Very nice park and community centre. The outdoor area has lots of activities to do for the young and the old. The 3 table tennis tables are great 👍. Recommended!

This 3 year, 251,000,000.00 project is being put in a family friendly neighborhood, with one 2 lane street. We have a large number of homeless in Burnaby, it would be hard press to find anyone that thinks spending this much money on a Rec Centre is more important than taking the homeless off the streets. With just giving half to the rec centre and half to the homeless it would of made a giant impact. We can't solve the growing homeless problem by building larger rec centres, I wish we could.

This is honestly my favorite gym. The prices are very fair, the staff are nice- even the people who go there are nice. They have lots of problems for people of all ages to enjoy from basketball/tennis lessons to table tennis and badminton. Upstairs is the library with many community events and rooms for use. Oh the summer are day camps, and all throughout the year many types of people use it like toastmasters, Churches, and martial art dojos. There's also a seniors lounge and events for people ages 55+. Sabrina and Justin are the nicest people I have encountered downstairs and I really appreciate their help and support. I used to dread coming to the gym, but now I'm always looking forward to coming.

I went there today and have to go through racism for the very first time in canada. Staff was rude and literally did the racial Discremination. Front counter need to change the staff.

Very poor performing coach for Orange Level -2 tennis (Thursday 5 PM batch) . He is not concentrating on the students and playing on the mobile most of the times. He is teaching level-2 students with red ball which is beyond understandable. Also not completing full 1 hour of session. He is not resolving the questions queries by student also. Moreover there is no one available on phone from Cameron recreation complex to discuss with. Tried multiple time, no one picks up the phone. Waste of coaching charges + tax payers money on the infrastructure. ☹

I came to the gym for a drop in session, I usually train at a private powerlifting gym. I came because it was closer to my work and I was short on time before my night shift. I wore slides as I was only doing accessory work and no heavy lifting. An employee named Pam approached me very hostile and told me I needed I have close toed shoes. I said I did not have any and was unaware of the policy, nobody informed me and there was no obvious signage. She told me I needed to leave and come back with close toed shoes. She was very rude. She did not give me a warning or any courtesy. I told her I would be 20 minutes and then leave. She went and got the manager and had them refund me and make me leave the gym. She was absolutely horrid and I would defer anyone from training with her if possible. Save yourself the stress because she clearly has nothing better to do than find ways to bully or nitpick people around her. Pretty sad and terrible customer service. Policy is one thing but a courtesy warning is more than fair, I was incurring no risk to them and only to myself. Thank you for wasting my time. I will be sure never to come back.

Unprofessional experience with staff - would appreciate at a basic level not seeing 'management' in the front counter scrolling through their phone's instagram while interacting with people registering for the courts. Also, not friendly at all.

Only came here for basketball, it was pretty good experience when there are three teams only, it’s a bit crowded to pac four in 2 hours with just one court. The condition is not bad, not wood flooring but the rubber gives solid grip regardless what shoes you are wearing. That pretty nice. The ball bounced well. And there is a drinking fountain conveniently located inside the court. You could find yourself a spot like three days in advance, comparing with other complex where normally you’d sign up a week ahead. Folks here are nice and friendly.

Have been to Cameron Recreation Complex a handful of times to play squash and tennis. There’s a massive $250M upgrade coming, which keeps on getting delayed, and sadly, the courts have been axed from the plans. Good - Two squash, two tennis and one racquetball court. However, the squash courts are not well kept (the side walls feel like brick walls) - Tennis courts are $25.76/hour - Dedicated cycling studio - Men's locker room has a dry sauna Bad - Archaic booking system (no online booking available for squash/tennis courts). Need to call right at 6:00am to book tennis courts. - Men's shower facilities don't have any soap - The front staff are clueless - Small, cramped gym

I hope the City of Burnaby creates the same badminton courts and lighting system in the new complex (sometime in 2024/2025).

It's more than 40-years old and was designed for a much smaller population base. A redevelopment had been proposed with an expanded library and sports facilities plus a swimming pool.

Complex is good for the services it offers. Can’t wait for the new Rec Centre, but we could use more information about it. Ie. when construction starts, what services are moving to the mall, etc.

I attend cycle classes, (Pedal Power & Weekend Warrior) and the instructors are fantastic and the folks who attend the classes are great! The front administrative staff are very much hit and miss. There are two more seasoned staff who are knowledgeable, smart and have exceptional customer service. The rest are bored, disengaged and lacking customer service skills. I can appreciate it must be a very thankless job; however, as a front desk working for the City, it’s your job to be helpful, competent and friendly.

Do not rely on what the schedule hours indicate, I showed up at 6am for an early morning workout and waited for 20 minutes thinking they might be late or something but no one showed up. Going to get my money back.

Played indoor tennis there. Convenient, accommodating, clean, and the court was in good shape. Only downside is you have to book by phone.

Good place for indoor tennis and other racquet sports. Free parking which is a bonus. Staff was friendly and efficient. Strongly recommended.

Drove my friend there so she could play tennis. Sat on the bench as she likes to get coached. Staff told me to leave because I was not a paying customer. Had to drive around and wait 2 hours, very inconvenient.

😠 I can’t say I would attend this gym, and am currently looking for a new one. I’ve been going to gyms all my life with no complaints, but this location is wildly incompetent. 1. 😠 If you are interested in basic gym membership, it's cheap, fine. They are not upfront about their annual upkeep fee (~$60). While it is on the Terms and Conditions which you need to read and sign off on carefully (which I did) , it is dishonest of them that they do not explain this to you. And this...
