I have bought Hasegawa cutting board (48” x 17”) at this store for around $700. I know the board is demn expensive. I expected it’s good but when I tried it for a couple of hours, it’s turned out to be not usable in commercial kitchen. The cutting board surface is like sand paper. Whatever I put and cut on the surface, its residue stays on the surface. The residue can not be removed with wet cloth no matter how hard I try. Next day I called pure range and they do not want refund it since it is used. Probably I will contact local health authority to see if this kind of cutting board can be used at a comercial place. As far as I know it is impossible to use it due to cross contamination. For the time being, I use this cutting board as follows. 1. Use it for a couple of hours with wipings. The board becomes ugly with various residues on the surface. 2. Then move this board to sink and clean with warm soapy water. 3. Dry the board in dry rack for an hour. 4. Sanitize it and use it again. I am suspicious that this board is not intended to be used as general cutting board. This must be used only as a presentation board, something like sashimi cutting, nigiri cutting or completing dishes. Otherwise, it is so hard to maintain in a commercial kitchen and costs a lot of labour hours for cleaning. I wish the sales persons at this store was honest about this fact and let me know about it before I bought it. It never happened. Do not complain anything at this store! If you do, beware that one of the sales men is s good at teasing you and making you an idiot. That hurts more than the money you wasted.

Beyond great. These guys will go above and beyond to fix your equipments. I was dealing with Simon over the phone and he was very helpful. within an hour Michael showed up. I had a problem in my ventless hood system that no one in Vancouver was able to assist. As soon as Michael came, he was able to diagnose the malfunction and they ordered the piece for me right away. I will only be dealing with Purerange going forward. They provide an excellent service.

We visited 3 dealers in town and finally picked the folks at PureRange food equipment. Compared to other places, they are very knowledgeable. We like the fact they do not sell cheap equipment as this is our first restaurant and want to do it right. This is a company that knows their product, as they explained in detail the difference between different models and brands. Now, both my husband and I are not technical by any means so at times it was a little overwhelming, but it sure gave us a lot of confidence. Just before opening we had to have an inspection. Wes at PureRange always told us to test the equipment at least a few days before the inspection. Of course our construction was delayed, and this simply was not possible. We tested the equipment a few hours before the inspection and there was a problem with one of the coolers. We called Wes, and literally after getting off the phone an hour later their tech came. That's service for you! Could not believe how quickly Jason their tech came. Turned out it was a minor problem. We passed the inspection and everything else went smoothly. They are knowledgable, friendly, the best service and of course great prices! Thank you PureRange.

Bit of an emergency as over the weekend as our 2 door cooler went down. A friend of ours recommended this company. Glen came by to deliver a brand new True cooler on Saturday evening. Plugged it in couple hours after he left but the cooler was DOA. I guess these things happen. Called Glen and said he would look after it. He and Jason the tech came by late at night and fixed the cooler. They said sometimes it happens even with new coolers and that True company will look after us for the next 3 years. Told us not to worry as they are solid refrigerators. Great company with fantastic service! Need to buy my friend a case of beer for recommending them!

I have deal with Simon for at least 9 years now and there is never a disappointment. The service is provide is 100% and if he can't help he will direct me to someone else that know. I have been to many equipments places since I'm in the restaurant business some are good most are bad the way he run his business are honest and real. At the end of the day I don't want headaches back to him for equipments and honestly.

As a restaurateur I’ve known these guys over a decade. From consultation, selling, shipping and installing, these guys are unbeatable in terms of pricing and qualities. However, what makes them outstanding is not just those but, services AFTERWARDS. Who would often visit your restaurants to eat and make sure everything is working well? Who would offer free dust cleaning to your dirty fridge compressor after spending dollars at your places? Do you have anyone who can come solve your sudden trouble on the same day? You may find a cheaper price elsewhere, and if you actually do that’s still only on the surface because those are made in the Asian continent, as oppose to American or Japanese made that these guys carry! I don’t want to make my writing look as if I were paid to do so but seriously I really want to share my experience with all the other industry brothers and sisters here. You can count to Simon and his team!

We found out about PureRange from friends who own another restaurant in Los Angeles. They showed us a Kosei Infrared grill they had gotten from a company in Vancouver. They were extremely happy with the price and even more impressed with the service and follow up - one of the owners even dropped by when he was in town. PureRange is definitely 'cutting edge' in the industry as they have equipment we've never seen before in the North American market. Some of it is truly amazing. We're really thrilled with our new Sushi Case as it doubles as cold storage when the restaurant is closed, saving us time and money. The staff is really helpful and they go out of their way to make things easy. Would highly recommend them for any upgrade or new restaurant project!

We have a coffee shop in vancouver, and one of our freezers went down over a weekend.   Of course it always happens after hours or on the weekend.  lol. This freezer was probably fixed 3 times just this year, and decided no more! Called a couple of places in town but of course they are closed.   Called Purerange Food Equipment and someone actually picked up!   Long story short Michael came by himself and delivered our new True T-49F.   He was great, and actually showed us how to clean the condensing coils every 4 months.  Took away our old crappy no name freezer our ex manager bought only 3 years ago.  Overall we are very happy with our new freezer and the service that Purerange provided.  Would buy from them again and recommend them to anyone looking for commercial equipment.

PureRange is one of the best dealers in town. They are pretty much the only dealer that has a service side. The entire team here is very practical and knowledgeable about the equipment they sell. They know what equipment is reliable and what is not. They recommend the best quality equipment for your business.
