A bit surprised by the low stars. I needed a dr for a cold and was travelling soon. Did a walk-in, which btw, so few clinics now allow and was told it'd be 30-45 mins and asked if that was ok. I agreed and she politely asked me to sit. In less than 10 mins I was called in to see Dr. Rezvani who was short for words however got the job done. He was polite and professional. On my way out the receptionist wished me a good day. I'll be back there again for me and my family!

Just happened to stumble upon this clinic's review page and I am quite shocked at the low reviews. I've been coming to this clinic for years as a walk-in patient and I've also booked appointments with all 3 doctors that they have here. Yes, it's hard to see the doctors at times and wait times do get long with Dr. Lloyd-Jones but it's worth it as he is a caring doctor, and pays attention to your needs. I've also see Dr. Rezvani and he is a smart, efficient doctor, and is very knowledgeable in his expertise. His visits might be quick (understandable, because he is a very busy doctor!) but he gives as much information as possible, and is always caring. Not every doctor can give you what you need and it's understandable, especially with walk-in clinics, but my experience and my family's have always been good.

So they are a lot better post covid 😂 on time (early sometimes) and able to book and be seen in reasonable time. The doc here is super popular so you may need to book and come back hours later or even yes, next day. Worth the wait. And one of the best in Burnaby so far that I’ve found. The majority of other clinics in Burnaby act like they are in the business of sending you away 😆 ————————- So. Personal experience. According to the staff at dental side (they share the same reception area of the clinic) this medical place does not actually open at 10 am like the google info says. And staff actually show up for work around like 10:30 am and the doctors don’t arrive until like 11 am. This would of been helpful as I waited 3 hours at home (7 am) to come here. Vs going to the ER. It would of been nice to know they don’t open til so late. I could of been in and out of the ER by now as typical is only 3-4 hours. According to dental. They have no control over the google description of their operating hours.

Receptionist was very nice and helpful. Dr. Lloyd Jones is rude, condescending and should retire since he's so old and practically deaf but refuses to wear a hearing aid. Told me he was writing me a prescription for one thing, got something totally different at the pharmacy so went back. He basically called me a liar when I told him what he told me what he was prescribing. Useless. Rude. Avoid. Update. "Dr." Lloyd-Jones died. Maybe the clinic is better now 👩‍🏭

While I was on travel last week, my wife took our child to High Gate Medical Clinic in Burnaby, where Dr. Verma happened to be the doctor at the time. Dr. Verma was nice and took the time to properly check our child, however, he was looking very inappropriately at my wife and was asking about her age and commenting on how young she is. Half the time, he kept looking and staring down at her chest while speaking to her and she was very uncomfortable and the whole situation felt very creepy. I'm shocked and saddened a doctor would do such a thing...very disrespectful and misuse of trust. We're considering filing a complaint. I don't advise young ladies to visit this doctor on their own and hope the owners of HighGate Medical Clinic have a chat with this doctor about this!

This is NOT a walk in clinic or assistance. By the way, if you present yourself directly at the reception, you are treated like an intruder, like a beggar asking for money for drugs.

This clinic is the worst clinic I've ever been to. They can't keep a dr on staff but will take you in as a patient without telling you the dr will not be there for much longer. You can book an appointment but if it's a walk in day they put walk ins before you. Terrible clinic, would recommend any others in the area.

Dr Rezvani is very great, I had very good experience with him, very professional, calm and friendly doctor, helped with my back pain. will see him again. It is very hard to find doctor in this area to see you soon

