Well kept cemetery grounds all year round, even in the fall. Reasonable prices and variety of post-death services to accommodate for cultural differences. Good spacing between the pricier lots and the more generic pedestrian graves. Areas inside can look homogeneous so it would serve well to remember the specific area in which a loved one was buried for future visits.

Nice well kept cemetery. Lots of ducks around enjoying their day. The staff does a good job with the burials. Top quality this lot. The buildings are clean and tidy. Office helps you find a spot if you forget. The old building looks great and has a lot of stained glass inside. Lots of trees around for some shade. Lots of people walking through with their dog.

Working with Renata Steele to sort out the needs for future funeral arrangements for my dad and mom, who are still with us(thank God), it's a great experience. Her understanding, professional behaviur, and punctuality is amazing. She followed up with me even after everything is done. We build a relationship, it wasn't only doing business. I am so grateful to met her and she helped me to do all the arrangements.

Oceanview Funeral Home staff are experienced, professional and so pleasant to work with. They fully understand what you are going through and will kindly guide you through the entire arrangement process. Change of policy without notice and without prior notice that if funeral preparations are not done with them (they are almost twice as expensive as other comparable funeral homes), there is a $500 witness fee that is charged just to schedule a time to place the urn into the plot. If you forego the witness fee, then they do not guarantee time/date of Niche Interment. I feel this is very disrespectful to the deceased and our time and I would think twice about using their services!!!!

We used the services of Ocean View Funeral Home in February and May of this year. Carson Jordan, Korey Yu and their teams did an outstanding job both times. Their planning and attention to detail were delivered with a caring and sensitive approach and excellent communication. The May service was impacted by events outside of Ocean View’s control but they pulled out all the stops to ensure that the service and burial were not affected. Highly recommended!

Dave Clarke did a great job, as did the staff at Ocean View, Grounds staff etc. The grounds person assisting at the site did a great job of making sure the area was as well prepared. Drying the seats, its started to snow a little and was blowing under the cover Ocean View provided, to make sure those who wanted to sit could as they arrived. Good job! Dave offered great service and at the time of inurnment, keeping the family's needs paramount, made a last minute suggestion which relieved even more stress for us and was very well received. Good job Dave! Mom's at rest and proved so much that pre planning eliminates so many challenges, so much stress when the day comes for us to say goodbye to this world.

This is a review about the cemetery business and not about the site as a place to visit. I called the cemetery about 1 month before I needed a site for a family member. They didn't return my calls after the initial contact. I discovered later, that if I had made arrangements before the family member died, I would have been entitled a 20% discount which translates to a few thousand dollars. Then when I was finalizing the contract over a few days, they told me that the price went up in the interim. They would not honour the price they quoted me. Very dishonourable: to quote a price and then within days raise it when the contract was in process and without warning. For $140, they are willing to throw away their honour. If it weren't for the location which was desirable for personal reasons, out of principle, I would have walked away and never do business with them. Obviously the company's priority is their bottom $$$ line, and not about providing a quality service.

Ted and the staff were very professional and sensitive to our feelings. Years before my Father passed away we planned the major framework of the mass, entombment and reception. I would recommend pre-planning the event and can share that our experience of that day was as good as it could be.

We are a flower shop. We always called the office to check the funeral time. They used to help. However, it looks like they have new employees in the office now. The staff only helped us to check today's funeral. She doesn't want to help us to check the future services. It's really unprofessional.

My grandma passed away recently and had bought a plot of land at Oceanview many many years ago. The funeral home provided a phone number for Bob Barker. When I called Bob to set up an appointment to go over the paperwork and whatever else was needed, I asked if there was anyone that spoke cantonese that can help us as my mom and aunt are not fluent in english. He said no. So I asked for a translator, he also said no. When we got to the appointment he seemed to want to upsell us on everything. They only cared about the bottom line. At the end of the appointment we were told we needed a follow up appointment regarding headstone and again I ask if there was a cantonese speaker to help. And what do you know he brings in a Cantonese advisor. He sang her praises saying she’s the best. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful. My question is why was she not brought on during the initial appointment that would have made things go so much smoother and easier. If it wasn’t for a pre-purchased land at Oceanview, I would have avoided it at all cost.

I highly recommend Ocean View. Rebecca was absolutely amazing every step of the way and we were all blown away with how she possessed such compassion and kindness during this hard time for our family. We all could tell she genuinely wanted to ensure that each one of us felt supported and taken care of throughout this process. Her calm and compassionate demeanour really helped ease the hardship of the funeral day for my Nonna. We are all very grateful for Rebecca and the rest of the staff that were there today throughout my Nonna's funeral. Thank you!

I recently had to arrange for the funeral of my father. Ocean View made the process clear and simple, and pretty much free of stress. I appreciated the professionalism and empathy of the staff in the preparation stage as well as on the day itself. I feel that the funeral unfolded beyond expectations. In my grief, I had prepared two slideshows on Powerpoint, but discovered only the night before that Ocean View didn't have this capability to display the presentation while I read my eulogy. Despite this, the Funeral Director was able to work with my husband to present my eulogy in a seamless way. The guests were very impressed as well. Following the funeral, we had a reception on-site. The catering was well done, reflecting both western and Chinese food. At the burial site, it had stopped raining, and instead of waiting for another day to set the marker, they were able to do everything that afternoon. I was so grateful that Dad would be with Mom and that it was all completed. Overall, I found the experience very positive and I feel a sense of calm and dignity when I visit the cemetery.

During this difficult period, the Ocean View Burial Park provided my family with exceptional service. Michelle, the Funeral Director, was extremely respectful, empathetic, and patient with my family. All the staff who supported with the funeral from the initial consultation, early viewing of the body, and the funeral itself were punctual, professional, and understanding. Communication between my family and Ocean View was also seamless as they were very flexible and accommodating with our family traditions.
