My colleague and I left there full of wonderful thoughts about the food and full bellies. Absolutely delicious. Staff equally friendly! Looking forward to another experience. We got the rainbow bowl with chicken and the hot chicken breast with rice and corn. We also tried the custard dessert. All fabulous!

What a neat restaurant in National Harbor. This is a restaurant located in the Waterfront District on the historic Potomac River. It advertises that it, “... is helping the people of Oxon Hill find their spicy place, one piece of flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken at a time.” It originated in a small town in South Africa in 1987 and has grown to include locations all across the globe. It is only a few minutes from Washington, DC in the National Harbor complex. There is a convenient parking garage right across the street. It is casual dining. As you enter the restaurant you are taken to a table. There is a QR code that allows you to order online. It was a remarkably quick process. The restaurant is a mixture of tables and booths with many different styles of art on the wall. The space between the tables is a little tight so is hard to get a stroller around. The food was delivered to the table within 10 minutes. The chicken had a very good taste. The restaurant was clean and the staff was pleasant. The prices are reasonable for the area with bowls between$10 and $14. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good meal at a reasonable price in the National Harbor area.

VERY slow service. Waited a long time to not only have the food delivered to the table, but to even get cups for drinks. Many of the tables were still not bussed (when we got there- only one table was clean) and the silverware situation was odd. When the food was finally at the table, we were not given any silverware. We sat staring at our food for a while before deciding that we had to go ask them. They were not that busy, and yet the service was very slow. They gave us “to go” silverware in plastic wrapping (despite the other tables having metal silverware and I noticed a table (normal dining table) with silverware that looked like it just came out of the dishwasher). Later on someone brought us metal silverware (must have been a miscommunication somewhere). The food, however was great! The chicken was fresh and juicy! The amount of avocado on my salad/bowl was great! They did however forget the rice side I (stupidly) paid $2.99 for- and I had to go to the counter to request it- but other than that the food was actually quite good. The service was such a put off though!

We could smell this place from outside and had to stop in while visiting. We have several of these back in Chicago but never tried back home. Everything was amazing. Quite filling and jam packed with flavor. Nice amount of heat *spice* and good portions. Clean establishment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Service is 0. Food is average. Only the chicken wings are good, bowl/ Mac n cheese not so much. But as there are not many options around you in the area.. so this place will be crowded for lunch. Wait time for lunch is horribly managed. Night time , hardly anyone . Yet, they are busy to give water. Horrible service.

#review #yelp We had had a long day with our conference, and I was looking to find something flavorful and tasty for dinner. Given the options that I had at National Harbor, I decided to go to Nando Nando’s. Now I’ve heard of this place quite frequently because I’ve seen the sauces at the store, but I’ve never actually been able to go in. They only have a few American locations in DC and in Chicago. I found the interior very colorful, very bright and very inviting. They had options for takeout as well as options to dine in the restaurant. Now I appreciate my QR codes and menus and the coolest part about this is that you can see yourself use the QR code on the table and look at the menu, and then order whatever you wanted for yourself and the process you just hang out And get to enjoy the interior of the restaurant. I had entered my table number, and my food came out in a really good amount of time. I was able to try some of the actual sauces up at the counter. . I actually got the halloumi appetizer sticks, pea mash, and macaroni and cheese. The halloumi appetizer sticks were amazing. They were so good along with that sauce. I also got the mashed peas which were very tasty and very flavorful. It was a wonderful way to enjoy some beautiful vegetables. The Mac and cheese was good but my least favorite of the items… and that’s typically my favorite! I was really very pleased with my experience, and this may have been some of the best food I had in National Harbor.

Nando’s peri peri chicken is flavorful and tender. I just wish the staff was more knowledgeable about their menu since that experience got me questioning their service. The lady at the counter kept insisting that their family platter is an either or option: you get the 2 skewers with your whole chicken OR you get the 3 large sides and I explained to her that their menu stated PLUS for these sides not OR. I had to get the attention of their colleague for them to rectify a system error and explained to the cashier that in order for the system to accept the order, she will need to ring up the sides in a certain order which worked! Not sure why the cashier kept insisting I was wrong instead of asking for a colleague’s assistance for clarification once the situation came to a standstill. But other than that, food was great!

Nandos: We came pretty late in the night so they were nearly closing but we kinda had the place to ourselves and I must admit, Nandos locations are delicious and very chic inside. There’s always beautiful, unique art work on display and polite staff members. Our plates were dirty when I grabbed them but they simply just offered more with a smile. I enjoy the food for the price that they offer.

The sweet and spicy wrap was really good. I ordered it hot but wish I had ordered extra hot. The macho peas were just ok but I am not a big fan of peas so others might love them. I will be back to try something else if time permits.

Very tasty, yummy, chicken. We tried a chicken salad bowl and half chicken with fries. Both had great flavor. The serving size was good, but depending on how hungry you are, you might want some sides. The employees are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant also had indoor and outdoor seating. There are lots of great dishes to choose from. It's hard to decide.

As the world’s biggest Nando’s fan I was super excited to find this location only 100 meters from our Hotel. The store was beautiful inside and the service was fast and friendly. The food tasted fantastic, it was the perfect end to a wonderful day in DC.

Different Restaurant experience. you are responsible for placing your order, no server will come to you. I opted for the order online, (cellphone) option and it worked quite well. We ordered the Family Platter for 4, and two kids meals, it was not enough for 4 of us. The Sides were small in my opinion. We tried 4 different Sauces, Medium, Hot, Mango and Lime, and Lemon and Herb, The lime, and Vinegar in the sauces is very over powering. The Chicken on the Kabobs had skin left on it and did not get cooked enough for my likeness. For the Price, Quality, and Taste of what we ordered, I was not impressed, and won't order the same thing again. As for another visit, Undecided.

