I would not recommend this place to anyone that has lost a loved one. When you initially call them inquiring about a cremation and burial options you are met with a rude receptionist. Whose first question is, "are you able to afford our services? Or would it be best for you to go somewhere else?" No condolences, no empathy, and very disrespectful considering the individuals calling have recently lost someone. This place has beautiful plots but poor customer service from the receptionist. Maybe the funeral directors are better, not sure. After the conversation with the receptionist we knew this wasn't the right place. It seems like a money making business beyond that there is no human emotion. I do not recommend this place.

We appreciated our admin contact's sensitivity and kindness. Also, her competence - as illustrated by her understanding of a wide range of clearly expressed details and options - made her a pleasure with which to work. We were also thankful for the flexibility of the burial crew who in these difficult COVID times graciously accommodated our family needs/wishes prior to and after the graveside service.

We had an appointment with Advisor Austin Wong at 4 pm yesterday (September 12, 2023), and were disappointed in how long things took to get done. The software program used was extremely slow and his laptop shut down because of it and now we had to come back today to finalize matters. Today went much better as Austin had a much better presentation and clarified matters. We expected much more from such a large organization like Dignity Memorial who need to upgrade their out of date and slow software. The whole process of signing up could have been done in an hour or so, but it took 2 hours spread over 2 days.

Good location, good feng shui

Sandy Yue consistently goes above and beyond. Her customer service as well as her due diligence coupled with empathy in such a tough time is none other. I highly recommend Sandy as she truly makes the whole process flow with ease and care.

That's was brutal....Went there all the way to pay for the upkeep fees...And they just turn you around and ask you to go back find the foundry to go thru them..Really bad at communication and throwing ball around. Their after service is questionable. And at the end just wasted my time.

Sandy has been a great help through the entire prep and inurnment process. We are quite happy with the service we have received at Forest lawn!

Chris and the Forest Lawn staff provided excellent service for my mother’s funeral. They were very kind and helpful throughout the process. I recommend their service to those that are planning funeral services. James and family.

The funeral experience was very good/excellent. However, the free consultation with a grief counselor is virtually useless. I thought I would try it and only had a couple of questions but the person I talked to wouldn't, or couldn't answer any of them. I got the impression that I was talking to someone in the USA because she was very precise in her language, which gave the impression that what she said were pre approved answers that had been vetted by lawyers. She was very careful to not give any actual advice, which suggests a concern about liability, which is typically US. I do not recommend this service to anyone. However, I was directed to a local person known to the Funeral Home who was excellent and has helped me. I don't want to give out names, but if you are looking for a grief counselor, ask the funeral home staff.

We were made to feel safe and loved like we were family to the staff at Forest Lawn Cemetery and First Memorial Funeral Home. The care, professionalism and accuracy of what we wanted for my dad was followed through exactly how we wished. He was so sick but they made him look as he did in the pictures when he had better days. That was beautiful absolutely amazing!

Monique was very clear and thorough with explaining the whole burial process. Positive comments only.

My experience with Forest Lawn was exceptional. Sarene Nordwall was there from the start and created the most personalized environment before, during and after the service. Her patience and knowledge helping us get through this tough time was appreciated. The staff who helped with the reception were also very professional. Our experience with everyone on the team was perfect. Keep up the great work!

Our experience with Forest Lawn has been nothing short of excellence. Everything was explained to us clearly and thoroughly, with patience and compassion. We never felt overwhelmed. The staff was always around to answer all our questions. We couldn't be happier for choosing Forest Lawn. We know our beloved mom is now resting in peace. Thank you.

My mother passed away in April and my family had used Forset Lawn before in 2015 for my dad's burial , I can highly recommend them for your family, the staff were knowledgeable , caring and very helpful during the process , our family would like to say thank you to everyone at Forset Lawn during what was a very difficult day for our family

Always well maintained, the staff is very helpful. Sam helped us locate a relative I had not paid my respects to in years. It was difficult to locate as the plot was registered in his western name but the grave marker was made out in Chinese name lol. It was Ching Ming weekend, but Sam took his time to drive out with us and walk around in a heavy rain until we found the correct gravesite. We really appreciate his courtesy professionalism.

The sales person Sam Gao is a very dedicated person for his job. Due to my special case, he answers my call basically 24/7 to answer my concerns and questions and also to schedule the work. I really appreciate his help, made my life a lot easier in such stressful time. I really appreciate all the professional help from Sam and from Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Absolutely horrendous "customer service" from the advisor Anna Wan. Steer clear away if you want to be treated in a civil manner. Not only was she not helpful, she was rude, hostile and dismissive. I understand that she was not earning any sales commission by assisting me with my information request but she interrogated and berated me in the hallway before curtly leaving without giving me any of the information I asked for. This type of treatment is unacceptable and unprofessional. My condolences to anyone who comes in contact with her.

The director was very accommodating and sensitive to our needs during the planning and day of service. He was receptive to further requests following.

The team at Forest Lawn made our sad experience one of peace, calm and safety. Graham was respectful, caring and professional when reviewing my options and decisions. I would highly recommend Forest Lawn.

The team at Forest Lawn demonstrated professionalism, experience, patience and care during the coldest winter storm in Vancouver in a long time. They ensure the roads were safe for the family and guest and that all arrangements would go as planned. I was guided through the process and was provided advice to go back to the family with to make the final decisions. They made my job much easier during this difficult time and I am grateful my family chose to continue to make arrangements here at Forest Lawn.

We found the service staff to be courteous and accommodating, and the burial staff to be professional and efficient.

From the beginning to today I felt genuinely respected & taken care of for which I’m very grateful. It is also imperative to take notice & hail Anita at the front to Graham Pap & all in between. All of my maternal family along with my in-laws rest at Forest Lawn. I take pride & comfort in that alone.
