Medical clinic Medical center

😠 Reception is nice and that's basically where it ends. On two separate occasions they had me waiting over an hour passed my schedule appointment with zero communication on what was happening. Way to make your clients feel forgotten. People often mention clinic, time, doctor, appointment, family, patient, rude, patients, waiting, told,

I agree with the most people's comment. The front desk seriously needs to improve their customer service! There is a girl and she is rude on the phone;she is rude when you are talking to her. She is impatient and she is not polite. I never return because who wants to be treated like garbage!

I used to have phone-in consultations with Dr Chen n other drs for my blood works, prescription meds etc last year; so I called for days last week to try meds replenishment! Repeatedly called 30+times to finally get someone who then told me Mango terminated its walk-in operation n all the doctors I consulted no longer worked there! Shameless indeed that the clinic didn't bother to inform its affected patients on the closure; shameful indeed the phone never got answered n messages left on clinic website never answered. Unethical: a medical operation that concerns only with money making; patients r their ATMs!!

Dr. Wang is so attentive and makes sure she addresses all of your concerns. I was pleasantly surprised, given how busy walk in clinics are, she wasn't trying to rush me at all. I even had multiple questions and she took the time to make sure she answered them all. She displayed even more care than a family doctor. Very happy with this clinic!

I wanted to put 0 star because they deserve it. They say walk-in are welcome, but it means you should wait for everrrr, more than three hours in waiting room. After that you should wait 1 hour in the doctor room until he comes. Such a painnn. If you want to lose your entire day just for visiting a doctor here is the good place to be. Rude assistant that doesn’t care about you and your time at all are pretending to help you are siting behind the front desk. Never try this place if you respect yourself

Negligent staff and doctors. I went there with my tonsils at the size of an olive. I told the doctor that couldn't swallow because of the pain and I had tonsils stones on it. She said she didn't see any evidence to give antibiotics and gave me an anti-inflammatory. First day: The pain reduced. Second day: Became even worst compared to the day I went there. I called them and the same doctor said I could be going there she won't prescribe me anything else. Third day: I had to go to the hospital and they removed the infection with a syringe directly from my tonsils. Do not waste your time on this place. Maybe they will give you Advil in case you're dying.

Bad experience with a young doctor Dr. Sally Ke. She' the only doctor refused to give me refill for a medicine I've taking for years. I asked the reason and she just walked away, very rude.

Doctors are not interested in the condition of your health they just want to get rid of you as soon as possible. When I came to see the doctor and identified all of my health related problems the answer was "I do not know what to do". The other time when I asked about my referral to the specialist they said "You can write a letter to government if you are concerned about the waiting time".

(Translated by Google) Receptionist (the lady with glasses and dark eyebrow) is really terrible and rude, they made a mistake on my profile, I ask them to correct it, but this lady was unhappy and told me it’s make no difference! The foreign girl wearing glasses with thick eyebrows at the front desk is really bad. It seems that I owe her money. I really don't recommend it. (Original) Receptionist (the lady with glasses and dark eyebrow) is really terrible and rude, they made a mistake on my profile, I ask them to correct it, but this lady was unhappy and told me it’s make no difference! 前台戴眼镜浓眉毛的外国妹子态度实在太差了,好像我欠了她钱,真心不推荐去。

!!!!!! Zero stars for the receptionist!!!!!! Done filling out the forms before my appointment. The receptionist still calls me and asks the details for the forms. Also some serious privacy concern as well. She put me on hold while I was in the virtual waiting room, then talked to other patients. I can hear the whole conversation. Other than the receptionist, Dr. Chen is very nice. The best doctor I’ve ever met in Vancouver. I’ve seen so many doctors in these years but never made one my family doctor because they are always rushing. Dr. Chen is very patient and caring. Not rushing at all. The best consulting experience I’ve ever had!

The receptionists are horrible! I had a telephone consultation around noon yesterday and was told that my prescription will be sent directly to the pharmacy. Called the pharmacy roughly an hour after my appointment to see if my prescription was ready. Was told they never received anything, called the clinic and was told that they were having issues with their system and that they'll re-send. Well it's the next day and both the pharmacist and myself are trying to call the clinic to see where my prescription is to no avail. Thankfully my condition isn't urgent but if it was I'd probably be in the hospital before I get my prescription at this rate.