To my dismay, I called the clinic this morning asking to book an appointment with my GP and come to find out that Dr. Philip Lloyd-Jones passed away on August 4. I was in complete and utter shock, and sobbed uncontrollably to the sympathetic MOA. Why wasn’t I notified by the owner of the clinic of his recent passing? Why wasn’t any of his patients? That’s standard protocol and the decent thing to do. Dr. Lloyd-Jones was a fixture in my life for over 20 years. He was a good man with an admirable bedside manner and a dry British sense of humour. Half the time you couldn’t make out what he was saying, but it was still funny nonetheless. He had a pragmatic approach to healthcare. I would come in with my various health issues and in a matter of minutes he would relieve my anxieties. Granted, he caused some of it, as he was known for being notoriously late. That’s because he would take the time to listen to each and everyone of his patients—an important part of the cure. Dr. Lloyd-Jones, you and your Monty Python jokes will be sorely missed. You left a positive and indelible mark in my life and the healthcare system as a whole. What gives me solace is knowing that our last conversation was filled with great laughter and levity. I gave you your “flowers” while you were still alive. I give Highgate Medical Clinic 1 star for their callousness towards the handling (or lack thereof) of his passing and not informing his patients in a timely manner. To have to call and be caught off guard is NOT okay. Hearing the news of his death might be triggering for some. It was for me given that my mother died six weeks ago. Do better!

The medical side was horrid. The doctor refused to check the things I came in for, denied to do the full check up that I made the appointment for and forgot to write my prescription that I had just told him about. I had to remind him and he was clearly not interested in writing one when it was simply just for an inhaler. I would not recommend them at all. They just wanted to push me out as soon as I spoke with the doctor.

Staff do not answer the phone. I called everyday for three days straight almost every hour and got no answer. Each day I left a voicemail and did not get any call back. Today I finally got a hold of someone and she was very rude on call. Told me they are very busy and understaff. Even if busy, they should be checking their voicemails everyday! If you want good service, do not come here. You are better off at any other clinic.

Please if you need to see a walk in doctor don't go here for walking except on Tuesday as the doctor on Thursday Friday and Saturday is so slow you be waiting a long time with only two people in front of you

They won't even answer there phone, I called at 12 noon today called untill 3pm about six times. So I go to walk in and they refused me saying they are understaffed which is understandable, but there staff is to lazy to answer a phone a give an update to there patients...i called after I told the receptionist, just because your understaffed doesn't mean you can't answer the phone and do your job....guess who answered LOL...would not recommend the place I've had wait time issues before but this was my worest experience with them.

Horrible clinic! I actually don't think I've ever been to such an awful clinic!. Not only did I have to wait over an hour to see a doctor but the doctor who did see me did absolutely nothing! I just found out I'm pregnant and he did not take any of my vitals yet the sign on their door says they deal with prenatal care?! I've now had to book another appointment with a different doctor to actually have everything looked at correctly! they're extremely disorganized when it comes to booking appointments and that's why their wait times are as long as they are and there when and only doctor that I saw is about 110 Ridiculous and I'm Beyond annoyed I wasted my time...also they make it mandatory for you to wear a mask but their doctor doesn't wear a mask! and quit frankly after reading all these reviews this clinic shouldn't even exist it should be closed down! UPDATE... Just realized this doctor didn't even fill out the blood work paper work incorrectly, not even my correct name! Didn't ask for my personal health care number!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

There is never a best clinic. Too much complaints everywhere and anywhere. But Still tons of loyal patients are loving this place!!!

Useless. I told the walk in doctor what meds I was on and if it would interact with the antibiotics he put me on. He said no, but after bad side effects and a quick google search, they were VERY easily proven wrong. I wish my GP wasnt on vacation so I could have avoided this clinic. Side note: Dr. Philip Lloyd-Jones was one of the reasons I hated this clinic in the first place. Man kept saying racist things about Indian people and Muslim people, which I know he had gotten complaints about before.

Dr. Rezvani is empathetic, informative, and kind. He is my go-to Doctor as I do not have a family one.

Looks like a very busy clinic. The staff are very professional and friendly. They doctors are very caring specially with kids. They explain everything in a simple way and don't try to push you doing what you don't need. It's very hard to find a high quality standard and trustworthy dentists like this. My family doctor is Dr. Salman Ali and he is amazing excellent doctor.

I came for my pain on my lower back and just for fill a form they charge $25..... so now double pain, my back and my pocket to. Terrible service they only take care of your money and everything in cash.

