My husband bought me this experience as a Christmas present and we booked it for November of 2023. It was very easy to find and Dan directed us to the correct place to park which is only minute walk up the road. The weather on the day of our experience was cool but dry, and there were around 30 of us altogether but Dan was clear from the start about what he was and wasn’t able to do with a group of that size. The birds were natural and knew (almost) what to do and how to do it and Dan was very informative as to why they were behaving the way they were. He was brilliant at making sure that we all got a turn at flying each of the birds and was happy to answer all of our questions Absolutely fantastic day, loved it from start to finish

My Photography Day was purchased as a birthday surprise. Rarely have I enjoyed a February day so much. The sun came out, yet despite the cold and wind, it was a fantastic day. Dan and Jake were welcoming, fun, knowledgeable and committed to the birds. It was obvious they take a slightly more educational and conservation approach than some places. The birds were beautiful to be around, and to see them fly almost made me forget to press the shutter, but 3500 pictures later, I was sorry the day ended. They were happy to follow directions for placement and flying routes to try and get the best pictures, but to be honest I was just happy to play along with these fabulous birds. I would gladly spend my time there again, perhaps next time on an Flying Experience Day...or both. I can also recommend The Bubble Inn, just down the road. OK, so you get 25% off your bill by mentioning Mercer Falconry, but the food and drink was excellent. Could go there again for the quiz night alone. If you are thinking of going just do it, you won't regret it. Ask questions, have a laugh, marvel at the birds and remember to press the shutter...thanks to Dan & Jake, a very happy and fulfilling day.

Really enjoyed the experience. Dan was so knowledgeable and passionate about the birds and there is an obvious bond between him and them. It is basic in terms of facilities (no loos after you've dropped the car off) but he did offer tea and coffee in the break. We booked via an 'experience' website and would have been better booking in person as the group.was big. Still loads of time for pics and was able to get a feel for handling the birds. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Dan.

Superb! Not sure how to sum it up any other way. He really cares about the birds and knows so much about the various species and their personality types. Sway is still my favourite 'will fly for food' character. We attended as a group of 5 in a larger group experience and there was plenty of time with everyone getting to have the birds fly to them. I can really imagine that the 'Walk with a hawk' private sessions would be excellent. All questions we had were answered. The field is a large field and there were a few cows there which were not bothered by people or the birds. We wore generic outdoor clothes and even a smattering of rain didn't impact things. The only thing I'd have done differently is bring myself a flask of hot chocolate but that's just me and there's only a few things in life that are not improved by adding a flask of hot chocolate (mostly skydiving and watersports). Heads up - go to the loo before you go as it is held in a field, also the local pub (the Bubble Inn) does a top notch lunch.

Had a wonderful falconry experience here. Dan and Jake are hugely knowledgeable about birds of prey and clearly put a lot of time into their collection. The birds are well cared for and have an obvious bond with the falconers and it made for a really informative, enjoyable day. We all had a chance to meet and interact with several birds of prey that you wouldn’t have the chance to do in the UK normally.

We had this experience as a Mothers Day gift for my wife. Really enjoyed our morning with Dan. He is passionate and very knowledgable about his craft. Would definately recommend. These photos are from my phone as my wife is still playing with the ones from her camera! Just added one from Jackie's Camera Nikon D3100