I have been to this clinic 5 times in the course of the last few months due to health issues. Since I do not have a regular physician, I have been scheduled to see 3 separate physicians at this clinic. All 3 physicians have been exceptional to deal with, very attentiveness and informative on my ailments and direction of care. I would be very pleased having either one of them as my regular physicians. Dr. Ka, Dr. Chen, and the 3rd. I don't recall his name.

Dr. Chen is the worst physician I've ever spoken to. She does not listen to the patient and forced me to get expensive testings when I clearly mentioned many times that I've already done my tests and all I need is a doctor's note for me to get treatments. I ended up explaining over and over again my conditions and wasted so much time. You need to hire a better physician that has better listening skills. I don't understand how you could call this a "profession" when you can't even handle a simple request. Do not go there.

Zero stars. Do not have doctors on call at the site. We had a 6 month old that had high temperature and no one was on site despite this place being called a "Walk-in Clinic". We are forced to go to the hospital where they checked our 6 month old and did a PCR test (which came back negative). But in the end the whole family ended up getting covid from the hospital visit. I mean what is the point of vaccinating doctors if they cannot see patients in person. The doctors have lost their raison d'etre. And this location should throw their name "walk-in clinic" away as this is clearly a misrepresentation.

It's a short 2 minute walk from the Metrotown SkyTrain station. Dr. Leo Yue Dai is actually ranked in the top 20s out of the 1500+ Doctors in Vancouver on ratemds, and is very knowledgeable and patient. Even though their seperate family practice location is full, you can still get the expertise of their doctors at this walk-in clinic.

Small but clean walk-in clinic. It might be because a patient brought a lot of family members to the clinic when I went, but there were limited seats and I had to stand for about 20-25 minutes as I waited for my turn. Loved the fact that you could book an appointment online to lower your wait time, especially since they prioritize appointments over walk-ins. Dr. Kan saw me and he was very kind! I can see why everyone thought the receptionists were rude, but honestly I think they just have too much to do so they come off strong or rude. The two receptionists were frantically typing any time the phone wasn't ringing or they weren't speaking to a patient. Maybe a third receptionist/medical office assistant would help lower the workload in a back office so that the workers at the front will actually have time to cater to patients...

Pros - Walk in clinic where you can book your appt’s online. Easy to get prescriptions for birth control and recurring medication. Doctors do try their best to help once you get time with them. Cons - Doctors are horribly late to their booked online appt’s. Booked two to three online appt’s with them now, but they call at least an hour later. I understand people getting busy in acute care but primary care should be different. If I could get a family doctor, I would but it’s exceptionally difficult to get even for a nurse working in this city. I had also recently gotten my annual swabs done, but due to improper labelling and storage, the laboratory was unable to analyze my specimens. Mistakes happen, but my overall experience with Mango Medical has been less than average. I hope this review can be used to improve the services at the clinic.

Walked in to this walk in clinic and was told they only do telephone visits. My issue cannot be addressed over the phone. If I needed a telehealth experience I'd use the app already on my phone for a same day appointment with a remote physician. The link on their website to book an appointment has been removed entirely. How do they make money? And why even have an office? J-Von Medical down the street is doing the same telehealth-only thing. How am I supposed to get medical attention in my neighborhood? Edit: upon further consideration, I am no longer mystified by the profitability of this policy. I'm also not convinced that this new policy is about covid safety, given how far into the pandemic we are now, and especially given that restrictions are becoming increasingly relaxed everywhere else with widespread vaccination. No, I think this is a response to a different government mandate: the one that made it easier for physicians to bill for telemedicine. I suspect these walk in clinics realized they could essentially double bill in-person visits by requiring a superfluous tele-consult first. If true then it's a waste of time for patients and a waste of money for the province.

I was able to make a walk-in appointment online the night before, and then walked in at 10am the following morning and was seen right away. The doctor was professional and helpful. I was an out of province patient with an Ontario health card and the clinic was able to bill my Ontario plan directly (I didn't have to pay out of pocket). Overall great experience!

