This is one of the best values you could invest in for yourself. Maria is a fabulous intro host, ESPECIALLY if your only language is English. The market was a very authentic adventure, especially for a fresh seafood lover from Alaska. The paella cooking was really a fun learning experience. We had delicious cheese, ham & small pastries with the best sangria I've ever tasted. Good wine with the tasty meal, 2 different Valencian liqueurs & wonderful coffee. I wish I wasn't driving or I would've indulged much more. This is one of those meals that you remember as being one of your memorable moments in life. Plus all the other people were fun & enjoyable, up for a unique epicurean experience. Don't miss this.

It was an amazing experience during our stay in Valencia. The cooking class team is very authentic and encouraged to explain you not only everything about the cooking but also about the history of Paella in general. The included tapa starters and the sangria were as excellent as the paella and there was fruits served afterwards. For us, this was the highlight of our trip.

This was the top activity of our trip to Valencia. With the guided tour to the market and explanation of how to make sangria it was more then a workshop paella, it was a Valencian Experience. Both the lady who did the tour as well as the Chef were friendly, warm people and clearly interested to make it a great event for everyone. Whenever I go back to Valencia I will book myself again on this class although it then won't be my first paella.

Took this class to find out more about authentic paella. So happy I did! I had heard that it originated here, and learned about the three distinct types, which require fresh ingredients. Our guide Mary showed and taught us about them at the market, and then we prepared two types in the kitchen with Raul. Experiencing this with others was truly delightful, and very worthwhile.

This was an experience to remember! So well organized and so much fun. We Shopped and learned about ingredients, then made 3 different Paella’s, ate tapas, drank sangria and wine with fun people and an awesome staff. Don’t miss this! And come hungry.

This was a very well rounded cooking class! It was such a special experience to go to the local market and help pick out the ingredients for our Paella. I’m not much of a chef back home and have never made Paella but the chef did a great job explaining the importance of the ingredients and instructing us how to complete each step. The tapas, sangria and dessert was an unexpected bonus! Thank you Mary and Jordi!!! Plus we made friends with the others in the class and ended up spending the rest of the day in Valencia with them!

When in Valencia, it is a must to eat paella, but even better, to learn how to make paella yourself. In Holland I am giving cooking classes myself for over 10 years. So I was very curious how I would experience a cooking class given by another cook. Well, it was really a fantastic experience!! I learned so many things and tricks. We started with the tour around the market. Nice to meet he vendors and heard their stories. And to buy there the fresh ingredients. When arriving at the cooking lstudio Chef Ramon already made very nice tapas and Jose prepared a wonderful sangria. I learned how to make paella the Valencian way, and more important, also what not to do (for instance adding lemon). So, this workshop is definitely not a tourist trap, but a very nice, rewarding experience with a lot of fun! Thank you very much Jose, Ramon and Oscar!!

Really wonderful experience, you were all so welcoming despite the crazy circumstances of what was happening outside. We loved learning everything you had to teach us and thank you for making my 16 yr old son feel comfortable. The food was amazing, you created the best atmosphere. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Thankyou so much.

We booked this experience with two families, and 5 children between us. Ramon and Mary did an amazing job of including the children in the experience, (they were able to help with everything). I felt it was good value, sangria and nibbles included, plus a delicious paella lunch with wine is the end result. If you are looking for a fun and relaxed way to learn all about Valencian Paella - this is the place to do it! I would highly recommended My First Paella. Thank you Ramon and Mary.

This was the highlight of my trip! Our hosts were Fantastic with a wealth of local knowledge that allowed the entire group to immerse ourselves in Valenciana culture. We prepared our meals under expert supervision, snacking and drinking as we went (The rosemary and white wine mussels were delicious). Then we all sat down to enjoy our creations. Great work guys!

🫤 The place is very nicely decorated, as if you were surrounded by tents and in a jungle. Very well done. The food was delicious too. What is a major disadvantage of this restaurant is that you have a time block of 1.5 hours. We were with another couple of friends and had to order everything immediate...
