👍👍 This is my favorite yoga studio! It is my go-to place to de-stress, exercise, stretch, meet new and see old friends, experience stillness and mindfulness. I also feel safe with the COVID-19 safety protocols in place - social distancing and mask wearing throughout and practicing in the spacious room... This is my favorite yoga studio! It is my go-to place to de-stress, exercise, stretch, meet new and see old friends, experience stillness and mindfulness. I also feel safe with the COVID-19 safety protocols in place - social distancing and mask wearing throughout and practicing in the spacious room with mats at least 2.5 meters distance apart. I recommend Heights Yoga because of the amazing community, the instructors, and relaxing space.

The little studio that could. The Heights team has created a yoga haven for North Burnaby yogis. They swooped in to save a space, in the middle of the pandemic. They knew they would be operating at a loss and rolled with all the government restrictions and closures. You can knock this place down, but it will always get back up. Most of their instructors are exceptional. Great variety of classes. Beautiful space. Reasonable prices.

I recently signed up for intro pass for 2 weeks with Heights Yoga, and quickly signed up for the monthly pass. Very friendly staff here, and all the classes are fun and unique depending on the instructor.Mostly been doing the hatha hot flow with music and yin yoga flow class has been different and a good challenge.

I kind of adore this new (to me) north Burnaby studio. It has a super chill, unpretentious east van, early aught vibe. Its not over the top, or egoist yogi place to yoke. Ive been attending aprox 3/week hot and worm yoga and have really enjoyed the ease and grace created by the teachers and staff. An eclectic group of all abilities- the space is lovely, grounded, liberated. It allows for authentic practice without all of the other elements, which at times, deter me from more commercial studios. The space is clean, tidy and comfortable. For the most part the teachers have embraced a spacious and accessible practice for yogis. They welcome you to drop into the body and move inward into deep and meaningful practice. I was throw off a few times by a traditional Indian style which was confusing for me. Also, there was some misdirection and issue of words (like saying head instead of feet/ back instead of chest) which takes me out of practice. Some of this is only challenging due to mastery of language-- and for me (likely) as I prefer to practice with my eyes closed- so when things don't make sense I have to draw myself back to the room. But other than that- the instructors have been very capable. I should mention my training has been in yogic practices which are very clear so that the student can trust/submit = drop in and away from reality... so I know im extra sensitive to more subtle instruction :) I truly feel so lucky to have come upon this local studio. The heat does all the work for me and I feel like Ive found a little place of home-heart for my practice. The space is beautiful and the yogis are lovely. Community heart zing***

Amazing. The best word I have to describe my experience at this yoga space. I have taken the one month unlimited introductory package and I can say with confidence that it has changed my life in a positive way. I encourage you to try if you haven’t been to a yoga practice. No matter what level or stage you are in this space offers something for everyone. With the wide variety of teachers every class feels different and I’m humbly learning from each of them. I am very grateful to have found a space that nurtures my yearning to practice yoga and I hope if you are hesitant you will also take the leap.

Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. Treats paying customers horribly. My wife was waiting for me to pick her up and was waiting in the lounge area. Note that they were not even closing yet as a class was going on. Whatever staff member or owner (Yuen) made a disgustingly asinine comment so loudly to another staff member to purposefully make my wife feel bad about waiting in the lounge area after class. Saying that next time my wife would be kicked out. Why kick a PAYING CUSTOMER out for waiting in the lounge area when the place is not even closing? Ridiculous.

I’ve attended Sabu’s class today and it was a wonderful, relaxing experience. He’s very funny and helpful. The studio is clean and welcoming. I look forward to taking classes here in the future!

