    Went for dinner tonight and will not go back floors had chips, trash, Silverware in dining area. Table was dirty we were taken to sit at, had to be wiped down and seats and table were left wet. I proceeded to ask for a napkins to dry table and white napkins had dirt from me wiping table. Salt shaker had no lid. When we asked if they had lid they said no! 3 hostess at front were hanging out talking when we walked in and place was filthy definitely need to have every one busy cleaning helping out!.

    Went there last night with family to celebrate my birthday and it was a disaster. I had to hunt for our waitress several times once because my grandchildren were thirsty and had been out of drinks for a while. Our waitress switched out with another waitress I guess because she already had enough tables to care for. Our new waitress told us she was bored so she would be taking care of us. But did not. Our food was good except for the chips. The sweet tea was like drinking a bag of sugar to which my grand kids switched to WATER and my margarita had to be remade.Although they did give me a second margarita for it being my birthday. When we were leaving I needed a to go bag and couldn't find our waitress so I asked one of the other girls who happened to be just sitting there and she said sure and asked someone else to get me a sack. Looks to me like these people need a refresher on customer service. As well as paying attention to what is ordered and what they bring to the table. It was a bad experience for me in my birthday as well as the family I had there with me. It's about a forty minute drive for us both to this location so that made it even worse to drive that long to get such poor service. Be prepared to wait a while to order them another while to get your food. Heck my son in law got full on hot sauce and chips we waited so long. Sorry I wished I would've known better .

    Border-style food and fun at its finest. Great layout, nice patio, and friendly staff. You know what you’re getting at OTB but this location hit on a few details a little better than the rest. Signature queso, quesadillas, and Monterey Chicken fajitas were delicious. The star clearly though was the Smokehouse fajitas. The entire table took turns throwing their fork at the jalapeño sausage, carnitas, brisket, and chipotle ribs. Fantastic! We are leaving fat and happy! Our waitress on the patio was exceptional. Keep up the good work.

    We had a great experience tonight. Zak was our waiter and he did a fabulous job. The customer service was wonderful. Treasure is the new manager and you could see and feel a positive difference in the restaurant. The food was hot and fresh and the drinks were icy cold! We will be back!

    Very disappointed. Visited at 7:10 pm on New Years Day. The hostess with bull nose ring rudely told me we are closing at 8pm so we will not be seating any more. We'll sign on door says open normal hours (10pm). I understand staffing and everything but to turn away business is a fascinating concept. Btw.. no one else was waiting and we were only a party of 3. I wonder if wait staff appreciated not having one more tip for the day.

    Lunch stop with friends. Queso, Chips, salsa & margaritas were divine. Service was good and food was as ordered fresh and good. Our server was very busy no support seemed he had half the restaurant to attend too.

    Ordered the fajitas/steak for one and it was definitely mediocre for the price. It was dry and did not come with as much as the 23 + price tag for added sour cream and guac. Also the servers on a Tuesday night were all white and attituded up. Go to the Mexican Inn across the parking lot instead.

    My husband and I visit On The Border Mexican Grill in Burleson a couple times a month for the chips and salsa (best in the area) and the brisket tacos. The staff is always so friendly and I love the rewards program they have since I go their often.

    Decided to give this OTB a second chance and wish I hadn't. Went on a Monday around 6 p.m., and the restaurant was fairly empty. After waiting 15 minutes, and watching others who arrived after us get their drinks, my fiancé got up to ask the hostess to get our server. By the time the waitress decided to make her way towards our table we changed our minds and went to eat somewhere else where our money is welcomed.

    Ordered on phone, man was nice, and spoke clear. Fast and quick, BUT the food is waaaay smaller than the advertised deals. I would say that it looked as if everything was shrunk 50%, but the food was still pretty outstanding. I rate it a 3 bc everything was literally good until you realize it’s tiny, therefore making the price seem too high. My dad and I ordered to go, but even when I eat here, I get bigger meals it seems. Overall if you like Mexican food, hell, this place ain’t bad, but just be ready for falsely advertised food sizes in your face.

