We attended a public hearing tonight re rezoning. Firstly, I noticed there is a sign saying no food or beverages inside the hearing area then We actually binned our Starbucks green tea before getting in the hearing. Later, we realized that all the city councillors could bring their mugs to the meeting. 🙄. My goodness me. Wasted my tea. Double standard in the city hall. 😡😡over two hours s hearing from 6pm to 8:15pm

Rude, disrespectful staff working here. Then, when a citizen asks them for their name and position, to file a formal complaint, they will not identify themselves. They claim safety reasons, and will then hang up on you. Where is the accountability for our public officials. Our taxes pay your salaries, you have forgotten whom you work for. Time to over throw these corrupt tyrannical officials (legally of course).

On two separate occasions Ive called the large item pick up phone line just to clarify a couple questions and was literally yelled at. I’m not a person to complain or give customer service reps a hard time but holy, I’ve never experienced such hostility from a public service employee. Of course, when the operator transferred me to the supervisor named Chris, it went to voicemail and I’m doubtful they’ll follow up. The reviews are correct and the city of Burnaby needs to look into how they are being represented.

May I ask that why city hall does not like to put extra garbage bin in the city?!!! I collected all these trash around my place which is close to bus stop and hanged plastic bag right there for trashing!!! We don't deserve this image because most of us I mean people works hard and pays taxes to have fairly municipal possibilities and facilities! Please use my taxes paid to put garbage bin in the city Thank you

For the past couple years, unresponsive to residents, committed to making Burnaby as difficult as possible to travel or do business in. Just like New Westminster has been for a few decades. Burnaby learned from their neighbours. Mike campaigned based on slowing the rate at which construction projects displace residents. Under him, far more concrete has been pourred, ruining a once beautiful city with concrete and paint. Wrecking Ball Corrigan couldn't even come close to the demoviction rate under the firefighter. Deeply regret supporting him.

Burnaby City Hall is a very beautiful building with fantastic landscaping and flowers all around. I contacted them about sidewalks and they responded courteously (but delayed) and said that they'll consider it. City Hall contains a café that is open to the public. City Hall consists of several buildings around the property, with many bus routes coming here. It is adjacent to the RCMP building.

I had contacted Officer Look of the Solid Waste and Recycling Division to take care of the illegal dumping happened in our back lane on February 9th, and Officer Look quickly responded to my email, and gave us suggestions. I replied to her that our office member had complied with Officer Look's suggestion and request for further assistance for a quicker and cleaner solution. Officer Look again responded to me within one day with another quick and decisive assistance. I am very pleased and thankful to Officer Look's profession and suggestion. For the best result for this, I and my colleague also tried to clean up the site again, and now just waiting for the City's professionals to come again to make sure the back lane will be extra tidy, and properly sanitized. Thank you very much Officer Look a safe and clean back-lane, we can do it!

Tripled tax bill for property tax in one year. Views tax payer as infinite source of $ because they can’t reign in their spending and they think the term “budget” doesn’t apply to them.

Burnaby seemed on track with affordable housing but now in the next few years they will rip down all the affordable rentals in the Metrotown area and replace them with expensive rentals. That will cause even more congestion on Willingdon Ave and near Kingsway. Let alone all the people and businesses it will displace. Seems like Burnaby has decided lower income homes are not necessary in their community. That building around lower income homes isn't worth it but displacement of people is and the needed service cost to remedy the needs of soon to be homeless people is better and more cost effective. Congratulations Burnaby for failing your community.

Do some thing about all the electronics scooters riding on sidewalks in the city of Burnaby. It is crazy how fast these people ride on the sidewalk and without concern for pedestrians.

This review is for the staff of the building department, particularly one of the plan checkers - Manny. I have had the honour of working with Manny S. one of the long-time plan checkers at the City of Burnaby. I deal with city plan checkers regularly across various municipalities, but Manny has been the most kind, responsive, and detail-oriented plan checker I have ever had the honour of working with. He has saved our hides countless times! Thanks Manny! Thanks to the city for hiring great people.

Taxed like crazy, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY just to park almost anywhere, I've had 3 parking tickets within 3 weeks that's a bunch of baloney just so i can go to work without walking a mile for free parking from my job. Defund the bylaw officers, I'm struggling to pay for food let alone rent and i have to deal with this!

Metrotown is infested with lots of rats and ugly high rises! Most of the recycling locations for large items are extremely inconvenient. The Burnaby Recycling Centre should not have any limited access to anyone who lives in Burnaby. The Burnaby City Hall is expanding Burnaby too fast that they can’t keep up maintaining Burnaby in a good shape. Vancouver is a good example how the Vancouver City Hall trashed its own city!

I think one of the reason that I love to stay in Burnaby is that the city hall staff are so kind and efficient!

We need to replace the Burnaby water main. Flooding is taking place in all sorts of businesses and buildings and it's long over due.
