I’ve always loved The Library II. I’ve been a customer for over 35 years. My family always loved coming here too. I will not be coming back. Since they were sold to the owners of The Pub, the place has gone downhill. By They now have a very rude manager, and are way, way overpriced! ($10 baked potato, $99 Surf and Turf, etc). They charge 3.5% extra if you use a debit or credit card! … Really?? (By the way, the prices on the menu are higher than what is on their website). We wanted to use a $75 gift card we had from before Covid when they were shutdown for a while. The very rude manager came over and said “out of the kindness of the owner’s heart we can only honor $50 of it”. One positive note is that our server Josh was awesome!, hence, the 2 Star rating.

Okay where should I start, The food was really really good the price was very decent for the quality that I got. We order the tomahawk stick on a special for $135, it was very good and tasty and definitely enough for two people and we had also our son two years old. The desert is amazing and was included in the price I will definitely come back again I had such a great time and it was delicious.

Beautiful ambiance. Absolutely beautiful location and great food. I had the 12oz NY Strip with a baked potato. We enjoyed an appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops ( VERY GOOD ) . My party both had a dessert of chocolate cake and carrot cake 😉 i had another bourbon. Beautiful location, excellent service.

Quaint atmosphere, especially good in the winter with the fireplace. The salad bar had a big variety and was nice to see as not many places seem to do it anymore. The prime rib was really good and also the creme brulee.

The ny strip steak that I ordered was cooked very well but had no flavor. The salad was old and the price for the meal was outrageous!!! Try out Longhorn steakhouse ny strip and compare. I'm sure you will surprised. I was expecting a great experience but this restaurant fell short.

Really interesting concept. Incredible salad bar and wonderful, wonderful steaks and prime rib. Mine was a little overcooked, but we had a large party. The only negative was the desserts Sasha like they had been frozen. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

The food, the service is good but I think that it is overpriced. 8 oz. Filet mignon $44.- it is too much.

This is an old fashion pub it’s dark inside .some people might not like that. I have a happen to love it. It reminds me of The Pub Restaurant at the airport circle. except much more intimate. I was not happy when they started to charge to use your credit cards but then after some months and I see everybody is doing and I don’t like it but anyway, the library does not stand alone with these charges. steaks are consistently high-quality high priced so if you can afford it, it will be worth it. Right now I notice they have a special it’s not always here. It’s a burger and a beer for $17. It’s true I even heard you don’t have to sit in the bar. You can sit at the table and get it that’s what they told me . Now that’s a bargain. It has one of the best “salad bar none !!) a unique way of ordering your steaks. You walk up to a window and there’s a butcher who cuts the steak the way and the size you want. happy hour between 330 and 6 o’clock half-price at the bar All drinks. The restaurant is full of books everywhere that nobody reads lol it’s a great place to go for a date.

Always a great time, meal, and service from the library 2. Tonight we had the $135 32oz tomahawk deal. We love it here.

This was our first time going out to dinner on Thanksgiving and I was super impressed!! The food was amazing - I ordered the Thanksgiving meal (they offer their regular menu too). Our server Katie was so nice and on point. They were slammed with 350(!!!) reservations. Most other places either couldn't accommodate our number or couldn't take our reservation due to being booked up. So, I'm just thankful they were able to squeeze in a reservation for our party of 18 a few days before Thanksgiving! Yum! I'll be back soon! Loved the salad bar too!

It's very nice without being too fancy, if that makes sense. It's romantic, but laid back. Charming. I think its a great place to bring a date to. Books line every wall from floor to ceiling. Dim lighting for ambience. Steaks were FABULOUS and my birthday date with my husband was so MEMORABLE. I highly recommend anyone to visit this place❤️📖🌹

I came here for a birthday dinner with my family. Their salad bar is excellent. I had French Onion soup and their Prime Rib. The soup was somewhat of a let down; the onions were overcooked and way too much bread. The steak was pretty good, although nothing too exceptional. For the prices you would imagine they would box your food but that wasn't the case. I'm not sure what to think of this place. It is expensive and their "IV" location delivered a better experience.

The food, service and atmosphere was very good. Nothing too over to top, not really a bar food or atmosphere, but a step up better. Drinks were very good. Steaks were made perfect. Not crazy about a walk-up salad bar, just my opinion, it demeans the dining experience. Overall a very good experience

Honestly, nothing exceptional about this restaurant. Overall, it was different and an experience but that’s about it. The restaurants concept of a library was cool but the entire time we were there it smelled like old or used (like a thrift store,) which was off putting. The service was good. I appreciated our server, who was knowledgeable and kind. There’s a window where you place your order but you can also place it with your server if you wish to. There was a salad bar as well, which was okay. The steaks were good but nothing mind blowing. The side options were underwhelming. The cheesesteak egg rolls were my favorite and I definitely recommend for a starter. For drinks, my partner ordered a mixed drink that was basically water, which was disappointing. I did order a very pleasant red blend, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Three stars overall.

