Every dish they make is fantastically delicious. During this pandemic we decided to try everything on their menu, we don't duplicate a dish no matter how much we enjoyed it the previous time. Each new one is as great as the previous.

I doordashed from here for Eid last week. The food was delicious and I have no complaints about that. But the quantity was abysmal. I ordered a total of $130 worth of food and the rack of lamb was basically all bone, and little meat. The quantity of rice was very little. Each container the curry and different items came in were very small. I ordered many dishes intended to celebrate a holiday with 2 other people and it was disappointing how little we got. The food was absolutely delicious and my praises to the chef for that, they know how to cook good food, but the quantity makes me resist wanting to go here again.

Happy to have some Afghan food nearby! The food is delicious but the portions are small and everything is overpriced. The food is also not prepared in the traditional style and may not be what you’re expecting if you’re Afghan :) (or if you’re familiar with Afghan food) but it’s still amazing. Service is fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back but sparingly because of the prices.

Arrived around closing time and the place wasn’t busy. The hosts and the atmosphere were very welcoming. Ordered Murgh kabab with a side of Badenjan Borani (eggplant) and Bolani (turnovers filled with potatoes). The food was on the milder side but extremely tasty. Highly recommended if one wants to try this cuisine.

The food varies between great and okay, but the whole experience makes up for it. The Kabuli pulao, baklava and spinach side vegetables are the best items. The bolani isn't seasoned enough. The servers are friendly and social. The place is intimate and simply decorated. The tables are well spaced so there's a little more privacy to talk than most other places. This is a.place where you can eat and converse at your own pace.

The food and service are consistently good at this cozy and tastefully decorated restaurant. I have been visiting over the past few years and always leave satisfied. My vegetarian favorite is the Bandenjan Borani and my meat lover husband loves the lamb chops. We went with a couple friends and tried the combo for two. Everything tasted excellent.

Amazing food in a very cozy and warm place. The owner, Walid, is very friendly and makes sure you're taken care of. Dishes are varied and bursting with flavor but also not heavy. Excellent house made chilli sauce to turn up the heat if needed. Great selection of wine and beer. Highly recommend. Make reservation on weekends as it does get busy. Great vegetarian and vegan choices.

One of the best meals I’ve had all year. My boyfriend and I got the combo kebab plate, which came with smaller portions of a few of the other entrees and a dessert. Everything was really good. I especially enjoyed the kebabs (chicken and lamb) and the eggplant. We will be spreading the word about this place!

Came in at 5:30 for a dinner with friends. My friends are vegan, while I am not. The server was extremely friendly and helpful, pointing out the dishes that could be made vegan and which ones would not adapt well. The food was lovely and flavourful. I had two pots of the cardamom black tea. I have not had much exposure to Afghani cuisine but I was very impressed by what I had. We shared the Qorma-i Sabzi, Qorma-i Takari, and the Fish Qorma.

Fantastic! I've heard great things about Kabul and finally went last week: they are definitely worth the hype. Very delicious food with beautiful plating, the owner was fun to talk to, and the staff were lovely. A little costly, but the price is fair and matches the quality. I'm vegetarian and the dishes I got were delicious (the eggplant, the ash soup, the pasta, and the rice). Highly recommend any of them as well as the yogurt drink if you want to try something interesting. The desserts were also fantastic. Excellent mousse!

I have had Afghan food all my life in many different places around the world Kabul Afghan cuisine ranks superb in quality and taste by any comparison Seattle has most discriminative taste of food in the country and for a restaurant to last for over 30 years with high quality and consistency is a great attribute to the founders and management

If I could give this place 10 stars I absolutely would. Not only was it the best lamb I ever had, to say nothing of the sides, but the service and welcoming attitude of the house went above and beyond my expectations. The owner made a special point to go around and talk to each table, and was so nice to bring out a birthday baklava, complete with a candle! Finally I appreciated their kindness towards our child, since I know that children in a restaurant can go in any direction. Despite the fact that I don't think the restaurant would be considered "family friendly" they treated our three year old like he was part of their family (we did go earlier so the restaurant would be mostly empty). Please go here and enjoy every part of this restaurant experience!!!