    My husband and I love On the Border! We try to go a few times a month. This past Saturday (8-13-22) we came in around 4:00 and we had the BEST service we have had in a long time. Zac was amazing, we never had to ask for refills or remind him to bring things. He did an excellent job.

    Let me start by saying that the restaurant was not busy and did not appear to be under staffed at the time. It took too long for our food to arrive. Both my boys selected steak fajitas and the meat came out inedible. When they told me, I tried and couldn't break one of the pieces using both hands yet alone trying to bite or chew it. The tortillas were tough like paperboard and stuck together. Had them replaced with chicken fajitas that ended up being fine I'd a bit bland. The rest of the food for the wife and myself was passable but boring. Drinks ran dry and we're not refilled. Slow getting the check, not that I was in a hurry to pay for that food. I only eat here sometimes when getting tires done next door and the last time I thought it was at least average but no longer. Guess I will go to the next restaurant down the road in the future.

    There for 20 minutes with no greeting. Sat at the bar, but first had to clean our own table and still no one greeted us. The only person who even helped us was a busser that we had to ask for menus. We decided to leave and once again nothing was said. Very well managed establishment. Maybe you should take the time to train your staff on great customer service and people would come back. Lost customers!

    Walked in a couple years ago bad service walked in today still same bad service. Waited ho front for 8 minutes and never got seated. Servers were standing around just looking at us. Called the manager Rick and he did not care what so ever. Told me the restaurant is suffering from employee issues understaffed. As that might be the excuse today 2 years ago wasn’t the issue. As we have no issue at any other restaurant. Actually went down the street and was greeted with great management and seated right away.

    Went with my wife, just a party of two. Multiple tables for 2 were open and we were told to wait 15 minutes. After waiting they said they had to sit multiple parties of 6 and 7 before they sat us even though none of these multiple person parties would be utilizing the tables for two. Tried to clarify with the manager and got no where. We've eaten here for over 20 years,but no more underthis management.

    Red haired young lady at the to go counter is extremely rude. This is our third encounter with her with the same service. After we waited at the unattended to go counter for way too long, someone finally asked if we’d been helped. The person then went to go get the to go attendant (lady referenced above) it was another 5 minutes before she arrived. No greeting, stone faced, slammed food in counter and said have a good night in annoyed tone. Super disappointing. Update- 5/4/2022- different person at the to-go counter this time, but was disappointed to see that my meal was a few dollars more for over less than half of the chicken breast size. I understand inflation, but my 6 year old wouldn’t even have been satisfied by the size of the chicken breast.

    Very mediocre at best. In all fairness, they were short staffed but this was not the only reason for the subpar performance. There were NO hosts/hostesses to greet or seat us. We seated ourselves. We waited for a long time for both our drink order and food order to be taken. We had to seek out and ask our server for additional chips and water. As suspected, the food did take a while to get (short staffing issue) but when it was delivered it was barely warm and you could tell that it had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. I believe that once this place gets fully staffed with a good restaurant manager, it will be a good place to eat. Until then, I would recommend skipping it for now.

    We were seated almost immediately, since it was after lunch rush. Our server took 10+ minutes to see us (who actually admittedshe was busy watching "Tiktok"), even though there was maybe 12 other people in the place (6 of them at the Bar). The food was quick and accurate, but a little saltier than I would have liked. We received 1 refill, and then our server disappeared. 20 minutes, and no refills later, I actually had to call the restaurant to get the bill. I could have easily walked out without paying, but I paid and tipped modestly. I didn't mind paying for the food, but I should have billed them for my time and their terrible service. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and the impression I have is that the kitchen staff is not bad, but the wait staff was beyond saving. Management must be lacking to allow this kind of behavior from their wait staff. I will not be returning.

    My family and I went to this OTB last night. We normally order online and pick it to go but we decided to go eat there this time. We regret it. The floors were So dirty and needed to be swept badly. The tables around us were dirty as well. All of the wait staff just kept walking past the tables without looking at them. Towards the end of the night, one person came to clean a table, moved to the next table and left the spray bottle and towel on it and just left. Never came back. Another person came and was trying to sweep but was doing it really fast that it wasn’t good enough. We can just imagine how the kitchen floor looked. We were so ready to go after being there 5 minutes. Our waiter was nice and did a good job. He’s the reason we stayed but we really didn’t like the way the environment looked. Not sure if they had a manager there. It couldn’t have been the way that place looked. We definitely won’t be going back. Honestly, we should’ve just stuck with ordering online.

