Kamui Mintara Playground of the Gods

Sculpture

👍👍 Nice park just down the road from SFU campus. Mountain park with gardens, play area, and large grassed areas. Also, has a beautiful 180 degree plus view of downtown Vancouver and surrounding cities. Off to the side there are nice views of Burrard inlet. Big bonus is that parking is free.

A park for people of all ages. It has a variety of short/medium paths for walking/hiking, has a play ground for kids, a restaurant, a rose garden, and of course great views. Also the wooden totems are a major attraction... Atop the park you can enjoy amazing view and scenic beauty... Ideal for a picnic with your family and pets too... Also there's an ice cream truck :)

Bound wood pole carvings display titled Playground of the Gods. There are many different poles, each with its own significance. Good place to see something different and nice photos can be taken during sunrise and sunset when the poles cast a shadow on the ground.

Beautiful place to visit. The main point shows very nice sculpting art. So many trails around, just attention on snakes into the bushes, I saw a few two weeks ago, around this area, when I went hiking. I don't know if they are poisonous. They make some noise and they are a bit colourful. See the photo for reference. In general, the view is really nice.

The best place to sit and relax for a bit on a nice sunny day and watch these beautiful sculptures, which embarks history between Japan and Canada. Also the views of downtown Vancouver and Burnaby are just awesome. 🤗 Follow me on IG - @jim_travelz for more places like this.

Loved this place. Beautiful sunset view. During snow time, You can do sledding. Overall calm and peaceful place to hangout. Easy access with transit. From production way skytrain station, take bus to SFU, get off at SFU and the same bus will convert to bus going to production way station, get on the bus again and get off at first stop.
