Hiel Cafe truly delivers an exceptional culinary experience, particularly with their soufflé pancakes, which undeniably stand out as the best in town. Although the menu leans towards the pricier side, the impeccable quality, generous portions, and exquisite taste make every penny worthwhile. After years of passing by, I finally had the pleasure of trying this gem. The brunch waffles were a highlight, boasting superb texture and flavor. The smoky sausage exceeded expectations, adding an excellent savory touch to the meal. The waffles, overall, were simply delicious. To complement the experience, the hot yuzu honey tea proved to be a refreshing and satisfying choice, fulfilling exactly what my palate craved. Upon my friend's recommendation, the Einspanner, is supposed to be one of the best coffees in town (have to try next time). Hiel Cafe is undeniably a culinary haven, and I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to indulge in its delectable offerings.

Try their Hiel Latte and the Smoked Salmon sandwich. It’s actually really good. Fills you up, delicious, and good visuals. The customer service really good too and they have a nice, soothing atmosphere. If I was a New Westminster local, I’d definitely be a regular here. Hands down better than any other Lougheed Korean cafes. It’s a hidden gem cafe!

We came here when we hear about the souflee pancakes. Best ones we have had outside of Japan. They were huge, fluffy, and delicious. My London fog was one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were helpful and good communicators (the pancakes take time to make - which we were prepared for). I definitely recommend - and will be back!

Unexpectedly delicious! The place is sort of weird, a big space with odd decoration and vibes. But the food doesn’t let you down, the coffee is also excellent. Great option for lunch if you’re in the area. The salad dressing is superb (considering I didn’t even know the panini would come with a salad, thumbs up here)! Great service as well.

Loved this place! Very spacious with simple yet nice decor. They serve jiggly souffle pancakes that are massive! But they do take time (25min) to prepare so order as soon as you arrive!

Love to be in the afternoon with a cup of coffee. Comfortable place, delicious meals and drinks. They have various menu for drinks and meals. They will serve you warmed sandwiches on tray if you order it. Not noisy music inside of shop, it was a kind of healing music and it made me cozy.

We didn’t want to go to the opposite Tim Horton and decided to go here to try something different, and it seems like we made a good decision. Coffee we ordered was strong and hot. Bakery items looked fluffy and fresh too. We ordered Cheese cake and they served it with whipped cream and my wife and I loved it. Nice warm environment, not too shabby Christmas decorations and a lot of tables to sit and probably have some work time. I think it is a good spot for Univ. students to get their assignments done here. It wasn’t loud here and just lovely environment. Hosts are Koreans and just like any other Koreans, they are humble, kind, and respectful. Love it!

Another cafe that's gonna be in my favorite list. Their fluffy & wiggly Creme Brulee Souffle Pancake was big and yummy which can be shared between 2-3 people (if you're not a big eater) IMO. It was not too sweet or bland. I ordered their Salmon Poke without the rice. It was also yummy but I feel like it was pricey for the serving size (but worth it). When you dine in, they give you a pager which vibrates when your order is ready. We are now planning on trying to taste the rest of their Souffle Pancake.

Easily the best souffle pancakes ever! We chose the “crème brûlée” ones and they were just delicious. We also ordered an Oreo waffle and a panini, both great and tasty. Regarding the place and service, both were excellent. Hiel Cafe is a nicely decorated, very clean and pleasant cafe that provides really good customer service. Completely worth visiting!

Absolutely loved their soufflé pancakes they were absolutely delicious. The cafe was nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend. Btw if you intend to order the pancakes you’ll have to wait for 30 minutes.(definitely worth the wait) Would highly recommend😊😊

Fantastic cafe, we had so much fun. It was very mellow and memorable. Very good combination of avocado salad, with truffle oil and lemon juice. Their food is delicious, not too sweet, not too salty. Just right. I'd highly recommend this place for your future visits. Definitely worth every penny.

Amazing coffee and sandwiches! I found out them on Uber eats one day while ago. I ordered prawn and smoke salmon sandwich, morning croissant and latte. It was great. So I decided to visit them in person when I had craving for good coffee. Not only good coffee, also great service, reasonable price. :) Definitely my new favourite coffee spot!

Superb service and amazing food! Second time ordering via Uber. Had some trouble trying to add an item so I contacted them directly. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Walked me through different ways to get my order sorted out and was friendly throughout the conversation. The portions for the poke bowls are very generous. Sandwich tastes great and well-made (not sloppy). Souffle pancakes are delicious. Not overly sweet. Thumbs up! 👍

The decor and ambience of this place is super cute, the food is in the same style as well. Their items aren’t super special, but the presentation is really nice and the ingredients that they use for their dishes make a really good combo. I’ve had better soufflé pancakes in other cities, but theirs are definitely one of the best in the Vancouver area. Would recommend.

