Have been going here for about 2 weeks now. I used to be a regular at OT Montreal and used to love the insructors and manager there. This locations has less instructors and not the same energy as the Montreal location but again the customer age demographics are slightly different here. Would love to see some more strength training classes instead of just 15 minutes towards the floor. Would be nice to have 15 min run, 15 min row and 30 min strength.

The staff is incredibly positive and engaged. No pumped up roid heads at this facility. Just great people getting in shape! Never line up for fitness gear here, because you get your own station.

Love the workouts and the coaches. Each class is different so even when going 3-4 times a week, I don’t get bored! All the coaches are full of energy and are very helpful (but I think Justin is my favourite). The price point is quite high ($99-$199/mo depending on the number of classes) especially if paying for two memberships in one household… it’s a lot of money to put out every month. It would be nice if they offered a dual membership option to save some money, even if it required a contract or something. However, I understand why it costs more than your standard gym membership where you have to be self motivated and know what you’re doing in order to see results, which is why I still pay the price I do. It’s great that the memberships are month to month, no contracts involved. And while there is no sign up fee, just be aware that you are required to purchase a heart rate monitor from them which is either $79 or $129+tax. The only ‘con’ aside from the price is that the staff who work at the front answering phones, signing up members, etc. seem to be very disorganized. Overall, I am hooked and plan on being a long time member.

I love the daily variety, and all-in-one cardio/rowing/strength package. I found the classes both accessible, yet appropriately challenging. The instructors are supportive as well. OTF is the only place that helps me build cardio, which I personally find challenging to do on my own. Running is incredibly effective, but I just hate doing it on my own, yet somehow through simply keeping up in OTF classes, I now regularly "run". This really differentiates the studio for me, as there's plenty of strength classes to be found elsewhere. I'm able to run faster and more consistently than I ever thought possible, I feel more energy and mental clarity, the treadmills are so comfortable, the instructors are exceptionally professional and attentive, and the welcoming community atmosphere is wonderful. I think my membership here is going to be a staple. I'm glad I gave OTF a shot and I'm looking forward to my progress here.

10/10 would recommend OT if you are looking for a challenging and sweaty workout session! Everyone on the OT team is full of positivity/energy and is all very friendly (big shout out to Paul and Heather). The studio is very modern/clean and they take lots of precautions to keep it that way by encouraging members to wipe down the equipment after every single use.

Orange Theory as a work out is fantastic and suits all of my needs. The extra added bonus are the people and community that have come together at North Burnaby to motivate each other in class. Special shoutouts to Coach Andrew, Coach Kristin, Coach Makaila, and Coach Leila💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 and of course the incredible front desk staff!!!

So happy I joined orange theory! The studio is very clean and all the staff and coaches are great. Workout is different everyday so you never get bored of them. They have a bunch of different challenges throughout the month too which also makes classes exciting.

It's been years since I last enjoyed a workout like I did at this place. I didn't feel passionate about fitness, but after the first session I had in Orangetheory, I knew I will keep going back there. I love this place especially when I have a class with Val. I don't get tired of workout anymore. All the staff are also super friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed my OTF class! Coach Val was awesome! She was so encouraging & enthusiastic! Val & the staff were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable! I felt very reassured with my heart being monitored during the class & loved the new equipment! Val explained things well & helped me adapt the class to work within my abilities & restrictions! I highly recommend Coach Val & the whole Burnaby OTF team!

I've been doing Orangetheory Fitness for years and have changed several studios due to circumstances (proximity to office or home, closures during pandemic etc). I was very excited to see them opening in my neighbourhood, now I don't have to travel far to get my fix! If you've never tried it, it's basically a HIIT group class that allows you to exercise on treadmill, rower and floor/free weights and it does it in a very gamified and versatile way that definitely helps tons with mental challenge of an intensive workout. It's also quite flexible and adoptable to your fitness level which helps with barrier to entry and stick to it. Long story short, it made a total cardio-hater in me fall in love with running and I simply LOVE IT. It may be on a pricier side if you're comparing it to regular gym memberships, but it's not a fair comparison, as it's guided and coaches provide more direct support and feedback. The new studio in North Burnaby is amazing! Very spacious and clean, with new state-of-the-art equipment, great and friendly staff and amazing coaches (my favorite is definitely Val, but all of them are great). Plenty of parking in the area, as well as places to refresh after the workout. Highly recommended!

Welcoming staff, clean premises, friendly patrons, trainers who truly care about their members and a very cool workout vibe that makes it easy to feel comfortable working at your present level as you look to level up. Having worked out at a number of gyms over the decades I know that this type of workout and environment when properly approached with dedication will give visible results fast which encourages one to push on. Mixed with other activities this workout is one you can look forward to on those days when it's miserable outside and any other day for that matter. No waiting for someone to get off a piece of equipment because they either lack intensity in their workout or they are on their phone texting while in the gym and you want to stay on pace for your workout. Check it out. The staff has a no pressure approach. They have the "we're here for you when you need us" approach. I highly recommend this workout no matter what your age or your level of fitness.

Very friendly staff and trainers. Positive environment. Worksouts are nicely varied. Quite a new location so equipment is in great condition. Recommend trying out the free intro session if you have never been.

😠 I can’t say I would attend this gym, and am currently looking for a new one. I’ve been going to gyms all my life with no complaints, but this location is wildly incompetent. 1. They increased fees with little warning to handle additional costs for cleaning during the pandemic. I don’t mind paying m...

😠 If you are interested in basic gym membership, it's cheap, fine. They are not upfront about their annual upkeep fee (~$60). While it is on the Terms and Conditions which you need to read and sign off on carefully (which I did) , it is dishonest of them that they do not explain this to you. And this...