Wow, worst doctors ever we have been here twice and this is the last time. First time my mom came in she got dizzy and the same doctor told her to go home and call an ambulance, "are you kidding me". Second time they gave my mom antibiotics with out even looking at her or touching her. They were hiding behind a curtain. How pathetic.

I wish I could give this place 1 star because I had an appointment for3:00pm only to be served at 4:15pm yet they did not even say sorry for their delay

Horrible incompetence! We made an appointment at 2 pm and get called in 1 hour later? We always show up early to appointments. Please don't come here unless you are ok with wasting your time with the worst workers in the industry!

Terrible service. Took 20 min to get the lady to find my appointment and when i wasnt 150% thankful for the lousy service the doctor tried to refund me and shoo me out the door. Dont even know why these clincs are aloud to be open. Beware

3 weeks to get test results. They didn´t answer the phone for a full week, didn´t reply to my voicemails. Finally got my test results today but not before being harassed by police and put on handcuffs, they could have given me my test results instead of calling the police as that was the only reason I was there in the first place. Very unprofessional, not enough employees to cover the basic service that should be provided.

I’m not a big fan for dental visit but today I’m glad I came. Lily, the hygienist, not only did a very good job on the cleansing, but also provided important education on the daily care and treatment. The docs are knowledgeable. The front desk ladies are very nice and welcoming too. Kudos to the whole team!

The lady that answered my call was able to get me an appointment within an hour. Dr. Rezvani was polite and helpful and my prescriptions were faxed to my usual pharmacy so i can just pick it up on my way home!

Dr Rizvani is nice doctor . Whom that making appointment do not reply the call contact by telephone is very defecult by long wating no body reply .

Tried off and on for 3 hours (seriously) and the phone just kept ringing, I cannot believe in that time period no one was able to pick up the phone.

Hours posted on Google is incorrect. On another note, I saw Dr. Rezvani for my injured ankle. He was very kind, and is an incredibly intelligible doctor. I'm glad I was able to see him as a walk-in patient, because my doctor was fully booked at the time. I had a great experience with Dr. Rezvani.

The staff at this clinic are nice until you have a legitimate concern with how they operate and you call them on their unprofessional and disrespectful approach! My daughter was seen by Dr. Carlson for her sever allergy that literally has limited her daily function in Early March 2022. Dr. Carlson who is our family GP for 30 years presumably referred her to a specialist at the time. As we did not hear anything from the specialist, I finally called Dr. Lou’s office inquired about an appointment. Turned out the clinic never sent a referral to them! When l called the receptionist at High Gate clinic requesting an answer for their mess up, no one was willing to take the initiative to look into it. She repeatedly just offered me another appointment for my daughter to re- start the whole process. I was given a telephone appointment for my daughter finally for yesterday which she had to get time off work to attend to. However, dr. Carlson never called her, after all. I don’t think he was even informed as he is responsible physician. We are would never seek help from this clinic ever again! Being unprofessional is one thing, but being rude and passive aggressive just because you are in the position of power is unacceptable! Morgan

Dr Kazem Rezvani is a superstar doctor. I am 82 years old and seen many doctors in my life, but he is really very good one that I have seen in last 5 years, his staff are also really nice and respectful. Any words that Dr Rezvani tells you shows that he is very smart, highly knowledgeable, well-trained doctor and it comes from a person who has long time huge medical Experience. I have never seen caring, polite and very patient doctor like him in my life. He really really helped me several times for my complex health issues I am struggling with that. My daughter who also taking care of me and comes with me several times was so happy with his professionalism, bed side manner, medial approach and behavior and care. God bless him, and we need good doctor like him.

Dr Kazem i met him once it was ok I told my problem he helped me it was very short time less than 7 minutes i was also in rush everything went well, but the second time he had security I don't know what i did wrong in the first meeting, I'm suprised did he afraid of me? I was looking down I didn't even tell my other sickness I had 3 different pain I only told him one pain just to please him make things smooth anyway he gave me what I wanted, but I can't figured out why he needed security, until now I'm thinking too much.
