I was recently a new client at World Dance Co and I was very impressed. They have a lot of variety of dance classes with great instructors. I have taken latin dance classes with several instructors and I have to say Diego Sanchez was the best teacher I had. He teaches in very keen and detailed manner that really sticks with you. Plus I never had an instructor that taught all styles of Salsa incorporated. I recommend taking private lessons with him since he cannot watch everybody at the same time in group classes, then you would not just learn the dance but the proper techniques. He could be bit aggressive in his teaching methods though. I do prefer an instructor that is honest and point out my mistakes whenever possible so that I learn, but some other students have said he comes off as rude. Especially the techniques he teaches are hard and feels more advanced than the current level so it is hard to remember. Because of this, learning dances here felt like starting university after taking lessons at other places which was like grade school. The instructors and the staff were very accommodating. The younger and newer instructors on the other hand were not very friendly or encouraging which if improved could make the place more welcoming especially for newer students.

Salsa has always been my passion so I decided to go and try it. One of my friends told me about the complimentary classes at Studio Records on Granville St DT Vancouver. I was amazed by Diego’s way of teaching. He was very professional, tolerant and funny. I knew right away, it’s just matter of time until I’ll pick it up. I purchased a classes package and started my Salsa level 1 follow with Salsa level 2 in Burnaby. So far, I feel comfortable with my dancing. The classes are super fun and have different variety of people where dance brings them together . You can come by yourself or with your partner. If you want to learn how to dance from a WORLD CHAMPION go to World Dance studio. I’m looking forward to many more classes with Diego and his team.

I have taken salsa lessons at most of the studios in Vancouver over the past 5 years and at World Dance for over a year and must say there is no better teacher than Diego Sanchez nor is there a better administrator than Erika Sanchez. I highly recommend training there and often encourage people that if you want to dance and have lots of fun, this IS the place!

Wow, I can't say enough good things about this place! They genuinely have the kids best interests at heart. It's a wonderful facility with a broad range of dance styles and instructors to choose from. I wish we knew about this place sooner for our kids. A+ !!!

Diego is the best! My husband and I are on week 7 of our beginner 8 week session and each week we can't wait to go back for more. We definitely plan on continuing and buying another package. Diego makes it fun and is such a great teacher. Would recommend as a date night for anyone (even if you can't dance)

Best place in Vancouver if you want to learn how to dance. Family run business and they put their entire heart into teaching and making their students feel comfortable. I highly recommend taking classes with Diego, because his approach to teaching and breaking down all the steps is simply amazing and highly appreciated.

Excellent dance studio with a wide variety of classes for all ages. Latin style with Diego teaching the adult dance classes like Salsa, Bachata, Tango etc... Had lots of fun learning new dance styles at this studio in Burnaby. Good sound system and nice hardwood dance floor.

I really enjoy Diego classes, they're fun and engaging. There's a really good female to male ratio. Lot of fun social dance parties to practice your skills outside of class. Service is absolutely amazing.

This dance studio is amazing for all-levels & many different styles of dance. I take some of my classes at their studio in Burnaby & they also offer instruction at 2 different locations downtown with the same amazing teachers. I continue to keep expanding my dance skills & knowledge for over 20 years now, with them. One of my favourite things about this studio, is that it is family run, which makes it very warm & they accommodate all ages.

I started dancing 3 years ago, and the way Diego’s teaching made a beginners life so easy to grow. In a couple of months I had the confidence to go social dancing:)) The fact the family runs the business makes the atmosphere so pleasant to be, kind of extension from my house. The staff is amazing as well, especially Jailliy who is an amazing part of the team, and having an affordable annual pass, really hook me up to all the variety of styles the studio has to offer. Really the best place in town.

We wanted our 5 year old daughter to take ballet class for kids and went there at the said time and no one was there and so we spoke to the owner Erika and asked why no one is here when she told us to come at the said time , she said sorry that she did not get a hold of us because we were not registered because it was Christmas break though we don't understand why she did not just text us as we spoke through text. So we then said we understand , and she followed up and told us that this january 24 classes will resume , we were grateful and told her to let us know if anything changes , we gave our email and asked to be added to the group chat. All was said and done and went there again. Alas , there was no class and no contact, she said she would email or text us if anything changes but did not do it. There was an instructor telling us that " Erika is speaking to thousands of costumers she can't keep up and wont remember". That comment really made us feel sick to our stomach , it felt like we were not even people or we do not matter. Its very unprofessional and not a nice thing to say. Our daughter was devastated that the class did not happen twice and now she thinks that the teacher does not want her. If I can give this zero stars I would , wasting our time is one thing but when our daughter cried because she felt she was unwanted because she heard the comment that instructor made about " Erika has a 1000 costumers she can't remember you and keep up " I hope people like this get their house in order, and own up to mistakes rather than make comments and excuses.
