They show on their advertising the plants nicely packed they do NOT. My plants arrived half empty of dirt as it got tossed around and half dead. I repacked dirt and tried to water but little luck. Also plants I received didn't match up what I ordered, it didn't even match up when they sent me confirmation email of order (which was different from published pack). Tried contacting no return contact. Note: I would not normally return and update a review, unless things got resolved. But if i could put zero stars i would. I had Hayden ring me within 40 minutes of me putting this review up and he was all i will get this fixed please send me photos blah blah blah even though photos are on this review. I have sent multiple emails to try and get some response and nothing. I have monitored my spam box just in case and nothing. I should have saved teh number he used to ring me because there is no number to contact them on that i have been able to find. I guess that says a lot about the business. BEWARE.... do your research and look at reviews also take note of the high star reviews.

I also had issues with the plant delivery! I was super excited to get several native plants and wanted to support local businesses during lockdown, but half of te plants I ordered died within a few days and customer service did not make any gesture whatsoever! The rest of the plants survived (thankfully given the hefty price tag!) but the experience left me rather dubious about Melbourne Bushfoods...

What can I say? MB have been so helpful, prompt and live up to (and exceed) expectations. I have planted out 8 of the native fruit trees received, and (after securing them with Chick wire), they are all thriving. Also can't believe that MB were able to send all of my siblings (7) sets of the bushfood goodies from Christmas. The last one arrived in Vancouver Yesterday, and my sister was ecstatic to have something so special from home. No one, apart from Vancouver sis, has anything left from their parcels, and I still can't believe the ease with which to he gifts were sent out! Would have arrived before Christmas (had I ordered before the cutoff, read the emails asking for addresses and responded in a timely manner.. ), MB are on the ball, send out fab product and no task is too hard! Cheers guys, You rock!!!

Your company's handling of my order has left me seething with frustration. I spent over $150 for the order. Two of the pigface plants, receive two mangled specimens, because of the terrible internal packaging. Despite providing photographic evidence clearly showing the damage caused by your internal packaging, your support team shockingly refused to take responsibility. It's not the outer box that's the problem; it's your inadequate internal packaging that nearly severed the plants into two pieces, not one but two of them! I sent you photos to prove it, and what did I get? Absolute silence. All I wanted as a customer was what you promised – undamaged plants. Instead, I got shattered pigface plants and zero accountability on your end. This isn't a delivery mishap; it's a catastrophic failure in your packaging design that ruined the plants!

I have ordered from this company quite a bit and have almost always been very happy with the products. The plants sometimes take a beating in transport (not MB's fault) but they have all bounced back pretty quickly. And the native foods they sell are always great. Also the care instructions on their website are super helpful!

I love the fact that I can actually support local native communities and explore delicious bush ingredients at the same time with a simple online order. I was quite impressed with the overall packaging, the delicious products and the follow up from the company. It seemed like they actually not only cared about what I think about their product but cared about me as a customer. I am hooked! Highly recommend it :)!

I am so happy that I found this place during a trip to Melbourne! Good range, great value and exceptional tasting native Australian ingredients that are a great source of inspiration for cooking. Their chocolate range has a great texture and is impeccably balanced, and orders from their online shop come beautifully packaged and arrive promptly. Plus the team are some really nice people! I could not recommend them enough!

I bought 2 Atherton Rasberry Bushes recently & gave one to a friend, & they were delivered quite quickly in about a week, & they were packed so carefully so no damage in transit very healthy & they have grown quickly with new shoots already. I can’t wait to know when the season of Berries will come, it will be lovely!

Update: After a few emails with Melbourne Bushfood I was offered replacement plants for the ones that arrived in poor condition. I have just received the replacements and they were much better packaged and a lot healthier than the previous delivery. They were still dry after being sent on a Wednesday and spending the weekend waiting for delivery on a Monday. Thank you Marivic for your assistance. Original review: Plants arrive poorly packaged with dirt spilled throughout the box. Even the postie mentioned the soil coming out of the box when he delivered it. Upon opening, the plants were very dry with very little soil even when considering what was spilt and roots exposed. 2 plants were completely dried out and I’m assuming dead. I guess it was due to it being shipped on a Tuesday and taking a week to arrive. Very disappointed as I was really forward to adding these plants to my native food forest. Doubt I’ll even buy from them again, which is disappointing as their website and concept looked very promising.

I've purchased quite a few plants and items from Melbourne Bushfoods and have had a wonderful experience! The plants arrived quickly and were healthy and happy. And when there was a mix up with my last order their customer service was second to none and a replacement plant right away. As a courtesy we were able to keep the plant that was sent by mistake which was lovely. I would highly recommend buy from them and can't wait to grow up our little collection of native bush foods!

