I went here to witness Super worm equinox moon and it didn't disappoint me. The memorial is on the hill overlooking nearby Fremantle port and Indian Ocean. Memorial is dedicated to World War I fallen heroes so a sense of proud can be experienced and shown to kids. It is completely worth even if you just come for a stroll after meal.

I hadn't been here for forty years, so when we happened to be at a function across the road we took the opportunity to remember Fremantle's fallen and their comrades who fought beside them. Situated off High Street Fremantle atop the city's highest hill, the centre obelix was placed so that it is the first building in Fremantle you can see when approaching from the Indian Ocean. There are additional memorial chapels on the perimetre for WWII servicemen. The importance of Garden Island Submarine Base is underlined by the memorials to Australian and allied submariners. The grounds are luxurious. Deep spongy lawn surrounds the memorial and the crest of the hill where the oblelix stands offers the best view of the Port of Fremantle.

Fremantle war memorial is a peaceful place to visit. Nicely maintained lawn which is better to walk on your barefoot and never forget the evening view.

I stumbled across this very impressive War Memorial. What a perfect and beautiful location. Very moving and well set out. A great honour to those that served.

One of my favourite places in Fremantle, looking out over the beautiful Freo Harbour. One of the most lush grassed spots for a good romantic picnic or family picnic, or maybe just to Photograph the Sunset.

Amazing place to be at night. So quiet and peaceful. The only thing missing is Public Toilets. There are none on site. We had to leave the place and drive back home for toilets.

On god I have never seen a park lawn as lush as this! With almost 360-degree views of Fremantle, it's a great spot to park yourself on a park bench and look over Fremantle Harbour and Garden Island. Built and unveiled in 1928 to commemorate the fallen soldiers of WWI, over time it has also included tributes to WWII, the Korean War, Malayan Emergency and Vietnam War. No tables or public toilets. Just a great spot for a quick break, picnic, or scenic park bench lunch.

A gorgeous hill paying respects to the fallen with spectacular views over the Port City. The perfect place to observe the unique layout of Fremantle and spot Rottnest island on the horizon. Top tip: Come here for sundown with a glass of wine and nibbles.

Was passing by and decided to stop. Very glad I did. Beautiful view of the harbour and town. It was very peaceful. Could hear traffic in the distance which did not detract from the peace. I'm planning to come back to have a dinner picnic with my family around the same time of day again (late afternoon/ evening). There is no shade. Lots of parking around the park and on top of the hill (you can drive up - entry off High St).

Beautiful spot overlooking not only Fremantle but the perth hills, Rottnest island, Carnac island, garden island and the harbour. Some war memorials have information boards and the grass area is very inviting by for a Picknick or little rest.

First time visiting here, nice picturesque area, well manicured lawns with rolling hills. Hard to believe it's surrounded by residential houses. Visit the war memorial and the information plaques scattered around the area. Kids will like exploring the war memorabilia and the grass.

Beautiful views over Fremantle Harbour area. Amazing memorial with several smaller maritime memorials. ANZAC Day dawn service, here, would be spectacular. Well worth the visit if you're visiting the area.
