Waves is pretty dope eh! Albeit a more expensive chain coffee joint, I love their grass roots and share the love of the great white north. The joint itself is a great location to grab a coffee and walk round the very beautiful Central Park area. Alternatively, it's a great place to chill in a relaxed, mellow and non-judgmental laid back vibe which seems to be the same across all their branches. I must admit that I also get one of my favorite barista made Soy Cappucinos, always from here with great consistency. The staff are always super friendly, professional and talented at making yummy drinks. We also got a Waves-sized Roobois Canadiano which is awesome and one of the only places that will properly brew high quality loose leaf tea. My only complaint is that as a chain, and the fact their sizes are smaller than others; that paying an extra 90 cents per drink for even a dash of plant-based milk is a bit of a rip really. Stay Canada proud!

Nice and cozy atmosphere location with a good and fresh collection of bakery products. Sometimes it’s crowded and surprisingly not loud, most of the people comes here to study with their books and laptops. Great customer service and definitely high recommend if you want to have a cup of coffee with a book to read this will be the place for you.

This is the Kingsway waves branch. I am giving this one 5 stars because of the good and friendly service. It’s smaller than waves downtown Vancouver and the location is not great as downtown one. Still I love it because of the customer service. Still the coffee taste and the Christmas eggnog and lattes are the best taste in Vancouver.

Good place to study with lots of open space, lots of plugs. Friendly staffs, especially Hank. We become frequents here because of him 🥰🥰 Best place around this area if you’re looking to study

I love iced latte at this location. The gradient color from the milk to the coffee layer is beautiful. Also, it is not watery at all. And the vibe here is great. It gets crowded mostly but it is quiet. I enjoyed reading a book here. I will visit again :)

Chill spot with lots of seats and decent decaf. Lots of people studying/working here as well, so it's a nice place to concentrate and get some work done!

The taste is good but I really want to complain about the cups.I don’t know whether is the staff‘s poor technique or really the quality problem. The lid just never fit tightly！Last time was the hot chocolate that spilled all over my jacket and this time the cold drink happens again！Please just consider about this problem and fix it! The hot chocolate and lemon loaf were delicious. Kind employees. Vegan food options are available. This cafe is really comfortable for studying since the interior design and quiet space.

I have been here multiple times, always had a good time. Coffee, tea, bakery items all are good.

Good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating at this location, lots of light, and a full menu offered at this Waves location. Nearby to Patterson skytrain station, Metrotown, and Central Park, it’s a very convenient location to go and grab a coffee with a friend or date. On street parking only.

I tried their Vegetarian Samosa and Nanaimo Bar. The samosa was okay, Nanaimo Bar was better. Lots of seating inside, lots of street parking around and in a very good location.

It’s a nice location with plenty of street parking available nearby. My favourite go to drinks are : milk hot chocolate and dark hot chocolate. (Apart from their regular coffee) They have a lot of dessert options available as well.

Would give zero stars if I could as I could not get into the store to buy a coffee. Sign in the window and info on the website states that they open at 8 am on a Saturday. It is 9 am (on a Saturday) and the staff arrived shortly before I wrote this.......left the door locked .......and are still setting up.....I totally understand things happen staff run late or dont show up but maybe a note on the door letting the public know when you intend to open might be appropriate. As it were, without any communication or any certainty on if ...or when they would open I had to leave empty handed as I did not have time to wait indefinitely. Took my business to Starbucks down the street instead. Being that Waves is more expensive it saved me a little money also. Not the best way to start the morning.

Great place and atmosphere. Great place to meet people with friendly staff. Great variety of baked goodies and a great variety of beverages. Just a heads up, it is a small location and is busy most of the time. Must go location.

One of the staff requires some fixing to his customer service technique. When a customer asked for a question of whether Waves has a specific tea, please don't give a 1 word answer - "No". Please kindly provide some simple info to the customers when we are looking for info. It is interesting to see that we almost feel like we need to beg them to sell us the drinks there. We are not expecting bespoke service, but it is a simple manner with respectful customer service that will make your customer to come back.

My dark Belgian mocha was alright. The drink tasted powdery, rather than being creamy and rich. Will give the place another try. There was a small selection of muffins and breakfast wraps. Service was quick. There’s lots of indoor and patio seating available at this location, with free wifi. Free Parking on street!

Great place to relax and work, I just wished that they could lower down the music volume. Otherwise, it's a good cafe.

Good coffee shop. Hot chocolate is good but not spectacular. In terms of pricing, it is very comparable with some of the products in Starbucks.

Waves cafe on Kingsway is a great place to work and drink coffee. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, making it a perfect place to change up your environment and get some work done while still being able to socialize. The staff is friendly and the coffee is always great.

Cozy little shop with plenty of seating, a decent menu, and in a convenient location. The place tends to be filthy though. Tumbleweeds of hairballs, flies, stained / broken seats, marked floors, cobwebs, etc. It can feel gross at times.

Friendly service. Good coffee and cakes. However, the internet is so slow, and free parking is hard to find. Meter is 2 dollars per hour, and don't park under ground or you would end up having your window broken into (as this is Metrotown area, homeless and thieves are always around preying ....)

I’m a regular ice tea customer here and always order their organic tea iced. Today when I went, the cashier insist on I can’t get the tea iced when I have ordered them iced many times previously. Will not come back

A man, sitting in front of me, has been coughing for over two hours. Why would he come to a coffee shop? Stay home!!! And don't the people in the store pay attention to him? Please make an effort to keep the coffee shop hygienic.

Super slow place for coffee. Definitely not a location worth going for unless you have 10 to 15 minutes to wait for your coffee. The service levels are nothing close to what any other coffee shop has. The workers look defeated and not motivated to work. If you walk in and a line of 3 or more are there waiting, better top off your parking meter with lots of time. Only thing that got this place 2 stars was that the coffee is good
