Busy location, ample parking, convenient for grabbing items on the way home. some staff deserve recognition like, for example, Stefan, who is a top-notch employee who is super helpful and kind and always says hi! Save on foods please acknowledge him he deserves it!

Used to be a store with good customer service, clean and reasonably priced. Now it's extremely overpriced but you also loose the customer service etc. Horrible deli where hot chicken,wedges etc were once plentiful is now usually empty and if there is chicken, wedges etc they are cold hard and gross. They literally couldn't even keep their self checkouts maintained. They accepted cash but I guess that was too hard for staff to keep on top of so instead of maintenance they simply turned off that ability. Considering what Save-On stores USED to be like, this store is truly a pathetic embarrassment of an operation.

I went to save on on kings way on July 1 Canada day 2022. I went maybe around 3 pm. Sophie was working at customer service she was so rude. I never met such bad customer service. I couldn’t even finish my sentence she would cut me off and snap at me. All I asked was can I put my ….. I was gonna ask my phone number for self serve for the save on points didn’t let me finished my sentence and yelled so snarky no u can’t put ur number. I called her out that she didn’t have to be rude it’s a question. She also was rude to a customer before me as well actually 2 others to be honest. Like I have never been talked to that way before for asking a question I couldn’t even finish. If she is so miserable get a new occupation

This is the absolute worst grocery store I have been to. Very poor selection and underperforming staff. I was looking for a common shelf item and checked the location where it is in every single other grocery store. Not there. The 1st person I asked had no idea where it was. He went (reluctantly) to ask supervisor who said MAYBE it’s in 2 places. I checked both locations and no luck. I continued to search the grocery store in every other possible location and found it but it was out of stock. The person at the till didn’t even ask me the question that they ask jn every single other grocery store: whether I had trouble finding anything. Normally I still say yes even if I couldn’t but I was so annoyed at the poor attempt at helping me today that I would have actually said no had she asked.

Main Save-On for the area. Luckily the line are almost never long and they have a little Starbucks in there if needed. 6 self serving casheirs and a lottery distribution center. Big parking lot and it's close to a Shoppers Drung Mart in case you can't find your medicine in their limited pharmacy.

Stop selling expired products!! I have seen now both fish and chicken products expired on the shelf 3 separate times now. You’re going to make people sick! This photo was taken at 8:30pm yesterday, the day it was expired. The time stamp is at the top of the picture for proof.

Maria at Customer Service is excellent! My expectations were exceeded this morning when I went to sort out an issue with my rewards points. Maria greets everyone who walks in the store with a friendly and cheerful good morning. Despite the multi-tasking nature of her job and dealing with a sick staff member, Maria took the time to systematically solve the problem with my points card. It was not a straight-forward issue and Maria demonstrated outstanding problem-solving skills and efficiency. Her consistently positive approach was very appreciated. Thank you for going above and beyond, Maria. You make our family want to shop at Save-On more!

I had Jimmy as my cashier on Weds night, he's amazing. He knows where everything is and he's very helpful. He even saved me money by knowing pudding was on sale even though the sale price wasn't flagged on the shelves. Great attention to detail.

Looking at their prices and comparing to real Canadian super store or walmart, I don't know who in their right mind named them SAVE on foods lol its a standard grocery store nothing special, but I feel proces are higher compared to competitors. I only shop here if it's on my way to home and I don't have time to go put of way to pick up 1 or 2 essential grocery items I need

To management: Sale signs are taken off, quite early and its RATHER INCONVENIENT to ask the cashier "for a price check in every item being purchased" Just to VERIFY if they are on sale. **If the store closes at 10pm, Do u think it would make sense to pull out Sale signs, at least 2 hours before closing rather than at 3pm, when customers are still shopping & the store doesn't close till 10pm?

Lovely and helpful employees! but the worst prices of any grocery store I've visited, and a bafflingly useless points system. I avoid this place whenever possible.

I wanted to buy a strawberry shortcake, it’s inaccessible as it’s placed in the showcase. And there was no one at the bakery to help me. I waited for around 5-10 min before one lady slowly walked into the bakery section without greeting me. Finally I got the cake I wanted, but consequently I missed the bus !!!!! So not good service

Not the brightest staff. SOF has raised the price of a 2L carton of miĺk 6x since Jan 2022, including when the deposit came into effect! You can't get any deli meat cut after a certain time because there's no one behind the counter. The same goes for the meat department. Bagged apples very small and always have bad ones as well as go bad fast.

There’s a guy in customer service I believe his name is Jimmy, he’s the most patient and kind staff I’ve encounter at this branch. Overall a great shopping experience

Pleasant and helpful pharmacy staff. I was able to get a prescription for a minor ailment without having to visit my GP.

Bad meat literally 1 in 4 is bad. Make sure u double check best before dates. Lack of staff to properly rotate stock. Dairy Always has expired goods sitting front and center. Always have to watch scanned items for higher than sale price. Always a fight with 'lack of store policy' staff. They don't know their own policies. Especially for 'scanning code of practice.' Rude cashier ladies the old day shift ones that look like they smoke a pack a day. Good note. The pharmacy is outstanding. Very nice staff never busy. Recommend the pharmacy. I don't know why I keep giving the store another chance. Nothing changes. More headache then what it is worth.

