™s what separates a 4 โญ๏ธ from a 5 โญ๏ธ ! Quaint environment with a lot to look around at. Definitely a place to check out if itโ€™s not out of your way. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Place wasnt very full but the staff was unattentive almost seemed like they were ignoring when we were waving to get their attention multiple times. Mee kia was not cooked properly had 2 big clumps of uncooked noodles(see photos). Tang hoon prawn was the only good thing we had. Edit: we did inform your staff about the noodles on the spot. The guy who was manning the counter simply replied: โ€œok notedโ€

Our first time here and we like the selection of food on their menu. They offer interesting and unique dishes. Prices may be on a high side but they are worth paying for. For 2 persons, 2 main dishes are good enough as the portion is of reasonable size. Besides the two main dishes, we ordered one warm beverage, one bowl of jasmine rice and fried mini mantou (4 pcs). It would be better to make a reservation before you drop by. This place does get crowded if itโ€™s a weekend. Dining here is comfortable as thereโ€™s air-conditioning and yet, get to enjoy zi char dishes!

A long overdue review. This place gives a different twist to local dishes. The ter kar beehoon was good. The other dishes didn't work out well.

Comfort food up many notches! Ugly veg is surprisingly a crowd favourite. Don't judge veggie by its look! Haha Ter Ka Bee Hoon is definitely a clear winner. Hainanese pork chop was a bit tough to chew though.

Nicely decorated place with oldie atmosphere. Overall food is average or above average. The most likely recommended is the Hokkien mee which comes with big fresh prawns and wok hei. The Chili is also very uniquely good! Other dishes ordered are unique and homely in their own way in terms of taste. Chili crab sauce however is a little disappointing as itโ€™s too bland. Service has room for improvement.

Yummy food and great service - star of the night was the chili prawns (prawns in chili crab sauce) + the mantou. Super yummy w a slight spicy kick. The prawns were big! The satay was well marinated and was a good start to our meal. The cabbage looked unassuming but was actually pretty bomb! The pork w the beehoon was super tender and I couldnโ€™t stop reaching for more. We also had the salt baked barramundi?!?! Which had no business being so good. It was well cooked and super huge (they also told us it was farmed locally). The desserts were amazing too - totally recommend the popiahgarden which was three scoops of ice cream (w locally inspired flavours) in popiah skin & sprinkled w peanuts. 10/10 reco.

I did a walk-in early Friday evening. But would advise making a reservation as the place did get filled up over the night. The ambiance is very casual and decorated in an old style and nostalgic theme. Food is generally good and well portioned. Would recommend the noodle dishes. The prawns could be improved as they were a little mushy then. Service was friendly and prompt. Pricing wise is not too expensive considering the overall experience. Hip enough for the young kids and nostalgic enough for the old folks. Parking after office hours should be cheap and plenty.
