The doctor that we visit is good. Our doctor is patient, attentive, and answers all of our questions adequately as well as providing good advice. The reason for a 1 star review is due to the extremely poor client service that we received from the receptionist. The older lady receptionist is generally never friendly, but during our most recent visit, the level of service given by her was so awful that it compelled me to leave this 1 star review. I hope that this clinic either gets new receptionists or at least train the existing ones to actually show a bit more care to the patients.

I wish I could give them a zero. Reception staff are extremely rude and sometimes they do not have sufficient English to communicate clearly about appointment times and procedures. Multiple times they have given me the wrong date or time for my appointment and or confused me with another family member. Dr.Amy Huang is never on time -- even before the pandemic, wait time would range between 40 mins to more than an hour. Dr.Zhang is a whole another level of a mess. Complaint filed. If you are not Chinese or do not speak Cantonese or Mandarin, this place and the doctors will not provide you with proper care.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service!!!! Wonder where to send complaints to that can close down this place. The lady at front desk is extremely rude and should be fired. We had a phone appointment, the phone rang and when I picked it, they immediately hang up. When I called back, they said they need to charge me to call again. They show no sympathy to patient and just want to earn money. Terrible terrible service, please just go to another clinic, you will receive way more respect than this place. If anyone know where we can send complaints to, please let us know.

It’s been five or six years and the front desk is still as if its parents came to work before the first seven days, or maybe there are no parents at all.

WOW Service at the reception desk -10 Rude, unprofessional attendants. Have no understanding of what a medical situation is or how to deal with an emergency request. Not willing to help. I’m thinking they don’t know how to read a medical form. It’s very sad to see the quality of service offered by a medical clinic. From other reviews I see the clinic finds this to be acceptable as the dr don’t make changes. What a disappointment.

If it was possible to give a negative score, I would do that. My visit with the receptionist, Dr. Gu, and Dr. Zhang was very unpleasant. Both doctors behaved in an arrogant and impatient way. Dr. Zhang, specifically, continually cut me off before I could finish speaking. Also, her tone was angry and dismissive. The receptionist then acted like we were indebted to her.

Dr Gu is honestly the worst family doctor in Metro Vancouver, this guy has no professionalism and does not care at all about his patients. Avoid this place like a plague.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Do not use them. The receptionist was extremely rude. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, she said there’s nobody here and that if I came in to speak to someone in person, she would call security. I would give them a 0 star if I could. Never use them!!!

Absolute worst service especially the receptionists. Not friendly, not professional and quite incompetent. They do not communicate to the patients that the doctor was not able to make a call and literally make you call them an hour later only to find out your appointment got pushed. If I could give -10 stars I would.

Worst experience of my life. The doctor was very unprofessional and dismissive. Seemed very rushed and offered terrible advice. Never coming here again. Would rate negative stars if possible.

This clinic is so bad! I wish I could give my real ranking: negative and scandalous. The medical staff there are rude, arrogant, irresponsible, greedy, and do not care about patients at all. Ms. Wu, I don't care if you have a medical school graduation certificate on the wall, you don't deserve the title of "Doctor" because you don't understand what "caring" means. You are too full of yourself. You would rather leave a senior patient in pain, make no effort to help, and then refuse to transfer the patient to other doctors who offered to help, just for your ridiculous ego. Nevertheless, every time we made an appointment, you got paid by MSP, which is our taxpayers' money, for offering no help at all. What a shame, "Dr." Wu!

Dr. Gu is the worst doctor I ever met, absolutely cold and unprofessional. When I came to see him after taking a leave of absence from my job and a ~45 minutes drive, he rejected me immediately saying "am not his patient anymore due to not seeing him too long". But 1) if you don't want to see me why not reject at the booking time? 2) even I am a stranger, as a doctor, will you treat a patient like this? In the end I asked him to suggest a clinic, he replied "you can search online". If that's case why am here to see you? Like other people said: avoid him like a plague!

