Burnaby Lake Regional Park - Glencarin Trail Entrance

😠 Worst hike I've ever done. There is no lake. The vegetation has grown so much that you do not see a lake. Also, we saw 2 snakes on the trail. There were a few bikers on the road which made it the road very dusty. You can hear the cars from the highway so it is hard to relax. Overall, it was not a jo...

Dog friendly trails along the lake. My dog like it better than Deer Lake trails. Not that crowded especially better during covid time. There are areas for dogs to enjoy a good run and interact with other dogs. Nice gravel roads parallel with the railway. pleasant view of peaks of north shore mountains. Well shaded with trees and bushes alongside even in hot summer. Perfect trails with or without dogs.

Saw 2 snakes within the first 5 minutes of our hike here. Tons of bugs and, where we started, way too much noise from the highway nearby. Probably the first time I'm giving a natural place a low rating.

Good entrance, but currently (early January 2022) the road is under construction and is quite flooded. Be ready for delays and make sure your car is ready.

I've lived in the area for almost 2 years and this was my first time going here. It's absolutely amazing, the Trans Canada Trail is like a forest, its really good for mountain biking, lots of easy to medium climbs and descents, and an incredible view of Burnaby lake

Nice trail for the family! A great place to run as well but be warned there aren't many exits so you may have to run the whole 10k!

Stunning! Paradise! And you'd never know it was there unless you're aware of it.

It can be a bit swampy on this side. Otherwise it's a pretty nice trail.

On a hot day this was an enjoyable trek. Nice and cool under the canopy. Not overly crowded. Not alot of parking and a sign warned us that car break-ins have occurred.

You can walk around 2 hours in a 10km loop trail. Cute ducks everywhere. Nice views.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Easy walking trails through the natural lakeside setting. Plenty of signage about the wildlife, birds, and (invasive) plant species. You can walk a loop trail around the entire lake. The paths are well-maintained - some sections are boardwalks, others are concrete. Numerous families with strollers a...

😐 Nice ride. It is possible to ride up to the campus from Forest Grove Park avoiding Gaglardi Way. There are trails through the Park that connects with the TransMountain trail. Follow the trail up under the powerlines near the Kwekwecnewtxw (Coast Salish Watch House). It is a little overgrown at the...

πŸ‘ You can either reach the entrance of the trail from behind the Harry Jerome Sports Centre (bottom going up) or from Burnaby Mountain Park (top going down). Burnaby Mountain Park has more parking available than the narrow road leading up to the parking near Harry Jerome Sports Centre. It is quite a t...