Great atmosperic cafeteria for the breakfast or brunch. Soft music plays during your stay. Good drinks, dessert menu and dishes. Cream Brulee Souffle deserves separate 5 stars and definitely must have to try🤤 Such a gem in New Westminster, strongly recommend!👍

Awesome place to get some food and drinks at Hiel Cafe. They've got a decent amount of options and their staff are really friendly. Their brunch waffle was really good. Comes with a breakfast sausage, eggs, waffles and a salad. The breakfast sausage had so much flavor and had a good amount of fried bits to it. Definitely worth trying. The tomato and avocado salad turned out fairly refreshing as well. Other items we tried was one of their chocolate cake. Really good too as the cake itself was moist with the icing not too sweet. The matcha souffle pancakes was another item and this was really fun to eat. Very delicate and soft pancakes topped with matcha and we also added oreo cookie crumbles. Again, not too sweet and very delicious. Awesome place and will come again!

Lovely experience. Highlights include the fluffier pancake you ever had and possibly ever will as well as a croissant fench toast served with fruit and whipped cream; a mix made in heaven. The waffle breakfast image includes two egg add on :) Coffee was good and includes some specialty seasonal offerings. Going back!

I tried the soufflé pancakes here and it’s legit amazing. The breakfast items are all good too! I like how friendly the service is and casual the cafe is. I’ve frequent here a few times for lunches and brunch and it never disappoints my sweet and savoury tooth

We loved it. The salmon poke bowl was amazing. Super fresh veggies and the salmon was sushi grade quality. We also shared one of the iced desserts. It was next level incredible... Almost guilt free 😏

A quiet place with soft music and a cozy feel. Not a lot of dishes, but those that have are quite well put together, and their coffee is awesome. Had an egg and spinach panini (they accommodated no cheese) and offered almond milk for my flat white, which was really creamy! You do hear some traffic from the street outside, but nothing that's the establishment'fault. Recommend!!

Very delicious pancakes, different kind of fluff and the topping is amazing taste. Good amount of food for the price you get and it's a great cafe. Only thing is kinda warm as it seems like no AC

Very cute cafe. We really enjoyed the souffle pancake and raspberry tart we ordered. The souffle pancakes take time to make though so keep that in mind when you order. It's totally worth it, very airy and fluffy! They don't skimp on the cream either. The raspberry tart was very fresh and not overly sweet. We also ordered an Americano and mocha frappe; also really yummy and prices weren't bad at all. There is limited space inside, so if it's quite busy, it can be quite a wait. We went on a Saturday morning for brunch and it wasn't too bad (less than 30 mins for the souffle pancake and we received everything else before that) but we have come here before when there was an event at the highschool and it was like an hour+ wait (for food, drinks, seats). Parking lot is only half hour maximum but I'm not sure how strict they are.

Food tasted great and the food presentation is stunning. Generous portion size and cozy environment for catch ups! You must try out their soufflé pancakes, the best one I have ever had! They are so fluffy and jiggly 😋

A lovely Cafe in New West! A spacious place with adequate seating and a calming atmosphere. Ordered a prosciutto panini that came with a salad on the side (great tasting dressing) and an Irish latte. The servers/cashier were kind :). Will be coming back to try their souffle pancakes

We tried The souffle pancake, it was so good, very fluffy and good flavour, not sweet, just on point. You'll have to wait about 25 mins, but its worth it, in the meantime you can try the capuccino as we did, it was good too. Music is nice, a little too high for my taste, but nothing terrible. I wsnt to go back and try the other pancake flavours and waffles. Last call is 4:30 pm.

Cute cozy little Cafe situated in the busy corner intersection. Parking can be found underground or next to the stadium track and walk over. The food is consistently flavorful and scrumptious. The souffle pancake is a must try. Order ahead as it takes 25 minutes to make! Next favorite is the prawn + smoke salmon sandwich(not pictured) I was in the mood to try something new today. Overall a neighborhood gem!

I loved this place ! The pancakes were delicious. Wait times were about 25 mins for then to be made though. But they do warn you about that. The coffee and iced mocha was amazing ! And the pancake was big enough to share! Very doughy Parking was not great. It’s only 30mins and very limited around the back. They also unfortunately forgot my friends orange juice she paid for. And service was alright. Overall it was delicious and the restaurant/cafe was clean and had great music! Will come again

Love the souffle pancakes here! Irish cream latte is great too. We got the prawn and smoked salmon sandwich as well. The sandwich was pretty good, but lacked a bit of seasoning.
