Updated review: 07/13/2023: There's an all-you-can-eat ribs promotion at Shari's on Thursdays $26. But with any AYCE, it needs variety. The ribs were OK but it got tedious after the first plate. It would have been nice if they provided different BBQ sauces to make it less repetitious. Service was excellent. Updated review: 04/01/2022: One of the great things about Shari's is, you can have breakfast for dinner. I had the $15 country fried steak and eggs, +$1 for loaded hash browns. It comes with french toast or pancakes. The food tasted fine. Service was slow as usual. I noticed they raised the price of the Fri-Sat prime rib by +$2. It no longer comes with a soup or salad, instead replaced by a dinner roll. Updated 02/14/2022: Pro tip: At Shari's, you can add an extra beef patty for $3. I believe they are 8oz patties. That is not necessary because I was really full from their single patty burger. My hangover burger $13 was awesome. This is probably one of the best burgers in San Bruno. It came with bacon, crispy hash browns, egg, lettuce, red onions, tomato. I added Swiss cheese +$1 and guacamole $1. Service is usually slow here. But still, this was a very good meal. Updated 02/11/2022: Good times as always at Shari's. We had the 3x 10 oz prime ribs $21 each (Fri-Sun only), cinnamon roll french toast $11 and prime rib dip $13. We didn't order it though, but they have a Valentine's weekend $30 meal for two that comes with pie. At dinner time, the restaurant was full with a short line. I'm thinking it was because of the slow kitchen. Our food took about half an hour to come out. Service was as expected for a full house. Updated 10/20/2021: Heads up, free slice of pie on Wednesdays 4pm-10pm. Service was a little slow. We didn't see our waiter until 15 minutes after we've been seated. The steaks were good though. I was surprised about the free slice of pie on Wednesday 4pm-10pm. We ended up taking it to go because we were so full. Original review: Shari's was not crowded at all at 6:30pm. We had the prime rib (available only after 4pm on Friday and the weekend) and a T-bone steak & eggs. They ran out of the regular steaks. Right after we ordered our prime ribs, it was no longer available as the party behind us tried to order it after seeing our meals. The 10oz prime rib meals come with either a salad or soup and two sides. We picked the baked potato (fully loaded), broccoli, fries (fully loaded) and spinach. It was a lot of food. The prime rib was not bad. It was slow cooked with an herb edge. The T-bone steak was great. Service was excellent and we tipped her 30+%.

This is my favorite spot to come to with my husband. Its open 24 hours and sits on top a hill that has a view of the peninsula. You could also watch the planes fly by. That's my tip for a date night that for all you old souls that enjoy a good diner. The food selection has changed over the years, but still delicious. Love the appetizer sampler, breakfast for dinner, the award winning pies, and my usual the eggs Benedict. I also like the burgers from here too. They used to have this Mediterranean Burger that I loved getting but I dont see it in the menu anymore. Ohh also, did I mention that you can ask for your slice of pie to be blended into a milk shake!?!?!?! Who does that!?!? They do and its bomb! Servers at night are pretty awesome too. We always get the same server Eddie and he's super attentive, nice and works hard. We have not had a bad experience with him as our server.

Enjoyed having breakfast at Shari’s in San Bruno. Clean restaurant and good service. I had their Cinnamon Roll French Toast and it was so yummy, and so filling! You can get it on its own or as a breakfast combo, but it definitely filled me up on its own. The other people in my party had a Meat Lover’s Skillet with Buttermilk Pancakes, a BYO Omelette with Stuffed Hash Browns and French Toast, and the Farmer’s Breakfast Combo - everyone enjoyed their meals.

Friends strongly recommended Shari's, we decided to give it a try as there aren't that many cafes still existing in the Greater Bay Area. We love the setting and view from our window booth. Food is above average. But to our surprise the kitchen is below average because my wife's Belgian waffle contained a small blue piece of carton in her waffle!

Gone here a few times and they've forgotten or mistakenly put the wrong item in every order. However, small fry stuff. Once we told them, they replaced it and were gracious and apologetic. Flavors were good, portions are good. Prices are great! Love the pie slices! We always try 3 or 4 different pies everytime. Will keep going!