Let me tell you, this place is spectacular. The meats are always cooked just how I like it. The waiter that we got was especially attentive and kind. He explained everything very nicely whenever I had a question. The service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent but the real star of the restaurant (in my opinion) are the books. The place is teaming with books. It gives you this cost feeling and you can even take a book off the shelf to read it. Lovely restaurant overall. Would definitely recommend.

Our server was nice & very busy. The food was fresh & salad bar was nice. What made me angry was seeing the $23 processing fee on the bill for using credit card, especially when we were paying over $700+ on our bill. The restaurant was full & we felt packed in too tight (nothing to do with covid. but just not much room to move my chair back without hitting another table or chair or be able to walk between tables comfortably. Too crammed in!) I didn't like when a server rolled his eyes as he walked away after I asked him to ask my waiter for something. Sorry if that's not the correct way, but our server was very busy & I was trying to save him an extra trip. We had a nice dinner celebrating mom's birthday. My family told me tonight this is the same owner as The Pub, which I didn't know; I love The Pub & prefer the atmosphere there.

Had a 32oz Tomahawk Steak. The steak was cooked.to perfection. Their Salad Bar was fully stocked, with plenty of options to choose from.

We haven't been in a while but as usual had a great meal. Staff was friendly, food was great. The salad bar ( as usual ) is the best. It's a little bit dark inside but that's probably just because I'm getting old. Prices are what you would probably expect from this kind of a steak house. They do have some more affordable entries ( I had the London broil ) which come with a side and the salad bar which is a great deal. And they have bottles of wine for reasonable prices, although neither of us are connoisseurs.

No surprise....Great salad bar. Went for Sunday special Prime Rib for 2. Very good !! Mine was a perfect rare/partner perfect medium. Well worth the money, both great size/choice 2 sides. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Can't wait to go again.

As always the library II did not disappoint. Service is not a big part of the experience but they are always very pleasant. The salad bar is great. The way you order is simple enough by going up to a window and speaking to the "butcher". While the restaurant in general is on the expensive side I would not say it's overpriced for the quality meat you receive. Side dishes on the other hand are a little bit expensive for what they are. The place is on the dark side but there's not a lot of reason to be able to see as the menu is on the wall at the window and is lit up. If you wish to use the paper menus given to you at your table then I would suggest using a flashlight on your phone. They are now under the same ownership as The Pub. We stopped going there about three years ago because something changed and we consistently had bad food and bad service time and time again. Hopefully that doesn't happen to the Library II. I highly recommend the porterhouse.

We have been here 3 times in the past year or so. The quality of food has degraded and the prices just seem to keep going up. For $25 old fashioned’s that are just “ok” and $100 well-cooked steaks that lack seasoning and flavor, or crab cakes with a few pieces of lump and rest bland filler (ps, Whole Foods has amazing crab cakes you can buy for $6 each and use!) your money is better spent at Chophouse, Caffe Aldo, or even Flemings. Your bill will be less, quality better, and you will leave happy instead of wishing you went somewhere else. Even the salad bar is not what it used to be with food that seems a few days old and wilted lettuce. We will not be going back.

The atmosphere is a neat concept with all the old books, but it's incredibly dark and outdated. Service was fair, but not exceptional. Prices are considerably higher than similar restaurants in the area. I took my mom after her saying she wanted to try their food on several visits. We went for the prime rib special for the evening, $115 for both meals and dessert. Ordered medium rare for both. What came out was past well done, chalky, and completely inedible. We told the server, but that was the end of it. The only halfway decent part of the meal was the salad bar. We were both so disappointed.

Hostesses and Servers were all terrific. Salad bar was kept full repeatedly. The atmosphere, lined with books … while interesting, was packed too close together with open tables. Felt like we were at Grand Central Station. It took about 45 minutes to be served. They were out of two of the steaks (a steak house!). Our two orders of prime rib were mediocre or slightly below mediocre. Very disappointed. Will not go back.

The food was awesome. I did have an issue with my first porterhouse being too well done , but my server returned it and gave me back a wonderful medium rare steak that was delicious. Also the salad bar is great. Prices are on high side but the food is top notch.

The FOOD! The WATER! The ATMOSPHERE! If you had told me my server, a lovely lady named Talia, only knew fine dining and breathing, I wouldn't be surprised because of how good she is. She was SO knowledgeable and helpful, even walked me to the salad bar when I was afraid to go alone as this was my first time at this fine establishment. Talia was the best part of my dining experience. She was so knowledgeable and I can tell she added a little splash of love into my drinks. She offered a great food recommendation as well. Compliments to the chef but even more to my server/bartender Talia. Shout out to the management here for their hiring skills and shout out to the chef for a delectable Lobster Mac n Cheese.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Food was perfectly cooked. I appreciate when a rare steak comes out rare. So often I order rare and it comes medium rare. So that was a plus. Lobster was tender and not over cooked. Bartender made a perfect old fashioned, however I swapped the Makers for Wellers, because that’s my preference. Service could have been a bit better. When I’m paying what I paid here it comes with the expectation of service. Not a “yep” when thanked, not a rushed experience. If I wanted to be treated like I was at a diner, I’d have gone to a diner. When I’m paying fine dining prices, steakhouse prices, I expect steakhouse service. That’s a fault on management. Train your staff better.
