Ordered their milk tea specials with cubed jelly. I had milk tea oolong, milk tea, and milk green tea. You can taste a clear difference between the drinks. The jelly cubes have a lot of sugar in them. I ordered my drinks with 0% sugar, the drink itself didn't have sugar - just know the jelly cubes are full of sugar. Will likely not order from them again.

This Bengong is located in Burnaby (and right next to another bbt shop). I saw they had mango pomelo sago so I had to order it. Also got a tropical fruit tea. The mango pomelo sago comes in a smaller cup and has a more pronounced coconut flavour to it (and larger sized pearls). A bit more coconut flavour than I prefer. Might need to try some of their other flavours next time.

I loved their hot tofu pudding with purple rice milk tea during covid take-out only weeks but ever since restaurant reopening phases, they’ve cheaped out on the portion of tofu pudding put into the drinks in the recent 2 different days I purchased from them. Was very tempted to just quit buying from them and increase my patronage to Tea18 (rose pearls), Taan Char (popping boba) and whichever others instead as I’ve been regularly trying all the new ones popping up while revisiting favourites as well. I’m still going back to them just less frequently and fewer cups purchased at a time to see when they might get better or worse altogether. That said, today found new menu items added to try.

So what happened to bump across this place, and I love my bubble tea. This was very interesting! I didn't know what to order because everything looked quite good, and different! I ended up sticking with milk tea, 50% sweet with oolong tea and tea cubes. So this was very interesting They have cubes of jelly made from tea. And the milk tea was not bad, although I cannot really taste too much tea, I'm thinking maybe I need to choose a different type next time. But I will definitely try again because I drink overall was very good!

I only went here because a friend claimed this was her favorite bubble tea place. She may want to rethink that now. I had tried 3 hot drinks here: - caramel cheese cover tea - had it twice and was the only type they could make it right. Good mix of caramel with a pinch of saltiness. I ordered pearls with it but the pearls came favorless. - caramel taro purple rice oolong milk tea - was a rip off. Barely tasted caramel or oolong or purple rice. taro was cold and taste sour. - brown sugar pearl - was ok. may as well close your shop if you can screw this up. Overall, the favor and quality do not justify why their pricing is higher than other bubble drink places in the 200 meter vicinity. Even though I ordered HOT drink, they always came lurk warm. Given it 3 star is being generous; it is more like 2.5.

Cool new bubble tea shop discovery in South Burnaby. I quite liked the drinks I ordered. The major critique is how long the wait is since there were only two workers. The drinks themselves were very solid. I would come back to try others.

I got 2 drinks from here the Dahongpao brown sugar pearl and the Chrysanthemum Pu'er Cheese. I loved the first one because It had a very strong brew and it did not taste water down. The pearls were very chewy and I loved the texture and there were no issues with this drink. The chrysanthemum Pu'er is something I don't see at many shops and it is a unique blend. I enjoy. I got this drink half sweet and for some reason it lacked the same quality. It was very hard to recognize the flavors of this drink. It could be due to the cheese foam but I would have to try more drinks to give this place a better review. I liked their cheese foam but it was still missing something. Overall, I think this place is a bit underrated and I look forward to trying more drinks from here. They also had a cute wishing tree inside where you could write something to hang up!!!

Cool wish tree (I think) in the front entrance. The staff were very good at brewing the tea and the bubble had a deep, roasted flavour. The jelly was consistent in texture and very tasty. One of my new favorite bubble teas.

Have been getting take out from Ben Gong recently and we decided to dine in today because we were in the area. Overall, the gentleman working this evening was very knowledgeable about the drinks and had great suggestions for what to order. The caramel cheese drink and the taro pudding rice drink both hit the spot. We got them both in the half sweet variety and had both hot and cold versions. Would totally recommend even in an area / market that is surrounded by neighboring tea shops.

I told the staff “thanks! This is for my friend who just had a baby. This is her first reward” and the guy smiled so big. Cute. Thanks again! Also opening time is too early for boba BUT if you try an alternative, you will not be disappointed

I went with my family and had high hopes from the photos. However when we ordered they somehow were ran out of so many things, including boba when it’s a boba store!! The two workers were very kind and hard working however the drink was very unappetizing and the boba was tough rather than chewy. No hate to the workers they were very flexible, which is why I’m rating service as a 4.

First time trying this place and we ordered the Mango Cheese Slush and the Taro Cheese Slush! So good! Happy to have found it!

Like the tea selection, taste is quite authentic. Glad to have it in this neighbourhood. Sounds like they run out of black caramel quite often though.

Very cute drinks and great packaging! I really liked the puddings—great presentation and unique flavours with the granola on top!

Poor service. Ordered a drink from Uber at least 20 minutes before closing time, and then Uber sends a notice that Bengong has canceled the order. I'm guessing someone wanted to get off early. I'd go with La Foret, the Palm Avenue location, or Beard Papa on Imperial Street.

Friendly staff and nice environment. However not many seats and only good for small parties. They have many speciality drinks and every month they have 1 unique drink that gets changed or added. Definitely worth a try.

I particularly enjoy their oolong tea cube milk. They have awesome service and the tea taste refreshing. Cheaper than most in the same league.

Ordered a matcha green tea and the matcha was chunky and made the drink taste very bitter. I even tried throwing it in my cup and giving it a good shake with no effect. I'm white af and only recently started making bubble tea at home and I make better bubble tea than this sorry excuse for a business