I just received my latest plant shipment from Melbourne Bushfood - I am steadily growing my bush food garden. The quality of the plants is excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending shipping to NSW. Thanks for the notes on caring for the plant and your excellent customer support. Keep up the great work!

I visited this gorgeous nursery in person and had a lovely time! There’s such an amazing variety of native plants to choose from and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m very happy with the plants and gift box I purchased. Will be returning again!

The plants are always in beautiful nick even after being posted 3000 KMs. The nursery is unusual, it's got edible Australian plants that are hard to find but very hardy. Mine survive in 53 degree heat in the arid tropics. I order for friends and myself and intend to for many years.

Would not recommend buying any plants. First order the plants never arrived. I was offered with a voucher to get the same product again however had to pay the gap as the price has increased. Items did arrive in however in bad condition due to delays. Would suggest to get express post to avoid any disappointment.

Plants arrived poorly packaged, not at all like the pictures on their website, with no planting instructions and of the 8 plants ordered 2 had been swapped due to their inability to supply what they have advertised on their website. Identification tags were all loose in the box as well as plenty of soil that should have been in the pots. No email was sent regarding the swapping of plants, apparently there is a disclaimer on their website but common courtesy and basic customer service would dictate that contact should be made when 25% of the order is unable to be supplied. When I contacted the business to let them know the issues with the order I was offered a 5% discount on my next order, which is coincidently the same discount anyone who signs up to their mailing list gets. I've got not desire to create another order discount or not. I'll stick with Australian Plants Online and Mudbrick Herb Cottage for online seedlings.

Such a fabulous place to explore and shop for edible native plants. The boys were so helpful and willing to share their knowledge and expertise of all of the plants. I have been following them on Instagram for quite a while but this was my first visit and, once I’ve planted my first haul, I will be back to source more wonderfully fascinating plants for my garden. Thanks Hayden - love your work

Bought finger lime and it the plant arrived healthy, pest free, well packed and in great condition. After a few months it is already fruiting like heaps for such a small plant. Thank you! Highly recommend. Thinking of buying more!

Its with a heavy heart posting this as I wanted to support this company so bad. I ordered back in 24/10/2023 and when they arrived they looked like this… they blamed auspost but I think its how they packed it as there was no tape and they were all bunched up In the one box. I was given a refund but I had to email a few times to get a response. very bad communication.

These plants have a will to live! I was unexpectedly in hospital when my Atherton Raspberry plants were delivered, they were left in the sealed carton indoors for two days, then removed from box but left in packaging for a further four days. They were unwrapped and put under a tree until I was able to deal with them. One is now in a pot the other in the garden, both with new growth, I can't wait for them to start to fruit.

Such an incredible concept, using wild Australian flavours to craft handmade chocolate bars. I was so excited to try and I will give a quick overview of each flavour, in order of my most to least (my personal preference) favourite. You can try the whole collection for yourself for $67.50, or pick a favourite for $12.50 a bar from their online store or stockists. Perfect for gifts/hampers or a special treat. 🌰 Salted Macadamia - My top pick! I’m obsessed, it’s texturally perfect. Creamy caramel chocolate with crunchy macadamias. Melt in your melt good. 🍿 Wattleseed - It may look abit strange, but it is very multidimensional. A variety of flavours going on with notes of coffee, popcorn and milk chocolate. 🍫 Salted Pepperberry - This one is very subtle. A really nice, vegan, almost dark chocolate. 🍫 Davidson Plum - Slightly bitter/tart dark chocolate. πŸ“ Strawberry Gum - A white chocolate with pretty strong flavours of strawberry and basil. Like nothing I’ve tried before! πŸ‹ Lemon Myrtle - Quite a citrusy dark chocolate, but balanced!

I have bought many native food plants from Melbourne Bushfood and cannot speak highly enough about the company. They have great products and excellent service. I have a garden full of their plants. More importantly for me, they have a policy of being transparently ethical in their business. They have established good relationships with their Indigenous suppliers and profit share with them. A portion of all Melbourne Bushfood profits are invested in charity projects. I’m an extremely happy (regular) customer.

Beautiful plants arrived in little brown cartons with speedy delivery. The Riberry is just gorgeous and already has new purple growth after only a week.

Have orded a few plants fron MB all arrived in good condition. My Native raspberry did not survive very well in the constact change extremes with the weather.Contacted MB about the native raspberry dying after a few months but my Midyim Berry Plant is thriving The staff were very helpful in this matter and was Offered a Atherton Raspberry at a discounted price and free shipping as they had no replacement for the Native Raspberry. Kind knowledgeable and supportive staff. Well please with the plants and services the have provided

Great service and products. Bought the Bushfood starter kit for a gift, and despite some slight damage to one plant the customer service went above and beyond my expectations to help replace it. Thanks!
