Amazing snorkeling spot. Clear water, lots of colorful coral and fishes. If you go by motor bike like us, ride past the Google location for about 50 meters, you will see a little sign says Gamat beach pointing to the right. Follow the sign and turn right, ride for another 50 meters you will see a narrow dirt road. Park your motor bike to the side and walk down for 10mins you will arrive at the beach. It's free no parking fee. Also, better go when the tight is low, otherwise it's a little tricky to get onto the beach. To snorkel, you will have to swim away from the beach, but never go past all the snorkeling boats. The corals are better on the left side of the beach. Current can be a little strong, not recommended for weak swimmers. If you go with a snorkeling tour, all skill levels will be fine. Enjoy your time here. Most people go by boats. We arrived at the beach around 9:30am and didn't see anyone who took the same route. Although there were lots of people in the water already from the snorkeling tours.

Super nice to chill and hang out half a day. The warung serves decent beach food and cold beers for reasonable prices. We recommend to check the tide schedule so you can enjoy the decent snorkeling experience there. You see lots of coloful fish and turtles.

Very nice and pleasant place. In private! Amazing place to snorkel with lots of fish, corals and turtles! There is a small restaurant with tasty food, reasonable price, has snorkeling equipment for rent (35k), super friendly owner and staff! Don't forget to order fish there, fried bananas with cheese and honey on top, unforgettable taste!

Very hard to find, tricky to get down to but my god is it worth it. This beach is gorgeous and very empty. We found ourselfs balancing on cliffs and half lost in the jungle as we climbed down to it but had a nice day when we got down there. A very peaceful and enjoyable day out.

Absolutely lovely hidden beach on Nusa Penida. It is frequently visited by boats with snorkeling tourists in the morning and before noon but afternoon it turns into totally secluded beach with no one around (maybe except some locals that have been working on construction site nearby, therefore chances are it won't be a hidden beach in a few years). We had the whole beach to ourselves. Water is and coral reef is accessible by foot and if the waves aren't too strong it is even okay for you to swim in. There are some currents but if you keep closer to the beach, they are not a big problem, however, better to wear fins and snorkeling equipment if you're there for the fish. Access to the beach is better than on most other beaches in Nusa Penida - park the scooter at point where the road gets dirtier and continue on foot. Descend is not steep.

One of my favorite beaches in Nusa. Very underrated, but is good as keeps the crowds away. Has a warung with good prices on the beachfront with good toilet and a shower!!! Have something to eat/drink and your free to use bean bags/loungers. The snorkeling is off the beach and amazing, this is where many of the boat tours stop to snorkel. Good access by bike, park on top of hill and about 150m walk down hill. No fees to pay

I really don't want to rate this place as I dont want it to get flooded with tourists but here I go... I think I had my best snorkeling experience here ever. You can get to the beach with the scooter. Just keep driving a bit after maps says you have arrived. Leave your scooter parked up there and walk down to the beach. The beach itself ist lovely and a very nice man will welcome you and also sell some refreshments. To get in the water I would recommend some shoes as the corals start quite early. The underwater world is absolutely breathtaking. I saw so many fish and underwater "canyons" absolutely amazing. I also got to see multiple sea turtle at once. Loved it!

Super nice people running the cafe there. Didn’t think the sea water was clear to spot fish however heard morning is better. Had friends that went and they enjoyed it. Medium current when I went. Can rent snorkelling kit from cafe. Note that there is 2 parking spots. The second is a bit further down to get to but keep driving down and you’ll be rewarded with less walking

Pretty; little sketchy way to get there but the beach is pretty. Bring water shoes! You have to walk on uneven stone & coral surface to get in; also the waves break on that surface and sometimes the current pulls you with it

To get here, the best way is to contact the local snorkeling guide. They will take you to 4 spots including Gamat Bay by a small boat. So far Gamat Bay has the clearest and calmest wave out as compared to Manta Bay and Crystal Bay. Small fishes comes out to you. The best things are no need to swim so hard, the current takes you slowly. One tip Before coming here, please consult with your tour guide. So that the weather and waves are perfect.

Awesome place! Quite chill beach with not too many people. Great snorkeling, saw a turtle! Best time for us was an hour before low tide so you are close to the coral and can swim among the fishes. The beach bar is great and good prices.

This beach is not accessible by road which makes it extremely private😊. Do not miss snorkelling here, you can hire snorkeling gears from the Cafe on the beach or from the store at the top. Ask the locals for the best timing to see turtles, the corals look extremely healthy with vibrant fisheries. I hope they won't build a road on to here and make it touristy.

Great place! There is a warung where you can rent flippers and a mask for 70 rupees (December 2023). To see the stunning corals and lots of fish, you will need to walk over the rocks for about 8 meters. Turtles sometimes swim here, but we were unlucky enough to see them. There is a toilet, a shower and a foot wash. You can also have a delicious meal at Warung. Relax on a bag chair with a view of the sea and the neighboring island. There were few people.

A little bit sketchy to go there with motorbike. With car i don't know where they can park. Either you can enjoy the slope with your bike until the very bottom parking if you feel well, or you can park the bike 300meters above and continue walking. A small path drive you to the beach. Very quiet place. Place to eat and drink with free umbrella, but haven't tried. Snorkeling is very ok, but you should be careful with the stream as it can suck you to the other side. That's why i decided to stay near the boats

Free entry , road is stone and dirt . Park your bike then walk down about 5-7 minutes. Not so many tourist as well . No warung /shops (one bungalow in renovation progress) . Bring ur own water ,towels ,and you’re good to go .

Great beach! It is not busy at all and the sunbeds are free. The best part by far is the snorkelling!!! It’s breathtaking with so many colours and fish. You can rent gear here for 35k. I went from 3-5pm and was still good for swimming. The walk down is around 5-10mins but doable, unlike Kelingking beach and others.