Shari's has great Pies. The employees are so nice and very helpfulI. But don't go there for the food. Its an older building that could use a good refresh.

I just came here for workshop on Medicare 101 at 2pm.at this location. Thanks to Sharis In San Bruno . Guest speaker Evelyn explain to small group as you reach 65 age they have enrollment period about type plans on Medicare, I came here a few times for breakfast and always like their menu simple and easy and good staff food comes quick to your table. I have tried several variety of their pies to order for certain Holiday. My favorite, Banana creme & Pecan pie. All the pies looks really scrumptious you just might get tempted pick another to go for later.

I ordered pies for Thanksgiving. Nice people. Fast and efficient. But the pies were not very good. They have been good on the past and that's why I get them here but they changed this year, Ordered 2 pies, pecan and cherry. No one liked them; only a couple of bites were eaten on each plate. Most of them I had to throw away. I did not prepare any other dessert as the pies are usually what my family enjoys. So disappointing.

Cinnamon roll I had didn't taste like one! Key lime pie wasn't as good as some of the rest. **One of myFAV places as *Baker's Square*. (Closed 2008?) When visiting the area, I've tried dining there a couple times since Shari's and the cozy dining area has a damp carpet stench that takes away the dining experience.

The food was definitely above and better than most other restaurants of this type. Service was excellent, especially with our grandkids. The kids really enjoyed their meals and actually ate most of their meals. The pies are amazing! We ordered a whole Key Lime Pie to enjoy at home which was almost totally consumed. Too bad it is only offered seasonally.

Breakfast is great at this place, but dinner is OK. I ordered the steak. It was over cook, even a little bit burn and taste a little bitter. The pies are nice though. I would come here just for pies.

We took our son to dinner before he went back to Okinawa. Gerson and Adan were wonderful...we felt like we were the only ones there. The food was great too, per usual. My only regret is that I didn't get a pie shake to go!

We read good reviews about the food before deciding to dine at this place and did not recieve the same experience as other reviewers none of us enjoyed the food it had no flavor the potato soup was way too watery we pretty much just dropped off 110 dollars for nothing. I did let our server know so he can give the cook feedback I hope he's allowed to do that because we all deserve getting our moneys worth! The server was nice gave us good service. Maybe the day shift cook is better who knows.

Recent visit...service is good but ignored near the end due to more customers. Noise level increased made dinner conversation impossible. Be seated near windows to avoid noise and crashing dishes. At the window, seat toward middle to avoid noisy dish crashing at station. Food is good Chinese chicken salad needs cilantro to be more authentic. See new pictures. Three experiences...one Dine In with the prime rib salad, that is really tasty and the service was excellent in spite of CoVid19. Second time, county closed the Dine In service. We went elsewhere. Third time, we had a supper of chopped steak salad, and my son had the chopped steak dinner, and my wife had grilled salmon. Good service and no surprises. We should have went Wednesday for free slice of pie!

Pretty good patty melt. Fries were crispy also, which is a plus. Nice place that's open relatively late (until 11pm). Pies are amazing as well.

Its been a long time since I've been to a Shari's. Ill be dining in a few times per week. It's a MUCH BETTER place to eat and the food is better quality than Lenny's or Ripoff.H.O.P. Plus their app is easy to sign up for and earn points

Our family comes here every other week for Sunday breakfast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You know when a place is great when the staff and customers know and greet each other by name. The decor is a little outdated and the food is typical of any diner but the people deserve 5 stars for being such hard workers, fast, and friendly despite all the issues going on this world and they make things a little bit better. Thank you!

Completely disappointing experience. Super soggy fries and the smallest french dip sandwich I have ever seen. The sandwich was on the smallest bun and I ate one half of the sandwich in 4 bites. I am not a big person either - a petite middle aged woman. My kids were shocked at how small it was. The meat and au jus were flavorless as well. The dining area is dated and somewhat dirty as well. My family wasn't impressed at the food quality and portions for the prices. You are better going somewhere else. I don't think I would return here ever again.
