😠 If you go to this place and you're not already a scientoligist or doing it as a dare, you should probably just skip the free personality test and go ahead and sign up. This guy was one of the biggest scammers of all time and this an apt memorial the fraud perpetrated on weak minded, gullible folks. People often mention tour, museum, life, Scientology, Hubbard, exhibition, history, interesting, people,

A well-made exhibition but with many easy to spot fallacies. This just goes even further to show the truth about scientology. I will agree with the other reviewers that the museum is well-made and the tour is professional and does not pressure anyone to join. But to anyone who actually knows about L. Ron Hubbard's history knows that they pretty much took every chance they could to make him look better and glossed over the worse parts of his life. They focus on his travels to Asia and how he absolutely loved it there. If that is true, why did he make racist comments about China? If he was such a hero in the army, why did he have to lie about his wounds and medals? I tried out their e-meter too, and anyone who knows even basic neuroscience knows that it simply measures electrical signals sent via nerves from chemical neurotransmitters. I tested this out and found that the e-meter is extremely sensitive, perhaps purposely to pick up tiny resistance to look correct. Don't go to this waste of time. You already know that Scientology is a fraud.

My friend Troy and I went in there a few years ago because it was free. We were curious what this museum was all about, so we checked it out. It's an in-depth history of Dianetics author, L. Ron Hubbard. Now, first of all, I'm not a Scientologist, just an open minded person that enjoys science fiction. I thought this museum was a little interesting. The Museum features a lot of his sci-fi books and lectures. There're a few alien statues in there from the author's books like Battlefield Earth and Mission Earth. I saw John Travolta's awful film "Battlefield Earth" a few years ago, and the statue in there look nothing like the character in the movie. The Alien didn't have dreadlocks and club kid boots! It's much more scarier and looks like a Giant Reptilian Insect of some sort. The lady that conducted the tour was very nice, though, and so were the young women working there. I asked one of the ladies if they believe in Aliens and she was taken back by surprise that I asked her that question. I wasn't trying to catch her off guard; I'm just a curious person. You know what I'm saying? Besides, who doesn't believe in Extra Terrestrials? I certainly do. I loved the movie E.T. :-) There was a device there for auditing called the E-Meter which reads the stress level of a person. The meter has two cans attached to the machine, and it measures subtle changes in a person's electrical current. You hold the cans in each hand, and they ask you tough questions or questions that make you feel uneasy. My friend and I tried the machine and the meter barely moved. The lady was surprised my stress level was so low. I told her it's because I meditate a lot, laugh a lot and forgive a lot, so I guess that's why it was so low. Nothing stresses me out. The other lady said, Scientologist don't meditate which I thought was interesting. Maybe if they teach meditation, they wouldn't need that machine. I'm not judging, just observing. We liked the tour; we thought it was interesting. They also have some interesting books in there though like how to detoxify your body and other self-improvement books. However, make no mistake, though: the museum is intended as an introduction to their church. It's not for me though since I like to meditate. It relaxes me.

The L. Ron Hubbard Life Exhibition is a captivating journey through the exciting (and often controversial) life of the founder of Scientology. This FREE exhibition offers visitors a chance to explore the many facets of Hubbard's life, from his early years to his career as a science fiction writer and the development of Scientology itself. The exhibition has an extensive collection of artefacts, documents, and multimedia presentations that provide an in-depth look at Hubbard's life, from personal letters and photographs to original manuscripts and audio recordings. Visitors are guided through the exhibition by knowledgeable staff, eager to answer questions, providing a welcoming atmosphere for those curious about Hubbard's life and legacy. The tour starts with his upbringing and early interests, giving insights into what shaped his worldview. As you progress through the exhibition, you witness his transformation from a pulp fiction writer to a spiritual leader. The layout and design of the exhibition are visually appealing, and multimedia elements keep visitors engaged throughout. In conclusion, the L. Ron Hubbard Life Exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the life of an enigmatic figure whose influence has reached far beyond science fiction. It provides a valuable resource for those interested in the history of Scientology and the man who founded it. It's worth noting that, although the exhibition is curated with a positive bias towards Hubbard and Scientology, visitors are not pressured to join the Church of Scientology. It's purely an exhibition, offering a fascinating glimpse into L. Ron Hubbard's life and contributions.

This museum is now locked at all times due to protesters. Almost all the positive reviews are from Scientology cultists. Even when the doors were open pre-Covid the only guests were Chinese tourists who will do anything that is FREE. IF you are curious (the museum is near Hwd/Vine) go into the lobby and look around. There are some interesting images of the history of this major Hwd. bldg which was once a bank (hence the name Hwd Guarantee Bldg.) DO NOT take the tour. The guides will lock the door behind you. You cannot get out. The tour has offended some for piling on the nonsense about the great leader "North Korea" style. Then you have to watch a long video designed to indoctrinate you, followed by the "big finish": an exhibit opens up showing all the keys to the cities the cult has tricked into having sent to them. This makes them look legitimate.

Extremely inconvenient tour schedule. I was only going on the tour to troll the scientologists, but still, had I honest intentions they'd have alienated me, and not in the way that they like.

Interesting museum. A part of history! Beautiful interior design. And, there are excursions in English and also with translation to other languages, including Russian. Quality of translation is good. And short movies at the end of excursions are in a few languages. It was made to let tourists better understand the content by giving them to watch those in native language. The most impressive part is the grand finale! They show how many diplomas the author's works have. That presentation is made in traditional Hollywood's style! And, the admissions are free.

This has no business being advertised. Remember folks, Scientology doesn’t believe in age which means they don’t believe harming children in ANY WAY is illegal or immoral. They are predators who protect predators.

I'm a combat veteran who went to Christian Seminary and was taught that Hubbard was "of the devil" 😈. But this past weekend I stepped foot in one and they helped me out so much with my mental health. And with simple, natural basic techniques too. I'm really amazed and saddened that people hate on this dude so much. I would give a 5th star if you guys hugged more.

Great museum, with a really informative tour guide. I had no idea Hubbard achieved so many great things. Best part is that it's free and absolutely no pressure to buy anything

They are trafficking people out of this location including children every single night all night long. They use unmarked white vans with completely blacked out windows, loading them in a narrow alley behind the building and trying to hide this from the public. Scientology is a dangerous criminal organization that's heavily involved in human trafficking, slave labor, child and elder abuse, etc.

I found it amazing how much experience and accomplishment that Hubbard crammed into his life.

I heard you got to hold cans while being hypnotized so naturally I was hoping to hold Leah Remini's cans. When I mentioned her name they pretended they didn't know her and asked me to leave. There were a bunch of tiktoker kids outside asking me about a See Organ but I said my eyesight was fine. Kids these days. There are no snacks served on the tour but there is a very clean public toilet. Really, super clean, like it was scrubbed with a toothbrush. It was a strange but interesting experience.

I had the pleasure of being at the L. Ron Hubbard Life Exhibition on November 26th before the big traditional Thanksgiving Day Parade. The tour guides were so kind. It was fun as there were little kids coming in with their families it seemed to draw in the nicest people. The Exhibition staff were letting people use their facilities and giving water out to people who were waiting for the parade. It was so warm and welcoming. Moreover, the museum is fascinating. I have always had a strong curiosity about life and philosophy and Mr. Hubbard’s work answers so many practical questions. I loved seeing the history from when he was a little boy and especially about all the humanitarian work that has been done. I am looking forward to coming back with my friends! Warmest regards, Linda
