😠 Terrible. how they don’t follow simple rules. The instructors and the parents simply don’t remove the street shoes making the swimming pool a disgusting place, yelling around and making the F2K members avoid the area. They don’t care about safety and respect. People often mention kids, instructors, Pedalheads, pool, swim, lessons, swimming, great, recommend, daughter,

Pedalheads has fabulous instructors. My daughter is in Instructor Emma T’s class and she enjoys the class so much - making great progress because of her. Emma is attentive, patient and cheerful. She provides clear guidance to kids. She also spends the time to listen to parents and follows up on questions. I love her smile. Thank you Emma! Highly recommend Pedalheads.

Pedalheads Swim School is amazing. Teachers are passionate and spend the time to help the kids get comfortable and advance. My twins are 5 and within one session, skipped two levels! The pool in Burnaby Fitness 2000 is a bit colder but change rooms are nicer. However, the pool is very deep so teachers are with floating noodles in order to be able to help the younger kids while treading water (11’8” deep pool!) The Richmond Ironwood pool is warmer but the facility is very dated and smaller pool. I’m happy with Pedalheads and would rather pay the premium than learning with the public programs.

Pedalheads Swim is an absolute MUST if you have any little ones that are struggling with swimming! My kids haven’t been successful in community centre lessons, but with Pedalheads they have THRIVED! The facility is lovely, and the instructors and staff are on point. Kevin, one of the lesson supervisors, is always on hand to answer parent questions or to jump in the pool to help with lessons when needed. The materials that are used for the lessons are bright and inviting, and the progress that kids make is visible after just one lesson. 10/10, would recommend!!!

Their swim program is great, teachers are great and they're quite organized. I don't like how small the changing room is, but that's minor. I do agree with the other review with the parents wearing outside shoes around the swimming pool. The instructors should tell the parents to take off their shoes around the pool. It's disgusting.

Our kids thrived under the instructors and program at the Pedalheads Fitness 2000 Burnaby location. At Pedalheads, our kids got 55 min lessons and excellent instructions for skill development that we did not see at the community centre programs, although our kids also enjoyed the instructors there. Lots of smiles all around from the kids learning to swim which is always a good sign. One of our kids who is slow to warm to new environments, loved his teacher Kenneth, who was so gentle and encouraging. Thank you so much! Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience with a week long swim class here for my 6 year old daughter. The instructor, Pari, was so great with her and the other Pedalheads team members really helped make her feel comfortable on her first day when things felt a bit overwhelming. She’s leaving with new skills and a whole new level of confidence. Highly recommend!

All the instructors are very nice. They are very good at teaching all the moves in an efficient way. My boy has been here for more than one year, and he made great progress. It’s also a lot of fun. My suggestion is that little kids should start early and meet all the requirements of each level. When you see how beautifully they can swim later, you will feel the efforts are so worth it.

I can easily see how PH Swim is exceedingly different than your regular community rec centre swim programs. For example, at a community pool, if your kid doesn't want to get in the pool, s/he is probably not going to get in the pool. At PH Swim, there are always two lesson supervisors who watch for this kind of thing and help the kids who are apprehensive. My daughter was one of those kids. While my daughter was in Dean's class -- Dean is fantastic, btw! -- my daughter preferred the energy of one of the lesson supervisors, Jade. Jade got her in the water and used techniques to provide my daughter with an exceptional swim-lesson experience. Unlike rec swim programs, PH instructors use gentle, subtle techniques to get the kids used to the water. Each game or activity may seem silly to an outsider, but they are important for warming a child up to the water and getting them comfortable in and around it. I was quite fascinated by their approach, techniques, and overall communication and interaction with the kids. Five stars! Would definitely recommend!

This review reflects my experience as an employee through pedalheads. After 10 plus years in the electrical field I was tired of being taken advantage of and not being paid for the work I did. So I made a huge change and took the gamble that working with kids and sharing my magic with others might be more fulfilling. BOY WAS I WRONG! After two weeks of running camp, making schedules, managing both instructors and camper age 3-12 both my team and myself where NOT paid!! After addressing the issue with management, when I showed up the following Monday for my scheduled shift I was told to go home! Needless to say my interactions with this company leads me to believe that they are more interested in taking your money then paying those who keep their camp running. Ive filled a complaint with Colorado Divison of Labor standards to hopefully get the money that is owed to me and my coworkers. Is this the type of fun place you want to send your kids?