I normally don't do this usually but let me tell why I feel obligated to write this, we as family have 2 years almost locked ourselves in quarantine cause we have one kid and I became mother and have a baby 6 months ago, we been going out to the park avoiding people all the time but i tought my baby got too much wind the last visit and then 5 days ago my baby have 39° of temperature the night before so we went to this clinic cause we were mislead by the review on that still a walk in clinic, according to the 811 line a doctor could check our baby to see him we just needed him to check the baby signs but the receptionist (a lady ) was rough and tell us no we can't we just asked cause we didn't wanted to go to the hospital too much people sick were there and we were afraid of covid, even when we insisted she said that we should go to the hospital even tough my baby was looking fine on his 39° of temp. So we were forced to go to the hospital full of patients 😒 took us 3 hours and sitting right on front of a lady who was coffing ... and then a doctor saw my baby to say that he looked fine it was his first infection nothing to worry about it was nothing related to covid, we were relieve but not for long the next day my other daughter started with temperature and then suddenly everybody in this family started to feel sick we lasted like 4 days in awful conditions and today in the morning I made my covid test wich ended up being positive ... unbelievable 2 years many test negatives in the past and one day cause a lady didn't wanted to make us a little appointment with a doctor for a non covid situation for my baby ended up in this situation that my Hole family ended up sick for almost a week in the worst condition... is overly upsetting I feel so disappointed in their system, unbelievable that a place that they suppose to care about health send us directly to the worst place were everybody was injured or ill ... very bad service if we can call that a service!!

I found this place at 3:30pm & I called to see how many patients were waiting & told the receptionist that I would be coming before 4pm which was the closing time. Well I got there at 3:40pm & was told the Dr. Is done for the day and is seeing her last patient. She confirmed that I would not be seen. It was an urgent case to report a WCB incident. Not very professional

The worst place you can go when you are sick! This is a review based on my family experience in last 4 years being patient of this clinic (we had too stay because finding family dr is a pain in Canada) After one year waiting in wishlist they assigned a practitioner as our family dr That in 3-4 years she just visited us 3 times before and after covid She was mostly on vacation And recently she is retired without sending any email or notifying her patients! Receptionists are so rude and never answered properly on the phone, they think they are dr or boss, barely answer patient, always talk to their girl/boyfriends on the phone, lines are always busy! Always had to wait long time in office even when you have appointment! When she was visiting us, she just tried to find the answer in internet, zero knowledge of being a dr They don’t care you are sick or not! Responsibilities zero! Thank you Canada!

My family doctor is awesome! But the clinic needs to hire more professional and friendly staff, a girl named Judy is the worst. I saw her chitchat with one of the newer female doctor behind the front desk about a patient while the patient is about to leave. Super unprofessional and no ethics! If I could see it, the patient probably felt it too! Really unprofessional! This should be a respectful place for everyone. Judy is known for arrogant and bad attitude. However, this is just beyond what I can image. If they could chitchat about patient while Patient has not left yet..What would they said while patients are not there?

Wait time is reasonable and service is OK but don't expect you can reach them to follow up for CT Scan / X-ray schedule in other facilities. Their phone system is always jammed, and they can put you aside for at least half an hour and end up forget to resume your call No voice mail can be taken They don't have an e-mail address provide for the public to reach even they have 3 clinics across burnaby, so basically you'll never reach them follow up things........

I was impressed. Dr. Jimmy Huynh is a very responsible and kind physician. He calls you even after his work hours to deliver a message to his patient. The only drawback is that I contact the doctor through the walk-in clinic so, need to be aware that there could be a delay of an hour from the scheduled time.

I’ve never had such poor experience at a doctors office. I requested an appointment for my fiancé months ago and they said that they would follow up with a phone call and never did. I had to explain my conditions over rather than the front desk pulling up my file. The doctors gave me an assessment and told me there was nothing wrong when clearly there was. Do not go here. You’ll be returning with the same problems and being neglected constantly.

Pippin O’Neill is the best there is. Kind and compassionate and listens whole heartedly. My partner and I love her!! Can’t say the same about the receptionists tho. When I called today she laughed condescendingly and made a snide comment when I asked for something (which btw I was correct about). I get its busy and can be stressful, but patients are not going there for fun times and giggles, they can be in distress as well and have anxiety etc. kindness goes a long way.

Extremely kind and caring staff. It used to be a bit difficult booking an appointment with practicioners that aren't on their online booking system as their phone system doesn't seem to let you queue up and you have to keep calling until you get lucky. However, they've recently switched their online portal which makes it 1000% better.

Why is NP Pippen O'Neil not listed to book online????...she is the best at this location, I had to have another doctor once while Pippen was away and she was horrible. Most NP's know more than GP's!!!. And the reception/Admin are the worst I have ever experienced. They mess up and lost lab results, don't forward the lab requests from Pippen and I have to a week later and ask for them, and it goes on. Reading all the reviews this is the main complaint, so what is being done about the or do you like your 2.5 star rating...seriously get it together!
