This is, in my opinion, the best sandwich place in North Burnaby. I recently had the "Grinder" sandwich which has salami, prosciutto, dijon mustard, provolone cheese, caramelized onion. It's served on a nice fresh loaf from the nearby bakery and the whole thing was absolutely delicious. The next time I go in I'm going to try the grilled cheese. Whoever put this place together put a lot of effort into every aspect of the planning and execution. The ambience is very classy, the staff are super friendly and the menu looks really inviting.

Breakfast sandwich was tasty but a little salty and poorly assembled, really slid everywhere. The breakfast wraps eggs were an interesting color of grey. Blueberry balsamic pastry was wonderful and I enjoyed my black coffee although the iced coffee lacked punch.

The decor is nice, but the tables (and walls) were extremely dirty. My party actually came in when no one was around, but the staff couldn't even come wipe tables. They just stood there behind the counter the entire time. The coffee blend is pretty cheap quality, very weak. One of my party did enjoy the spinach and feta (?) strudel but the blueberry oat bar was soggy and tasted a bit old. Not really impressed with any of it.

Not many vegan options on the menu! They only have one dedicated option, which is just a salad bowl. They do have oat milk though! I tried their caramel macchiato with oat milk, which I enjoyed much more than the typical Starbucks caramel macchiato. To compare, it was significantly sweeter than a Starbucks CM, and I have a big sweet tooth :) The interior design and seating area is very modern, and I enjoyed sitting here to study 📖

I love the ice water here, it’s a 10/10! The water tastes clean and flows nicely on the tongue unlike water at other places like Starbucks. It’s not a choppy flow and the temperature tastes nice and crisp. It isn’t bland either, it has a nice flavour and a bit of that spring water kick! Highly recommend! Also the drinks and food are amazing!

First time trying dacquoise. Not too sweet and smooth cream inside. Ordered lemon cream and earl grey. I like them

The vibes here are immaculate! Soft jazz, big breezy windows, lots of seating, and the staff are very nice. I had the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich which was excellent, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone.

First time eating here. The Jupiter sandwich was tasty and just the right size for me. My friend needed 2 sandwiches. The London Fog was well made. I'll come back next time to try the desserts which looked amazing.

Great Cafe, amazing food and drinks! 🥪☕️🍵 Even though this cafe has been open since 2020, I've haven't tried it until today. Interior design and atmosphere is great and welcoming. Food and drinks are great for the price. The juniper sandwich is amazing. It taste just as good as the all the Italian sandwiches I've had in Italy! I'm quite shocked. The deli cuts was juicy and tender, and the bread used is perfect. 🥰 I ordered the caramel macchiato and it's so much better than the Starbucks one that's my go-to. Idk what it is about the caramel that was so tasty with a smokey flavour. Unfortunately, the espresso in the latte cannot be compared to expresso in Italy

Ambit is close to home and it's local and all the more reason I love it. They have lunch specials that are well priced. The young people who serve are not just polite but really care. They answer all questions carefully and that makes the experience even better. There is a lovely new soup everyday and I love the lentil one. If you are looking for coffee and a little snack look no further. There are hearty lunch sandwiches all made fresh and served with a smile. I love the avo tuna and the grilled cheese. I go here often armed with a book. I spend my time reading, writing and enjoying the warmth and the calm atmosphere. This is a place that ticks off many boxes whether you visit alone or with a friend. Enjoy! The owner is often there serving and chatting with all the patrons. Absolutely love it. If you have a sweet tooth, there are lovely Italian pastries to choose from. Yum!!!

After checking the doctor next door, we dropped by the cafe and try having some breakfast. The portion is quite large and taste is good. I loved the onion pickle right next to my sandwich. Bread is also fresh and crispy. Belgian chocolate that my kid have also taste very good

Ordered their London Fog and breakfast bacon wrap. Service was friendly and fast but I didn’t come during rush time though.

Friendly staff. Mediocre breakfast sandwich. Didn’t stick together well, slid all over, two over cooked eggs (rubbery), a slice of meat, little bit of cheese. I liked the punchy sauce.

I must give props to this cafe. I only ordered twice. Tried the Americano, iced latte, smoked salmon salad with their daily soup. I love the fact their food looks homemade in-house. Honestly feels like they put 👌 effort and care when making it. Portion and cost i would say it is comparable and fair. Keep it up Ambit!

This place is generally good given that this is the only other cafe in the strip mall apart from Starbucks. Baristas have been kind and accommodating. Food is OK. Cleaning their space regularly will give customers a better experience especially for the prices they charge. I know they had not wiped their tables in a while because I had to, with a lysol wipe I had in my lunch bag, and I had to use elbow grease to remove the stickiness of the table (stains from previous customers' mugs. Etc). Floor was also full of crumbs. This was a Sunday afternoon, 4ish pm.

Small but friendly cafe with good drip coffee and a delicious Reuben sandwich. Service was friendly and straightforward, lunch special was $11, overall would come again!

I ordered sandwich, soup and a drink. Sandwich:2.5/5 I was confused by the sauce. Based on the quality, the price is way too expensive. Drink: 5/5 Perfect, they used good chocolate. They should emphasize more on the quality of drink in their advertising. Soup: 4/5 Way too much things went on in my mouth, but the taste was good. Will I come back again? Yes, but I will not buy their sandwich again.

Good food, good coffee, friendly staff. I wish I started going here earlier. If you're in the area give Ambit a shot over the Starbucks which is always packed at Kensington Square anyways. 10/10 **have to add this now that I've tried their tuna melt, it's litterally so delicious. The best tuna melt I've ever had.

Nice cozy cafe in the neighbourhood. Ordered the soup of today and a orange cranberries muffin (warmed up), they both taste really good! Forgot the name of the soup but it’s yam and peanuts based vegan with some spices, it sounds kind of an odd combination to me but it is very yummy and comforted in this cold & wet weather. The muffin is fully loaded with cranberries and moist. I like it. Staff is friendly and the environment is comfortable and welcoming. Room for improvement: some tables are sticky and the some chairs are oily, keeping up the dining area clean and sanitized is crucial to most of the customers.

Ordered a few times from here. The tuna melt was pretty good, the drinks are a little pricey and just okay. The one time I ordered an iced coffee there was way too much ice. I ordered a shake (I forget which flavour, though since it's been a while since) and it wasn't satisfactory though it seems they do have a well thought out menu.

Best worst coffee shop! Their take out coffee cup lids do not properly close (or weren’t properly closed; they close it themselves) hence I had 20$ worth of coffee go to waste, the first time it happened I took fault and didn’t think twice, second time it happened, my partner burnt his fingers and we ended up in the ER. 3rd time happening, I decided to iterate this and request just 1 cup of coffee for the spilled 4-5 cups. I was told that I hadn’t any proof therefore they couldn’t “just” give me (probably 10 cents worth) a cup of coffee. Oh and not to mention the last ever cup I just bought from them tasted like dish water. They are great within the “ambit” of terrible service and coffee.
