I joined as a member almost four years ago. I mainly used the pool and went to Robyn's Spin classes. While I was away on holiday a month ago, the gym changed pool opening time. The gym opens at 5am and the pool used to open when the gym opens. When I got back and asked to have the pool opening time to be reinstated back to before, I was told that it was a business decision and I could have my membership terminated without charge. It seems Active Life is all about business of making money without friendly customer service, I would not recommend anyone joining the gym if you are seeking a friendly place.

As you can see from the genuine reviews below mine the quality of this facility has dropped markedly since it was taken over by Club Lime. The equipment is looking very old and tired. The machines have obvious rust and in some cases are being held together with duct tape and electrical insulation tape. This is not only unsightly but it is also a danger to the users. I have made numerous complaints to the club manager over the past 8-9 months about the fact that of the five television monitors in the cardio room only one has working audio and the picture quality has deteriorated to the point that it now unwatchable on all of them. Management has deflected and/or outright lied to me about the "plans to update" - claiming in August that "the Maintenance Manager has repaired the faulty screens" when in fact nothing has changed. Club Lime have obviously decided that the members do not deserve their respect and the Norman park facility is being allowed to fall into disrepair. If you are thinking of joining a gym - look elsewhere.

Place used to be good, but has gone way downhill last few months. They spend more time on social media than taki g care of the gym.

My experience at Anytime fitness eagle street has been extremely inspirational. Everyone is very helpful and a supportive family style gym. Not only do they give advice on training, nutrition and supplements, they also go that extra mile to help you achieve your goal. I have now been a member for 1 and a half years and I absolutely love coming. You get greeted by Brown or Allan as you enter, always being informed about challenges and freebies. I love my boxing classes on Monday and Thursday, they give me more push to go that extra bit. Allan has a lot of knowledge on different styles of weight and nutrition, and he really has been very helpful, Brown on the other hand, informs us on all upcoming events and also helps in training information too.. Just like to say that ONLY YOU CAN DO IT!! Itโ€™s that simple.. come along and bring a friend , letโ€™s get this started !!

As a family we have been going to club lime gym (including healthworks and activelife) for a decade; however, this gym has deteriorated significantly since club lime has taken over. The roof leaks, there are puddles of water/buckets everywhere when it rains, which is a work place health and safety issue. Outside of the gym managers, staff are more interested in planning what's happening over the weekend than even bothering to say hello to you as you walk in. At any given time half the cardio machines don't work and it's the same with the TVs. I use to do the classes, which have also dropped off as they didn't get the appropriate council license. I'm sure I'll get the token response saying please contact something @clublime to share your grievances just as bland as that response is, you're better of going to another basic franchise gym as this place is ripping you off. As seen by the other recent comments some basic changes would go a long way as you've just lost a customer that is expected to pay upwards of $20,000 in lifetime fees - do better club lime management.

It used to be a nice gym with plenty of classes and good instructors. Recently they cancelled many classes and terminated employment of very experienced and highly professional instructors including Dina and Kerrie. Instead they hired young and inexperienced. Equipment in the class is completely outdated as well. I wonโ€™t be continuing with this gym any longer and Iโ€™ve been a member there for 5 years.

This gym is HORRIBLE. Itโ€™s clear from the fake 5 star reviews, horrible management/staffing, exploitative payment plans with dishonour fees the same price as the weekly fee, downsizing of all classes and facilities, and that god ugly paint job over the previously wonder mural that all clublime cares about is securing vulnerable customers then locking them in for as long as possible. Iโ€™ve been attending this location for 4 years and I have not had anywhere near this much trouble that Iโ€™ve faced in the past 4 months. Have some respect for urself and ur customers. This is just sad. If the previous owner manages to read this PLEASE buy this gym back, they tuned ur beautiful community into a โ€˜broke planet fitnessโ€™. If I could rate it a 0/10 I would.

Great gym with plenty of options for everyone. It has a sauna, pool and cardio room. Changing rooms are well maintained and the gym is modern and well preserved. You can buy casual passes or pay for memberships. The staff is friendly and helpful. The car park is somewhat small for the amount of people that may go to this gym.