When you arrive, a host will seat you and explain that you can order directly through the app or they can assist you if you prefer to order through a staff person. We chose to order through the app. It took about 15-20 mins to get our food which was not bad…and staff was friendly. They would go around and ask if we needed anything. It’s what you would expect - nothing over the top helpful but helpful enough. Food was good- a bit on the oily side but it was flavorful.

While staying in DC, I ate at this restaurant twice! This is a definite spot to hit up. They have eat in or dine out option. There is seating inside and outside. If you like spicy flavors or just want to have something plain, or you can pick a flavor in between. I had Rainbow chicken bowl with roasted Brussel sprouts. It was so delicious. The second night I had a crunchy chicken wrap with the roasted brussel sprouts again… so delicious! My friend had the chicken skewers and cauliflower, she liked them as well. They make their own lemonade and blood orange lemonade - very good! This place was referred to us by a friend, let me tell you… it did not disappoint!!! Great food, great prices, great atmosphere, what else is there to say! Enjoy!

First time trying Peri Peri and was impressed by the perfect blend if spices and the chicken was incredibly juicy! The original was not incredibly spicy at all but the surprise winner was the lemon herb. DO NOT SLEEP on the lemon herb! Dip it if you wish!

Let's start by saying that I've waited years to try this restaurant. The hype and praise made this seem like a foodie's dream. However I was greatly disappointed. I don't know if they were having a bad day or the main cook was missing but there is no way the chicken was marinated for 24 hours. There was no flavor and I ordered three thighs with fries. I was only able to eat half a thigh by submerging it into the different sauces. The French fries were the best item on the table. The fried cheese wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. The brussel sprouts had no flavor but the cream sauce gave it a boost. As for the staff, you are just advised to use the QR code to order. There is no real interaction or anything to say that the service is good. The atmosphere was busy and nice. At the end of the day, I spent $33.00 on tasteless, slightly charred, grilled chicken that I could have definitely lived without.

I’ve ordered from this place several times. That’s why I don’t understand what happened tonight. I ordered some chicken and rice for my children before I went to work on Uber eats. My wife sent me a picture once the food arrived to our home. I was completely disgusted. The chicken was uncooked and there was basically only a scoop of rice in the container. They must’ve had a new cook or something but I am very disturbed. Im glad my babies didn’t eat that. God bless my wife for catching it.

Nandos Chicken and Mashed Potatoes are spot on! Thank you for bringing this wonderful food to the world. On my 5 Day D.C. trip, this is the best food I have come across, better than even the smokehouse

Parking: We stayed at the Gaylord Resort and Spa and just walked less than 5 mins to there. Parking does appear tough on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm Ambience: Loud, upbeat great for gatherings. Service: The service was pretty unorganized. The line was building to the door and we were made await that if we wanted to dine in we can just skip the line and grab a table. It wasn’t until our party was tired of standing in line and sat at an empty table that they told us dine in can sit anywhere. Food: I ordered the full chicken with half plain and half lemon and herb. Both flavors were amazing. We also ordered the chicken liver with mango lime flavor to try. Overall: The food was good but the service was horrible. We ordered our meal and my main course came with 5-10 min but was still missing the chicken liver. 15 mins later we’re almost done eating and I followed up just cause we really wanted to try it and they said it’s coming out. Another 15 mins passes and we’ve been waiting way too long and everyone was done eating. At this point it was not worth waiting for any longer and I requested for a refund. It was possibly the manager that came out and was not apologetic at all for the delayed service to authorize the refund. There was no accommodation offer for their mistake until I mention that we really wanted to just try it since that was a specific item we went there for. So he said they’re finishing it right now and we can have it for take out. I do appreciate the complimentary item for their mistake but being in the food industry myself I know we should always own up to our mistake and offer accommodations to make it right and not show your frustration towards the customers.

This is a service yourself place. You make your own order by using the device and the bring it out than u pay at the device. But the wings and sauces where everything to live for lol... atmosphere was cute

You go for the food, not the service. The chicken is delicious, juicy. My favorite sauce is the lemon herb, and you can get additional sauce for your chicken from the area near the soft drink machines. The fries are lightly seasoned and are steak fries. Garlic bread though was disappointing. I thought the cauliflower was decent, definitely healthier option but it tasted just decent. 1/2 a chicken will be more than enough food for one person. My boyfriend and I split a whole chicken with a large side of chips. We didn't finish it. The service...or lack thereof included a disorganized, pencil and paper sign-in system for the wait list to be seated. It's a nightmare for large parties. Also, some of our orders were messed up, and a few food orders never arrived. They brought out the food as it was ready, instead of bringing all the food out to our table at once. We did not have an assigned server for the table so it felt like no one wanted to actually help. No one checked to see if we were doing ok. One of our friends had to go and talk to one of the managers about getting the orders that never arrived taken off our bill

My hubby saw this place while we were driving and said we had to stop by. He got to try this when he was in the Middle East. We shared the chicken with Portuguese rice. Mmm, the chicken is extremely flavorful and very juicy. Okay, now I understand why he got super excited. Now, I have to find one this place in Texas. We didn’t stay long because we already had dinner. This location was very clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a breeze to order and get your food. I definitely want to come back or find one closer to home. Yum!
