Recently rehabilitated by an association, the Ziniaré Animal Park has been renamed the Ziniaré Animal Sanctuary. The animals were saved, hats off to the Association and its partners. The setting always remains the same, and well maintained. On site, the available, courteous guides did not hesitate to show us around. As soon as you enter, the Ostriches are the first to welcome you. The lionesses and the hyena, obviously in a cage, are present!! The elk (fairly discreet) are also there, as are hippos, etc. Place of contact with nature, very pleasant.

After a long phase of distress, the Ziniaré animal park is now breathing. Since 2015, the park had practically stopped all activity. It took January 2021 for the park to reopen its doors. It is a park very rich in animal and plant species. It is located at the exit of the town of Ziniaré. I liked the red-necked ostriches which thrive very well in this park. Do not hesitate to stop by Ziniaré if you are staying or passing through Ouagadougou.

After the rehabilitation, the park has some animals to discover

Best zoo in my opinion. Not many animals but we were treated to a private guided tour and were able to see the animals up close, much closer than in Western zoos. Watch out for monkeys going through pockets!

The park is well laid out except that there are not many animals but it is a beautiful setting to visit with the family especially with children I recommend it plus the price is affordable

It is a very friendly place, the guides are welcoming and the species are very easily visible. With a rather well-stocked bar and well-marked trails which allow easy movement from one place to another. It should be noted that the park is very accessible because the cost of entry is not at all expensive. And the Park is at the edge of the asphalt road. Urban transport leaving Ouagadougou leaves you 800 m from the park entrance. Which gives you time to take a short walk to stretch your legs.

I visited the Ziniaré Animal Park once in 2013. And it was an opportunity for me to actually see wild animals that I was used to seeing on TV. It's a great setting for a walk with family, friends and colleagues... Without forgetting the children, because there they learn a lot and thrive! See you next time for another visit

Not to be missed

We had a great time during this Afrotek outing. We visited the rest of the animals that make up the park (Austria, lion, hyena, monkey, goat, turtle, elk, hippos, etc.) but also carried out reforestation in the park and closed with recreational games and barbecue for end our visit.

The rehabilitation of the park will give it another face. We notice that several animals, particularly wild animals, are well maintained but the cost of visits has increased compared to the previous year.
