Absolutely hands down one of my favourite places! Watching the sunset is INCREDIBLE from here (pictures don't do it justice), just wonderful! So beautiful and lovely and such an amazing view of the city. Awesome gravel path walkways through a hilly park with views. Totem poles and beautiful mountain views. AND a beautiful Rose Garden that smells like heaven!

A truly unique park with great views away from the city and also trails (ups and downs). There are monuments and a garden to also check out here.

Gorgeous views from this park! It was beautiful for our visit with the rolling fog and the brief periods of sun. Some walking trails (short) take you around the park with varying elevation. A parking lot ensures that people who just want to pop by for the view or who may have accessibility requirements can still enjoy this spot. The poles are very interesting and are Ainu in origin (not First Nations). This is a cool spot to compare pole style and to appreciate this cross-cultural tradition.

After a long day at work, this is a great spot for a picnic. This is one of the top spots to go after work in the evening. Get some food and drinks and head down to Burnaby Mountain for a great time. Set up your picnic in the shade or in the sun, as desired. While you wait for the sunset, take a stroll in the lovely garden and race through the winds on the swings. As the time approaches for sunset, return to your place and enjoy a tasty bite to eat and a refreshing beverage while admiring the breathtaking views of the mountains, water, city, and, of course, the sunset. As the sun sets behind the mountains and the gorgeous horizon emerges, the sunset appears to be something out of a movie. Enjoy your time here because it will be one of the most peaceful places in British Columbia.

This place is so dear to my heart, that I have been there for more than 10 times. You hear many people rave about the sunset and rose garden. The view of inlet and Vancouver. Have you ever went during Christmas season and see the holiday lights and walk under them. Have you ever celebrated your birthday on the hilltop and got your face full of ice-cream. Have you seen the stars that shine at night after watching the sunset? If not, go there and experience it yourself. You will not be disappointed.

An absolutely beautiful place to visit. The park is located almost on top of a large hill, just west of the Simon Fraser University. It is a must-visit for anyone living in the Metro Vancouver region or someone who is visiting Vancouver from other parts of the province. There are bathrooms, a flower garden, a playground, grassy areas for picnics and recreational activities, benches, and trails. There is a catering restaurant as well but is currently closed. The totem poles from the Ainu people adds a very nice touch to the beautiful view of Vancouver and beyond (there is a sign saying do not climb on the poles, especially the one that has a slope to it). I suggest bringing a camera to capture these moments, especially during sunset or sunrise. Parking is fair, sometimes you may need to do a few driving rounds before finding a spot. Be careful when backing up as traffic can get quite busy. Unfortunately, it is not accessible by transit directly so if taking a bus you may need to do some walking through trails. Definitely recommend coming here if anyone wants to enjoy some time in nature or want to capture beautiful views of Vancouver

It is a very wonderful place. Spread across a very large area and interesting thing is you can view the Vancouver city from this place. It’s surrounded by amazing water bodies and mountains. The combination of water , mountain is very surreal. People usually go here with their loved ones and it’s really a great place for picnic

This spot has really nice view. 🌟 Parking spots are available & that too free of cost. 🌟🌟🌟 Some huge wooden art can be visible with weapon style along with bear 🐻 & eagle 🦅 are the main attractions of this park. ✅ Washrooms are available on the entrance of the park. 👆 Some arts with gardening & roses 🌹 are available to click pictures. 📷 Nice eating tables for picnic are equipped in the shadows of trees. 🙌 Rope climber in the centre is for adventurous activities. 💪 Overall lovely spot to create memories with family. 👍

You don’t have to travel too far to get nice city view, just come to Burnaby mountain park, you will be able to see Vancouver downtown, north Vancouver, Burnaby and new west all together. A lot of people come up here to sea the sunset as well, but better come earlier so you would be able to get a nice parking spot where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in your car!

Didn’t get a chance to explore the park, but it’s a wonderful location for watching the sun set. I visited on Saturday early evening and it was packed with people enjoying each other’s company and watching the sun set. There were plenty of cars parked in the lot and off on the side of the road. Definitely would venture back another day to explore around. Park closes at 10 pm. Edit: Visited again on a week day and there were fewer people around. Got to try out the Velodrome Trail, walk around the Playground of the Gods, and see the beautiful view of the city and waters below. Definitely recommend visiting and exploring around. When weather gets warmer, this park looks to be a great place to have a picnic as well.