We have been coming to Kabul for 5 or 6 years now and have added two kids to our family in that time, both of whom have been welcomed with open arms (during non-pandemic times, of course). Pre-COVID, we had the same waiter every time and even under less than ideal circumstances now, he asks the person picking up take-out about our family's health and genuinely cares about the customers who come by. I used DoorDash once or twice at the start of the pandemic, but they must add on significant fees to each dish somewhere in the process because the food was roughly $30-50 more expensive than when I have picked up. Calling in the order and picking it up with a mask (the staff wears masks and gloves and cleans high touch surfaces between customers) also means that one less person handles my food, so I don't mind at all. Our favorite dishes are: - Ash soup - Bolani turnovers (my 16 mo old son eats the yogurt dipping sauce by itself because it's so good) - Qorma-i-Sabzi (vegetarian spinach dish) - Chicken and/or lamb kebabs (add the eggplant; it's phenomenal) - Firni pudding for dessert My husband has a number of food sensitivities that make restaurant food challenging, but because of the wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options that are still extremely tasty and the staff's knowledge of what's in their food and willingness to make tweaks, we look forward to eating here for years to come.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Seattle that we've been dining at for years! The service is outstanding and every single item on the menu is fantastic -- some of our favorites: bolani (appetizer), the beef kabobs with the eggplant side, and ashak pasta dish. So good, we drive all the way from Maple Valley -- highly recommend!!!

Excellent food, cozy atmosphere. This was our favorite spot in Seattle for the 3 years we lived here. And when we moved away, I had one last dinner here, knowing I would not get to taste such good Afghani cuisine for a while.

We went from California for vacation. Happily that we found the Kabul restaurant there in WS. The food was very delicious, definitely is an amazing place to eat. The place is super clean, the staffs were very kind, social, and great. You have tons of options to choose from the Menu. The staffs are always checking on to take off the dirty dishes. Definitely, you can enjoy your time while eat at this place. I highly recommend it! Thank you for your great services we really enjoyed at this restaurant😊

Amazing! Super nice people, incredible food, reasonable prices. We got their kebab combo to sample a bunch of dishes and they were all fantastic-I could eat their lamb kebab every day for the rest of my life and not get tired of it. I can't recommend this place enough!

I was here for a group dinner and we had a great time. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, with advice and suggestions about the menu. The food was very good, starting with the shared appetizers and ending with the desserts. Highly recommended.

Ordered the Ashak for takeout. It's listed as an entree but it's an appetizer size. I had to eat a second dinner after this dish. If the restaurant is going to call this an entree and charge $20 they should make the portion 1.5 to 2x what it is. The dish itself is decent.

I really liked this place and the food, I'll come back and would recommend you to come here.. The owner was there when we were eating and we can see how passionate he is. Also the food was really great, and the rose and pistachio ice cream were just amazing...

Great food and very friendly staff. Loved the food served here. We ordered a bunch of dishes but palav was the clear winner of the show with such a nice flavor deeply embedded in the soft rice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I recommend this place.

The service I had at Kabul was absolutely TOP SHELF service. All the amazing aromatic flavors I experienced here were something I've never experienced before. My buddy and I had a really great conversation with the owner, and from that conversation I can see that he is truly 100% top shelf. We WILL be back very soon along with more friends. You guys knocked those flavors out of the ball park😊❤️❤️.

The food was AMAZING!!! I had never had Afghan cuisine before, and my roommate and I live pretty far from this location but I am so excited to come back! Everything from appetizer to dessert was phenomenal. Usually I'm unable to finish my meals, but I cleared the plate of my very generous serving and had to resist the urge to lick the sauce off of the dish. The absolute highlight was the Firni. I could eat it everyday! The family that runs this restaurant is so kind and really cares for the local community and their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went 40 minutes before closing and they were dead but door was still open to we went in and were immediately told "We are closed!" It says you close you at 9:30 and it was only 8:47. "No we closed now!!" Welp thanks for nothing pal. Definitely could have been more professional about it!

Small and cozy family owned afghan cuisine place. We tried the chicken and lamb kebabs, and the lamb rack. The food was really flavorful. Baklava for desserts is a must try. Service is slow, and if you are more than four, they expect you to call for them to prep a table for you.

Incredible spice infused rice (palau), lam was tender and flavourful. Excellent service and ambiance. Reminds me of an Italian family restaurant, but Afghani.

Congratulations. Just the fact that you took the time to research this place is enough to know that you enjoy good food of all varieties. That said, let me save you the trouble. GO! The food is fantastic! Never had afghan food before and I’m already planning my next visit. We started with the mushroom Qorma and shared the lamb kebab and eggplant dish (I’ll come back and edit this comment with the actual name later). O.M.G. Lamb was cooked to a perfect medium rare / medium. Some of the most tender lamb I have ever had. Followed it with Firni and the pistachio ice cream. Plenty of vegetarian dishes available for those who are a little more selective about what they eat. if it was anything like what we had tonight, you’ll enjoy it.