Very disappointing! In 2021 until 2022 They don't let students enter without the Va.xx Passport. That's a violation of our medical privacy and the Canadian Bill of Rights. I understand that they want to keep the studio open, but it's YOUR body YOUR Choice! I don’t think being profit driven is inherently bad as it fuels creativity and some amazing progresses in our society. However, there are higher ideals, and sometimes one needs to make sacrifices for these higher ideals and money becomes less important in these situations. When one creates a business preaching these higher ideals like yoga studios, but then when the chips are down, fail to espouse to these higher ideals, and thereby failed the Great Spiritual Test that was presented to us, well, they aren’t authentic. The decisions they made were to save their own selves and their business. This is the primordial reptile brain (fear) which is operating for those who failed to do the right thing; a lower frequency vibration (and operating on the 3 lower chakras). Not very ‘yogic’ if you ask me.

Heights yoga is my turning point of my life! When I first saw the studio after moving near heights, I only thought oh there's a yoga studio and I never imagined I'd start yoga. I was jogging one day and I ended up passing by here and I decided to give it a shot all of a sudden. My first instructor, Danielle, was so sweet even though it was a last minute when I went into the studio without knowing anything. She let me try first and decide if I wanna get an intro membership or not. My first yoga class ever was literally a new world for me. It was so relaxing, and especially Danielle's voice has special power to drive me further into yoga. I felt genuine happiness and achievement at the moment. I usually joined morning classes since I'm a student and I don't really have spare time except morning and all classes were so helpful to start my days super happily. My favourite instructor, Bryony, always welcomed me so brightly and her class is so calm and good to concentrate on myself, like how I've been doing, how my body's condition is, etc. She always made my days! My go-to instructor, Nella, is a perfect instructor if you are looking for a bit more energetic class. I thought yoga is always calm and static activity but it was my streotype. Her flow class is wonderful. I usually do gym and yoga at the same time and when I don't really feel like going to gym then I always joined her class since it's pretty active and after all I feel really great about having completed the class successfully. You can find your body is soaked in with sweat after her class and this is so satisfying. I newly started taking Carolyn's class, and it's literally fantastic. Her class is a bit more demanding than others, I don't know it is because I always take flow class or not, but I could always learn something new from her. Her classes were so good to try challenging postures as she let us give it a try all the time and she directs so well how to do it. Nash helped me with good advices when I was so depressed that I didn't want to do anything and I wanted to hold my membership for a little while. It was so nice of her that she cared and cheered me up even though I just asked for holding. It's been almost 5 months since I started coming here, I would like to say I'm changed in a good way thanks to heights yoga. I became healthier and happier and most of all, I started loving myself more than before. Because I'm a foreigner and I'm still learning English, sometimes it was struggle for me to keep up with the classes when my instructors only let me know what postures I need to take only verbally so I sometimes needed to peep at other yoggies. But I got used to some words(or peeping around:-)) little by little eventually by searching them I heard during the classes after, and it helps me to focus on class more and it got exciting too when I hear them I got to know well. Thank you for being Heights Yoga, and thank you so much for giving me a chance to get to know about yoga.

This studio is a North Burnaby treasure. It's size is deceiving from the outside, but once inside, it has three floors (including full change rooms!). The space is modern/rustic, warm and earthy. Feels like a mountain cabin getaway...There's a variety of classes, styles and temperatures (not all hot! though I love the heat:), with fresh tea on arrival and a cozy sitting room on the main floor, I love this neighbourhood studio. Thank you Heights Yoga!

The experience at Heights has been declining. It's disappointing. After my initial review I received a pretty cringe-worthy phone call from one of the owners, where he kept twisting my words while paraphrasing them. I just miss consistent classes and instruction.

This was my first time trying yoga. I was impressed from our yoga instructor recognizing I had some difficulty and helped me out. Also the relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff will make me continue going to their yoga classes.