Got a great panoramic view of the city, kinda sorta. It's overlooking the ocean on one side which is awesome but it's too steep at times as well, which might be an issue with some seniors. Great place to come for an evening walk or a short picnic with family. Got tons of play area for kids so they can be busy. Got some trails going through the forest, we did some but couldn't finish the loop. If you're up for a grind and burn the extra calories you consumed during the weekend, then you can come here during the week and burn it all with the loop trail.

Breathtaking views of the 🏙️ city. We enjoyed the Fall colours plus the beautiful views. This is a park that you can enjoy in any season. It has snow covered slopes for kids to enjoy. It is a huge park with loads of picnic areas and instagram worthy photography. The parking lot is huge but on a sunny weekend it is jam packed and you might have to park on the streets. Must visit if you are around the area. Very accessible park in the middle of the city. One of my favourite parks in Burnaby

Good place with several trails, some are over 1000feet elevation, or just have a casual walk in the park. There’s a rose garden which is blooming now, a good venue for wedding ceremony. It’s also a good place to watch aurora at night at certain time. Easy parking.

Burnaby Mountain offers one of the most majestic viewing spots in Vancouver. Beautiful Gardens. Free car parking. Washrooms. Great spot for picnic & family BBQ gatherings. Dog friendly area. Definitely worth a visit.

Burnaby Mountain Park and its interconnected trails offers some of the best views (and sledding, apparently, though weather dependent) of the city, without the need to travel across a bridge to the north shore. Just be aware this place is incredibly popular with kids and their parents, to the point the parking lot is almost always at capacity. A secondary, lesser known parking lot below the primary one usually should have parking spots available, though be advised the city now bars entry to the park after hours.

Good park to hangout with your family and do some picnic under the tree, then go for a walk and enjoy the scenery of the mountain and the lake. Dog friendly with leash. They have a small playground for kids too. Washroom is available near paking area. Parking is limited like 50-60 cars. It get busy in sunny warm days.

Going to the park with on a sunny day, enjoying the nature, exploring the wood structures here. On the one side of the park, you can see the nature view (water/mountain/forest), and on the other side, you can kinda see a city skyline view, which can give a richer visual experience. Moreover, there is a variety of facilities in this park. Kid zone, BBQ/picnic area, art installation, kid zones, rose garden, big parking lot. This can be a good park for you to spend a day with your family and friends. or If you are students from SFU, this must be the spot for you to take your grad photos.

I love Burnaby Mountain Park since I moved to Metro Vancouver. The park is close to Simon Fraser University. From the top of Burnaby Mountain Park, you can see the beautiful Vancouver Downtown city view, the Lions Gate Bridge, the North Shore and Belcarra. Once I met a couple who have lived nearby more than 40 years and like to hike in the park almost every week. They have witnessed the development of these cities around the mountain. They showed me their house and shared their love stories as well.

Beautiful views. Easy access. Lots of gardens. Nice trails. “Roof of Burnaby” with Panasonic views of Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, and more. You have to visit this place! There are picnic tables available but you can also bring your own chairs and watch the sunset. The city closes the parking at 10:00pm (not sure why), but the main entrance apparently remains open. There is also a full service restaurant here!

Great place for a picnic after a long day at work. This is one of the best places to visit in the evening after work. Grab some food, drinks and head down to Burnaby mountain as it will be a wonderful time. Set up your picnic in the shade or the sun , which ever you prefer. Have a walk around the beautiful garden as you wait for the sunset and race through the winds on the swings. As time is coming till sunset, get back to your spot and have a nice bite to eat and a beverage to wash down the food while you watch the beautiful views of the mountains, water, city and of course the sunset. The sunset seems like nothing less than a movie scene as it slowly falls behind the mountains and the beautiful horizon is seen. Enjoy the time here as it will be one of the best peaceful moments in BC.

Beautiful well-maintained garden with spectacular views of the city and sunset. The grass is well maintained on the slopes. There is a rose gardens with several varieties of roses always blooming. Love to walk around the park with my kids with moderate hikes. There are play areas around the park where my kids love to play. I also love the fact that there a lot of benches where you can lie down and enjoy the city views and sunset. People love to get their picnic mats and throws during cold sunny days and lie down on the slopes to enjoy viewing the sunset. Parking can be busy during peak times on weekends. But they have additional parking outside the parking lot on side of road inside the park.