    Friday night and it was not busy. Wait staff at the front was too busy on their phones and talking in a booth so we stood there waiting for them to acknowledge we were ready to be seated. We then get walked to a table by the door where the food comes in and out, not the best. Stood there and watched/waited for our table to be cleaned which resulted in a half clean table and a thick wetness left behind from the rag and cleaning solution. Our menus were sticky with different kinds of sauces on them, crusted and gross. The food was subpar. The shredded chicken enchilada had a hint of cardboard taste and I got the fish taco (RIP) and it was more so mushy then crispy like I assume should be. The waiter was okay but seemed over worked. Customer service as a whole was extremely poor quality and the food was not good enough to warrant coming back. On the Border used to be quality and good environment but it has gone down hill. We won't be back.

    The chips and salsa were great, the drinks were good and the food was good. It seems they need more bus boys or some kind of help to clear off used tables. There was a large table next to us that needed to be cleared/cleaned. I don't know how long it was like that before we arrived, but it was the same when we left.

    On The Border offers a wonderful atmosphere but, in my opinion, that's about it. The food is on the same playing field as Taco Bell. I only went because my buddy likes it. I'm going to have to decline next time. My stomach can't take it 😩

    My waitress Sarah did a wonderful job on the patio despite the restaurant being understaffed tonight. She was very polite to me and I had a fantastic experience dealing with her. I'll definitely come back again.

    Ordered take out last night and my tacos had maybe 2 bites worth of chicken and toppings in them. Then to make matters worse the complete top part of the tortillas was stale. You can see in my picture the amount of meat they put in and the hard parts at the top of the tortilla. Definitely a disappointment once you make it home and your food is hardly edible or filling all because of poor service.

    Bartender (Liberty was the name on the bill) looked at us 3 times before heading our direction and actually sighed before doing so; that process took 8 minutes. I asked for 2 margaritas and menus. The drinks took another several minutes and came without menus. After another 5 minutes (Bartender was busy chatting with other coworkers in the back) I went to hostess to get menus. 15 minutes later, drinks empty and annoyance full, we asked for our check to go. Came in to eat food and left hungry, amazed, and frustrated. OTB is officially off my list.

    Pulled in to eat during the last hour they were open. No sense that they were in a rush to get us in & out in hurry so they could get cleaned up and closed. Food and drinks were excellent. Kudo's to the chef. The wait staff was very thorough, pleasant and friendly. Checked back with us frequently to assure we we had everything we might need. Wonderful dining out experience.     The 2 stars was because I like on the border. The serve that was received at the to go counter was the worst that I have ever experienced. After waiting a few minutes the young lady came over with a seriously nasty attitude. She said can I help you with the ugliest tone and I still kept my cool. I said that I'm here to pick up a online order and gave her my name. I kid you not She pick up the bag slammed it down and said have a good night as She was walking away. I was taught a smile and a hello don't cost you a thing. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

    Jordan is the best! She was super helpful with her food recommendations - the sour cream sauce was phenomenal! - very attentive to our needs like napkins and refills, and overall just happy and kind. The food was super good and fairly priced and not overly crowded. We'll definitely go back and hope to have Jordan as our server!

    Walked in, lots of dirty tables and floor. Made eating there sketchy. I could have walked out but I didn't. Food was not hot or even warm. Margarita was watered-down. My fault, I should have walked out when I walked in. Will not be back. The server was GOOD and very attentive.

    Well all honesty it had taken an hour and 22 minutes before my son and myself received our order which as far as I'm concerned is way too long. I must say that management at the time he was very polite professional very courteous Way beyond how he should have been and made up for the service that was given to us by our food being late. Other than that everything was fine.

    Had a pretty long wait which really isn’t the best but once we got to our table our server Zach took the best care of me and my girlfriend. He was quick and made sure we had a great dinner, all while he was super busy. Thank you On the Border and thank you Zach. We’ll definitely be back to see you.