I joined in January of this year to try out the one month unlimited and I ended up going every single day for two months, I’m hooked! Not only does Heights offer some of the best variety of classes in town, but they are home to some of the most amazing teachers. A BIG shout out to my favourites; Sammy, Purvi and Valerie just to name a couple. I also enrolled in the 20 class intensive course with Sabu (teacher with 35 years experience). This has been such a transformative experience and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. I came to find my yoga practice again and was surprised by finding this amazing sense of community! I cannot say enough positive things about Heights Wellness + the owners Yuen, Nash and Howie and their teacher team <3 - Heidi

This yoga studio is amazing, the staff is super welcoming, the space is very clean, and the overall vibe of the classes is pure bliss. I got the one month unlimited class pass, which was a great deal. I really enjoy Karen’s classes she is a great instructor.

After being away from my practice for a long time, I’m so happy to have found Heights Yoga! It’s a warm, welcoming studio and so far I’ve loved all the teachers I’ve practiced with. I also appreciate that the teachers all have very different styles so there is a class to fit any mood or energy level.Thank you for creating this really great, authentic space! Can’t wait for my next class. ✨

Heights is an amazing studio & also features an awesome kinesiologist, and other health services. I have been lucky enough to teach at Heights, and am leaving for new adventures. The owners and staff are some of the nicest people in business, and work hard to make everyone (including all customers), feel welcome at the space. May the community continue to grow & prosper.

I need to take yoga so that I'm able to do my job, Heights Yoga was the most welcoming studio that I have ever attended. A calm quiet atmosphere, kind staff and an outstanding effort to help the community and others. Real Yoga

I started coming to yoga at the Heights yoga twice in one week. It is a very nice studio located in the business section of North Burnaby Heights. Lots of free street parking in the area and very accessible by bicycle as well. I was pleased to learn it’s a family run business and a very nice group who have homemade dry tea in a coffee mug before or after class. They also have nice couches when you arrive if you like to sit down for your tea or you can bring it into the studio. It’s a drastic change for mainstream studios. Washrooms with showers and the locker room and if you would like you can bring your own lock for the lockers. Extremely friendly no matter your skill level.

Blink camera Food Toys I had my daughter's 6th birthday at Heights Yoga. We had about 14 kids and 15 adults. We did an art class, face painting and free play. Yuen and her team were professional, patient and kept the kids engaged. It was very easy to coordinate the party with Yuen, she was so relaxed and accommodating to All my needs. She made a stressful situation very stressfree. All my guests said they had the best time. It was a perfect location on Hastings with lots of space for the kids to play. Thank you again Yuen and your team. We will be back for kids camps, yoga and hopefully more parties. Happy Mom, Pauline

I love this business!!! Yuen is an incredible, attentive, compassionate and thoughtful person. We couldn’t have found a more nurturing and enjoyable environment for our daughter. Our family experience here has been wonderful.

Unfortunately it was not my favourite yoga experience. The yoga room smells like bacteria from the hot yoga classes. The hot vinyasa class seemed to combine classic flow yoga with other movements… I prefer a more classic class.

I have owned an independent rehab yoga studio, and am an RMT and Osteopath. I love this place for it's authenticity and Genuine down to earth vibe. It's the first studio I have found in years that I want to take classes at. I am Happy to have found Heights.

First time here. Before coming here I called to ask about classes/prices, the front desk woman was very informative and nice so I wanted to try. I had a 2week trial which was great on price. Though their payment system didn't work before/after my yoga session. Didn't find the classes my style even if the class is listed as moderate or intense. After yoga clean up, not seeing sprays to wipe down equipments or anything, assuming staff cleans this afterward. Comparing to other yogas, this is more beginner and light relaxing moderate yoga. Music was not upbeat enough and didn't find the yoga place like a community compared to most. As well, different yoga moves would be nice but when I was here we kept doing alot of downward dog for the class Would recommend to try it anyways as they do have a large room for the yoga and a large change room.

😠 If you are interested in basic gym membership, it's cheap, fine. They are not upfront about their annual upkeep fee (~$60). While it is on the Terms and Conditions which you need to read and sign off on carefully (which I did) , it is dishonest of them that they do not explain this to you. And this...
