I started off really liking this place it's in a cute area and very convenient, but then came the pest problems. My building was taken over by mice and we caught 5 mice in our apartment alone and know that other residents had issues too. The apartment complex didn't really take it seriously and put down poison in the kitchen but really didn't really check different areas for holes or nests because with that many mice there must be a nest nearby. I will say there are a few maintenance people who are super helpful and take helping residents/their jobs very seriously, but there's only so much they can do - it's a management problem to be fixed. While I haven't seen any mice in my apartment recently after additional measure on my part I've taken to try make sure they don't come back into my apartment, I still hear occasional scratching in the walls which means there are still some in the building, but again they don't seem to be serious about this serious heath hazard because the response I got was "we can't do anything if they're in the walls". They really should be fumigating the entire building at this point to really solve the problem! Don't live here unless you are prepared to have a few extra roommates of the rodent kind!

I wish i could give less than 1 star. My husband and I moved into a one bedroom unit here. Red flag as soon as we walked in they said we werent allowed see the place until we signed the lease. This piece of junk was not worth the price. It seems like everything in unit will break if we touch it. Not to mention we had all sorts of problems with mother nature. Rats, roaches, bees, and fricken flies, you name it. We bought a mini oven because our oven leaks gas. We call maintenance several times for them to do nothing. MOST OF THE TIME they dont answer! MOST of the time! Our dumpster was set on fire several times nobody did anything about it. Mold in the hvac(we did a test). Washing machine destroyed our clothes. Water damage. Any problems along the walls of the unit, oh they just paint over it to fix it. They painted over a whole air vent in the bathroom of this unit. And finally, all the good reviews about this place are very very suspicious. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! This is a real review. You have been warned.

Leaving here for 4 months. Weed smokers that the smeel and smoke come into my house. People smoking on the hallways and the management says they can't do nothing to avoid the situations... Animals walking on the ceilings for days and they just text you saying they're resolving and it took days to be solved. Neighbors listen loud music on the balcony for the whole day as the other neighbors are obligated to listen their music too... Amenities is really good but the service and people. It's ridiculous. Can't wait to move out

Apartment is old and smell, but clean. Service is great. Swimming pool is amazing. The neighbors are pretty quiet. The ground floor has a nice floors without sounds. I can hear my neighbors from first floor, but it’s pretty rarely and not so loud.

Resigning my lease a 2nd time and thought I’d leave a review for anyone considering moving into the Fairfax Square Apartments At first glance you can tell the apartments aren’t modern apartments so if that’s what you are looking for this is definitely not for you. Pros: The community is very diverse and everyone tends to stay to themselves but very friendly in passing. The landscape is well maintained and there are lots of sidewalks for casual strolls along the neighborhood. The location is perfect to get onto 66, 495 or Rt 50. Maintenance is very professional, timely and efficient – can’t thank them enough for all they do. The clubhouse/pool/gym are very well kept and clean. Leasing office staff super helpful and are always willing to answer any questions. Cons: Being on the ground floor I get a lot of spider crickets that make their way into my unit in the spring/summer time. The ceiling/flooring is not the best at keeping the footsteps from units above quiet - you will hear every step taken. Ice maker in freezer makes weird smelling and tasting ice so I have not used the ice maker for months – tried to get it resolved but was told theres not filter from the main water line that feeds into the fridge. No fan in the bathroom – it gets really humid in the bathroom with no airflow. Noises & smells can sometimes come through the vents – I can hear conversations in my bathroom vents at times and I use to get the smell of weed from my old neighbors in the bathroom as well. Overall I’m content with my experience at Fairfax Square Apartments

Office staff are excellent, very responsive and helpful. Patrick, Polly, and Gerard have provided wonderful service to me. I can’t complain about my townhouse either—the people leaving negative reviews about pests just need to actually clean their homes :). Maintenance has been very responsive and provided great service as well. Love my new stove installed expeditiously by Geo!

    1. Mice I heard squeaking sounds behind or inside the oven on the first day I moved in. I sealed a big hole on the wall under the sink. It's torn off on the next day. 2. Endless ants and all kinds of insects I did all I can. Spray, ant repellent boxes everywhere, sealing the gaps of windows. But ants are coming from under the corner of carpet. I wasn't even on the ground floor. 3. Irresponsible maintenance Our dryer was malfunctioning for half month. No matter how hard we tried to explain that it couldn't dry the laundry as before. They just say "It's rotating, it's heating. Nothing's wrong. Just try smaller loads." In the end we opened the machine and found huge lot of water in the vent duct. Because some dead animal stuck the chimney and the steam couldn't get out 4. Noise People downstairs playing loud music from 9am to 11pm on weekends. We can feel the floor's shaking under our feet. 5. Suspicious people in parking lot On every weekend, there is an old man in a blue SUV (definitely no resident parking sticker, and obviously has mental issue) parking near our building and playing music with a huge power speaker on a deafening volume. 6. Arson in dumpster (TWICE!)

Absolutely terrible place to stay. Daily approx more than 6 mice will be in the house and the leasing staff are absolutely inexperienced and rude.