This gym is #1 in Brisbane! Hands down. From the moment you walk through the door being greeted by Allan and Brown, to the amazing spectacular Brisbane river view of the iconic Story Bridge, to the family friendly environment. After the refurb the gym looks amazing! Never a dull moment in the gym. Every month there is a challenge for all fitness levels and body types. Allan and Brown are always encouraging. Because of their encouragement, I had the confidence to participate in some of the challenges. If I have any question about anything at all, they are more than willing to answer any question I have. If it is regarding technique, they drop what they are doing and come out and show me. I am never made to feel like a pain or Iโ€™m taking any time away from them and their duties. The PT trainers are very friendly as well and always say hello. Familia faces (other members) have become friends. When Donna the owner pops in, she always makes her way around the gym to say hello to everyone. I feel very valued as a member! Definitely a family environment which keeps me coming back. I encourage everyone thinking about joining to come check it out! Thank you Allan, Brown and team AFeagle

Finally a gym where you feel like you belong! There's no douchery, no pretentiousness, just full of good people out to stay healthy and have a laugh. There's always a greeting from management when you walk in the door and they back it up with the service. Lots of machines and space making it very rarely crowded, heaps of facilities and everything's always clean and well maintained. Perfect gym in my book.

I really love the classes at Club Lime, especially Christianโ€™s HIIT class on a Monday and Wednesday and also Paulaโ€™s Thursday night back to back classes. A1. I know there has been a recent transition from Active Life to Club Lime but they have kept the class timetable the same which I know everyone is happy with.

I love the gym and all the facilities and want to make special mention of one of the trainers, Weston. He is an absolute legend and so knowledgeable in his craft. Makes all the sessions enjoyable, particularly Strength and Mobility and his HIIT workouts. Will always be a member if Weston is running his classes

Club Lime Norman Park used to be one of the best Gyms in Brisbane when it was operated as Active Life. However, since Club Lime have purchased the business, unfortunately the once well maintained equipment is in poor condition or even unusable. Hope they listen to their members and lift their service.

Since taken over by Club Lime, the equipment has not been maintained and the membership price has gone up multiple times. Multiple pieces of equipment have been out of service for months. My only regret about cancelling my membership is that I didn't do it sooner.

Club lime I was researching and looking to join the gym until I read all the latest feedback and the best response you can give for your customers is to email their feedback privately. This shows that you guys multiply don't care of public feedback and show any solutions to fix the matters. Broken cardio machines for several months is a turn off already, I just want the club to be aware that these reviews impact your future new joining members to think twice of your service.

Best gym in Brisbane!! Owners & staff that care. Active Life Fitness will always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable & confident. Over the past 7 years they have made significant improvements to the gym, they truly care about their members and giving them the best experience possible! Couldn't recommend a better gym to trust & start your fitness journey.

I loved this place before they fit out the weights room - the people, the space , the amount of equipment it was awesome. But they took it to another level when they vamped up the weights room and got all brand new hammer strength gear. They just continue to improve the place!!! It's seriously got everything u could ever want in a gym and it's nice to see a gym that reinvests your membership fees! Also the cleanest gym I have ever seen!

This gym rocks, and its a gym that looks after its members! I find these 1 star ratings very comical!!! Some from overseas, some what look to be fake accounts. And so many in a short period of time, and in a time the owners have spent an incredible large amount of money upgrading the club to provide the members with a top quality facility. I can only assume that a local competitor gym has engaged the service of a company to gives these poor ratings. The business doing this needs to take a look at themselves, self assess what they are doing wrong and put an action plan in place to make themselves more competitive and inviting to new clients. Not bring themselves down to the low scum level of trying to tarnish the reputation of another business. They should be ashamed, embarrassed and feel guilty of themselves.

This gym has everything you need in a fitness club. Plenty of good quality equipment in the weights and cardio room, heaps of classes to cater to everyone and staff and owners who care about your wellbeing and progress. They have just done an extensive refit of the weights room to add in top tier barbell training racks and new machines so the value for money is now incredible. I wish I joined earlier thanks guys.

I have been a member of several gyms in Brisbane and none of them come close to Active Life Norman Park for many reasons: 1. Great staff and customer service. Every staff member at the desk always says hello and is happy to help. Manager genuinely cares for members goals and gym experience. The Pts are so friendly and help you with exercises or queries no problem. 2. The facilities are brilliant. They have a huge range of equipment plus recently underwent a refurb. They have squash courts, cardio area, pool and classes so I have so much variety! 3. The location is great and central to bus stops which helps me get there after work and they also have heaps of parking at the front and back 4. Community! When I started up, I was blown away how much they do for their members from discounts to local business stalls and bootcamps! I have met some awesome people at this gym. Like I said I have been a member of big chain gyms and I'm so glad I'm now part of the active life community. Finally found the one!! :)

This is seriously the best gym around!! So much bigger than it looks from the outside!!! They have a HUGE weights room with all brand new hammer strength and life fitness gear, some of the best and unique equipment I've seen in Brisbane including a glute drive!!! Not only that they have an indoor heated pool and steam room, squash courts, free creche and classes ALL INCLUDED! Everyone from the staff to the members are also sooooo friendly and in the short time i have been a members (about 6 months) the family that own it have done nothing but improve the place 10 fold. Looking back at photos in their Instagram that is all they have done the whole time they have owned it. No where that i have been a member before in the past (and i have been a member at many gyms) have owners invested so much much money in continually improving and fixing broken equipment, air cons etc.