This place is like 4-5 mins away from my apartment, just wanna let you know there is girl who is extremely rude. She was working at the front working around 5:30pm 30th Jan, 2024. She was unwilling to give us the code for a Bakery item at the self check out and she said you should've taken a picture and argued with me and mom. Now a grocery store instead of giving training to its employees in how to treat customers is giving training to us customers on how to shop in the store ? Are you kidding me ? Can't remember the name of that girl but her description is medium height, at the front of the store near payment counters she was Indian (I'm Indian too). Next time as soon as customers enter the store please give them training on how to shop in the store and where we need to take pictures and what else needs to be done. So dumb so stupid unacceptable at so many levels.

Last Saturday, I thought I lost my phone and got very worried. The people working at save-on-food were very kind and helped me a lot. The cashier used her phone to try to call mine. She was very nice and made me feel better. The security guard helped too. He looked at the camera videos to find my phone. Also, the people at the customer service desk let me use their phone to call my work and tell them I would be late. The security guard remembered seeing me put my phone in my pocket on the camera. He told me to check my car. And I found my phone in my car! It was not lost after all. I want to say a big thank you to the cashiers, the security guard, and the customer service people. They were all very helpful and kind. Save-on-food has very good people working there. Thank you so much for helping me find my phone!

Our local Save On - sometimes is missing what we want but a nice easy shop. Has been great for grocery pickup during crazy times.

Tidy, fresh produce, cool deals when combined with the app. In 3 years I've only had one less than stellar interaction with staff. Most are super kind, especially the morning staff! Thank you for the cheery greetings :)

Easy to find parking with their big parking space. I like how easy it was to find grocery items. Yes the staff are friendly and very helpful.

This store is good but could be great with a better selection and more fresh fruit 🍎. Customer service is decent. A cashier grabbed my shopping bag and held it in her hand until the transaction went through! AS IF I WOULD EVER STEAL FROM A GROCERY STORE! My shoes 👠 are $200! I have money!!! That’s the very last time I shopped her. I shop across the street with your competition!

save on foods is taking away all safety precautions. There is no way to clean the baskets. There is hand sanitizing wipes for one of the entrances. They now have people enter and exit from the same places. Why are they taking away the covid precautions at a grocery store but closing all the restaurants?

Nice place but don't shop in saveon. My favorite place is Metrotown Super Store and the mannager is a sweet Asian Brother, also T&T is good, some times costco. Save on is too expensive for working dudes like me. Good for retired people

Overall it's a decent store. The staff are always very friendly, it's well maintained and they have a good selection of products. The only cons would be the produce section isn't always fresh (some of it looks half dead) Also, I have to double check the meat/seafood dates because they leave expired products out on display (I've had to bring items back because of this which was a hassle)

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hot food counter has unfortunately taken a downturn as they don't do mashed potatoes anymore which is rather frustrating, pretty much the main reason I drive on past Safeway to come here. Let me know if you guys put the mash back on the menu and I will come back but for now I'll have to shop at Safeway.

Nice staff, but Save On Foods is absolutely gouging it’s customers. This needs to stop. Boycott all if you can.

My favorite store to get my groceries. It can be busy at times but most of the employees are quick and friendly. They usually have good deals if you have a membership card, so definitely sign up for one!

Horrible Service at the hot and ready counter. Been going there regularly. Always have to ring the bell becuase the staff are to busy talking with eachother and not paying attention to the customers that are waiting to be served. Today. I waited while the lady in front of myself had to ring the bell becuase the two women Staff were too busy having a personal conversation. Once client was served the staff continued to talk to the other staff and attended the hot pies then she came back and made eye contact as I was next in line and instead of serving in myself who was next in line she serves another employee. I'm on a 30 min lunch and can't wait so I had to leave. This is one of the worst customer services locations and I am a regular save on foods customer. This will make me consider utilizing another grocery store instead of any save on foods locations.

Is my go-to- store ..I go there for shepherd pies and scotch pies ,comes on Thursdays if I miss by a day ,,,they are sold out , now staff tell me they no longer carry these items.. not big sellers ! if they are sold out in a couple of days .. Tell me this was"nt some pencil pusher looking at a spread sheet some of the new cashiers don't know their vegetables for pricing , need to spend time in that section

Went day after blizzard hit. Shelves were full. Store was empty as you'd expect after snow storm.

Certainly not as nice a Save on Foods as in many other or upscale neighborhoods. Also I would say it was a bit smaller. However it got the job done 😉

Great shop, I have been to many save ons but first time being at this one. Store was very well stoked and clean. Staff were beyond helpful and happy. I will absolutely come back when in the area.

The pharmacy staff are the best. They are super busy and don't hold alot of stock onsite so order your meds ahead if time. I had switched to shoppers drugmart for a while and switched back as you don't generally experience rude staff here like many other larger pharmacies.

A good place for all your grocery needs. Fruits and vegetables are better quality than Walmart. This is based on how soon fruits and vegetables bought from these places go bad. Walmart might have more variety of food items.

Store was quite chilly and l.had to ask staff a few times to help me find items. However the young man who helped me was very obliging! Pricey though! $2 more on my favourite juice!

I was actually disgusted by the fact the Asian manager, few weeks ago I was in the store, the manager was walking to the back with the young lady who works there, he was rubbing his hand up and down her back, very inappropriately especially if she is under age!! Disgusted me and my daughter saw this and that’s inappropriate