My family doctor Amy is great. One star is for the male receptionist ( I would give him zero star if I can). There is an error on my prescription. I ask to see if he can book me as soon as possible or ask the doctor to call me when she can. But he refused to do that book my appointment 3 weeks late. I told him it’s urgent. I was upset and told him he is not helpful. He then threatened me to cancel my appointment and hanged up my call. I call again and the girl receptionist answer she then said she only can move my appointment two weeks after. If you don’t enjoy your work then you should working on this field. What a unpleasant experience. Thinking about that if it’s his family member has problem. Would he be not so helpful. I would consider leaving my family doctor because this male receptionist.

The staff is generally quick and pleasant over the phone and in-person while the wait time can range from 15 min to 1 hr with appointment. Paperwork for referrals and special requests are done with info relayed back at a timely manner. Appointments with particular doctors depends on their set working days, posted on the monthly calendar at the reception area. Areas and the many rooms are clean and roomy; especially for seniors or with disabilities. As a patient of Dr. Lee, I transferred to this location when he relocated here. At times that he is unavailable, the other doctors are slightly more abrupt but still attentive to give care. Underground parking is rather snug, while there's metered street parking in front and on the side street.

Went to this place twice to see Doc. Yu. She is so nice, professional, and care about her patients. This 5 star is to her, not to the whole clinic coz I don't know other staff in this clinic.

My appointment was scheduled at 5 pm, but the doctor called on 4:30, which caused a miss call. So strange and unprofessional. They even thought it was my responsibility, and claimed that they would charge a fine if two missed calls.

at 11:30 this morning, the Receptionist is terrible with a non professional manner, she refused to tell you who you are speaking to, she said bye bye is her name, very bad personal attitude, she shouldn't be representing this clinic at all.!!!

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I received during my recent visit to North American Medical Centre. The receptionist displayed a warm and efficient demeanor that made a significant difference in my overall experience.

I’ve been their patient for almost five years now, most part very convenient, reasonable wait time, staff are helpful and doctors are caring and professional. This place is definitely not perfect but overall a pretty good choice.

Indeed the worst clinic. I don’t want to mention anything before. The last time I made an appointment for a checkup, the front desk was only responsible for forwarding the email to me. Regarding the hospital’s instructions to the doctor, I had questions and wanted to ask the front desk. They refused to explain or even wanted to ask. Open the file and take a look. That's enough.

bright and clean office, the girls work at the front desk are very helpful and caring. My mom's out of medicine, they fit her in even don't take walk in patients

Just last Wednesday, January 17th, the day of a rare heavy snowfall in Vancouver, I had an appointment with Dr. Amy Huang. I thought it would snow so hard, schools would be closed, some shops would not open, and most of the employees would be closed. The day doctors choose to work from home, they will definitely choose to work from home too. But Dr. Amy Huang braved heavy snow and traffic difficulties and took the Skytrain to show up at the clinic. There are also two front desks there. I am sincerely moved and admired by their professionalism that is not afraid of the difficult journey and putting patients first! I want to say: Thank you sincerely🙏 for your hard work💦

This is the worst Clinic I have met, especially Dr Zhang, she has no patience at all, whatever the question you ask, she just yells at you, never solves the problem, and cancels the appointment with me at the very last minute. Also for the test or check report, the clinic will never follow up with you even if there are issues on the report, extremely unresponsible, DONT this clinic!!!!!!!! North American Medical is the worst clinic I have ever encountered, especially the female doctor named Zhang. She has a very bad attitude. Every time I ask a question, she gets scolded in all kinds of ways, but she can't solve the problem. In the past, the baby was still young and sick. I looked for her, but she sent us away within 5 minutes. I looked for her to finish the examination. If I had any questions in time, she would not take the initiative to contact you, and would cancel the appointment an hour before the appointment, just because I didn't want to go to the clinic. . This is the worst doctor and clinic I have ever encountered, don't come here!