Unfortunately even though the gym is lovely some of the staff arenโ€™t. When ringing up to fix a problem I spoke to a person named Izzie. After being spoken to rudely on the phone multiple times, when I asked for one thing to be done they were blunt, abrupt and then hung up on me. Definitely not a great feeling to receive from someone who is โ€œthere to help youโ€.

Not a bad gym. But a lot of the equipment is very tired or completely out of order. 5 of the 8 treadmills has been out of order since I became a member (4 months). Clearly not one dollar in the maintenance budget. The staff are fantastic though but think twice about joining if you plan to go in peak times as most of the cardio equipment will be in use due to no maintenance .

As the other members mentioned this place has been deteriorated in the last years. I have about 7 years of membership with this gym and my experience changed from great to horrible since Club Lime has taken it over. I used to love to go to the spinning classes 3 times per week and now there is only one class per week at 7 am. Members don't have enough cardio workout options and many of treadmills are often "out of order" .Also, the water bubble in the weigh room does not have cool water what make the experience in this gym even more unpleasant .

The crew at Active Life CARES; from the Members, Trainers(contractors) and themselves as a business - They have a "We ALL can win" Attitude, which is a big part that is missing from the big chain gyms. The staff genuinely care about the facility and the members achieving their goals. The facility itself is very well equipped and the renovations were definitely worthwhile.

Staggeringly poor communication from this business after Covid suspensions were reversed. I made it very clear in an email and phone call to the manager that I wanted to suspend my membership until Covid was no longer an issue (due to increased work load and other factors) and without even just a simple email, they start billing again... Ring to explain that this is not what I wanted and you keep getting the same message on repeat "That's not how our system works" = Here is a tip, I am a customer and I don't care how your system works, or I wont be a customer for much longer! Covid has taught us all that business survival is now about being flexible and Active Life have missed the boat on this one.

Unbeatable location by the river-front in the heart of the CBD, Eagle St is a first rate gym with a professional, friendly team - Alan and Brown are stars. Smaller than some of the other Anytime layouts, but with 3 racks and most of the regular kit, you can definitely get the job done here. Peak times would be lunchtime as it attracts the city-working crowd on their breaks. Wish list items would be a trap/hex bar, lying leg curl and a safety squat bar.

Not a bad gym. Great staff on each visit. I would give a higher score but the price is really expensive for only one month.

Solid gym with all you need. Few extra benches would be great but good location makes up for it

Little cramped but city location so rents ain't gonna be cheap. Need wooden platform for squats racks as well as chalks for deadlifts. Told them several times.

    Good

Quite small, dark and warm. Very few people in the gym at the time of my session. I would believe it could be very busy at peak times.

The location & equipment are good, but a significant number of people drop their weights throughout their workout.

Active Life Fitness are fantastic at collaborating with small and local businesses. They run several giveaways, open days and promotions for their members and the community and they always getting businesses involved. As a small business owner (with my business online - Luce Palms), I appreciate the exposure and the networking. I have also personally met other amazing local businesses through ALF. This is the kind of service, collaboration and community that you don't get from other gyms. If you are a local business in the area, make sure you pop in and say hi to the manager Marty and become part of their community :)

Been coming here for about a year now and It's the best gym I've been too! Marty and the team are great, have a super easy booking system for the classes and the pilates is lovely! :)

Canโ€™t believe how much bang for my buck I get with this gym. Itโ€™s got everything I could ask for in terms of facilities (pool, squash, yoga, studio, spin, weights, and cardio)! All for a very reasonable membership fee. I only wish they had a few more classes available on weekends.

I made a booking online for squash court, but they allocated the court to another member. Their online booking system is broken.

Used to be a great gym. Now they don't fix any of the equipment because apparently head office won't give them.funding

I love go to the Gym and I choose this one because it's very close to my house. However the machine are very old, and half of those in the cardio section are not working...such a shame because the gym it's huge and the people inside are very polite all the time. I found the place very clean and all the customers clean after themselves because of covid! The app to come in is very useful!. They have a swimming pool but I never tried.

Can you move the bike rack back more so the front wheel of the bike doesn't fall through when you try to park it there, it is difficult to park without scraping paint off the part above the wheel. Unscrewing the rack and rescrewing it half a meter back will do the trick.