My daughter has gained confidence in the water and thoroughly enjoys her swim lessons now. The small sized, longer length classes has given her more opportunities to practice her swim skills

I love pedal heads. The staff are so kind and patient. Small group sizes helped my toddler to really engage in the classes and follow instructions. Def recommend!

Dean rocks! My five year old was so terrified of the water, he wouldn't even stand at the edge of the shallow end of the pool. After 5 days of lessons, he was literally jumping into the deep end. Thank you for all you do, Pedalheads! Now my son can enjoy swimming with his big sister!

Fitness 2000 is a convenient and easy to commute to location with complimentary parking. The swim instructor, Matthew, is fantastic! My child was initially apprehensive returning to lessons, but quickly declared it was “super fun!” after her first lesson. Thank you for making the transition back to swim classes seamless and fun for my child!

Fantastic experience. The kids love their swim class. Instructors and staffs are all really nice, provides us feedback on what to do well in and extremely helpful. I love the one hour swim class Vs the 30 mins at the community centre. A great choice for us and our family.

I had two young kids in swim camp this summer and both their instructors were fantastic. They provided updates and feedback about the kids’ progression after almost every lesson and were incredibly encouraging. Most importantly, my kids had a ton of fun and felt super safe during the time they were there.

Awesome team at Pedalheads. My son has gone from dreading coming to swimming lessons to not wanting to leave the pool. Fantastic instructors and hats off to the supervisor (Kevin) for some how getting my kid into the pool and doing some swimming. Way better than any Rec Center I've been to thus far.

Amazing facility! We tell all our friends and family where our kids take lessons and have nothing but great things to say! We highly recommend Fitness 2000 Pedal heads classes. Trust me, it’s worth the price to have that 1-2 or 1-3 teacher to student ratio. Especially something as important as swimming, you want them picking up these life skills quicker than not!

Pedalheads Swim at Fitness 2000 is awesome. My kids have Britt as an instructor and she is amazing and so patient and fun. If you've never done their lessons before you may be wondering if the difference in price is worth it. Let me tell you simply YES it is. The quality of the lessons and instructors is so much better than at rec centres.

My son has taken several levels of swimming with Pedalheads and it has been a consistently amazing experience. The level of teaching and small class sizes are a major plus. The students get lots of direction and the instructors have always been super professional and great. Absolutely recommend it!

Jordan and Jade are amazing instructors! Both my daughter's are really excited to go swimming. Honestly I don't know how Jade was able to convince my youngest to blow bubbles and be totally relaxed in the water without any parent help. Pool itself could use better lighting, but it is very spacious and lots of room to change. Free parking on site.

Great facility and Wonderful instructors. To name a few, Kevin (Manager) is wonderful. He guided us from group classes to private classes as it was most suitable for both my children. He takes the time to talk to parents and is readily available to address questions and/or concerns. Madison (Instructor) is a gem. She helped build my children’s confidence levels within a couple of weeks. We’ve only had positive experiences as all the instructors have been wonderful. Thank you PedalHeads!

The instructors and supervisors at Pedalheads are excellent! My child’s confidence in the water has grown so much over this set of lessons. I love that my child has a full hour in the pool and works in a small group setting so that he is provided with enough instruction to learn. I highly recommend Pedalheads to anyone looking for a fun and supportive swim environment for their child.

Emily is a fantastic swim instructor, and my daughter enjoys learning from her. I appreciate the longer sessions and small groups compared to other programs. I also like that the instruction is individualized. Way to go Pedalheads for having a great program for kids!

I have three kids and all of them have been doing pedalheads swimming classes and camps over the last year. I appreciate the 55 minute sessions so students can practise their skills. All the instructors have made my kids feel comfortable and made classes easy and enjoyable. They are compassionate, encouraging and fun. I would recommend Pedalheads to any parent who wants a quality swimming lessons.

😠 I wish there were 2 options in rating Edmonds: the gym and the pool. I haven't been to either since precovid, but when I went today (gym) I was disgusted. The staff were very nice though. While the equipment and the utility is beautiful and new, the people working out have no manners, don't sanitiz...
