Whitby Park

Tourist attraction Park

👍👍 Loads to do and beautiful. I guess there's things such as the pond that could be kept on top of however you could also argue it's in its natural state. Lots of wildlife and lots to do. Play park, skate park, nature walks and ponds. Great for the dogs and more often that not there is an ive cream van... People often mention park, area, play, lovely, pond, kids,

Little oasis of calm in the middle of Ellesmere Port. Lovely pond with ducks, herons and other wildlife. Squirrels abound. Well equipped, well maintained children's playground. Great place for picnics, short walks or just to chill.

Lovely mature park in Ellesmere Port and close to the town centre. It's got football pitches, basketball court, tennis courts, skateboard park, bowling green, children's play area, cafe, pond, toilets and carpark.

Enjoyed my time at the park with Paisley 🐕 🐾 🐾 💖 earlier, had a sit down on one of the benches, for a couple of minutes, it was a beautiful lovely warm sunny day, for October! Think Paisley enjoyed herself too!

Lovely park with lots of places to walk your dog, really quiet and lots of parking spaces available. There's a nice play area, a pond to feed the ducks and lots of squirrels running round too.

Visited yesterday and wow what a difference, the new theatre 🎭 venue is just brilliant for all ages, there's a new cafe which has amazing cakes and coffee, yes we tried them , indoor toilets, great for prams and wheel chairs, lovely staff to answer any questions. The outdoor space is great and once finalized will be an amazing space for all to use, there's an indoor area for toddlers to enjoy the free use of toys and books, in the main park so much to see and do , I could go on but I think you need to check this lovely park out for yourself!!!! Oh there is a huge carpark Please enjoy and take bird seed for the many ducks

I love Whitby park and am there most days with my dog. I feed the squirrels who have got to know me now and take the peanuts I bring out of my hand. Great to chat to other dog walkers and see the families having a picnic or playing around the park. Good to also see the new theatre for youngster's up and running and various events taking place there.

Was a pleasure to walk around the park which has plenty to offer. Activities for the kids nice seating area and somewhere you can get a coffee and a bite to eat. Will definitely be going there again.

Wonderful big town park excellent cafe and play area. Toilets in the cafe. Parking is easy on the weekend but town centre parking fills it up during the workday week. Alternate parking around the park though.

It's a very lovely space to enjoy. There is plenty of wild life to observe, a lovely well kept and much used pond by the many ducks , squirrels and other animals , as well as the families and children that can stand in the viewing platforms . Large great old trees and well kept grass. Great play areas for children, and skate boarding area. A great walking space or even for a picnic under the many glorious trees and open spaces. It's a truly usable and lovely park . Well maintained and much loved by many. Parking is great with a large area .

It's a very popular park, it's OK, it usually attracts a lot of families, especially in the sunshine, so you could wait to get on the swings etc, not much there apart from that. There is usually a nice ice cream truck parked there.

Such a nice space in the port. Fields, park, football, skateboarding, hall for events. It's spaces like these that need to be treasured. Very much enjoyed taking my son to the park there as there was plenty to play on, he didn't want to leave.

Brilliant park area for kids. We had a 2 year old, 10 year old and an 11 Yr old with us. They were all very happy and enjoyed the park immensely

In itself it is a fairly nice park, but the people who walk dogs there really need to learn to pick up their dogs muck. It is everywhere, I certainly wouldn't let my children play here.

Whitby Park is one of the highlights of Ellesmere Port. It offers a multitude of activities such as a playground, a skate park etc. It also houses Theatre Porto, a small theatre that work with the community. The playground is very safe and fun to use for kids. There is a playground for younger kids and toddlers to use and there is an area with football goals as well as football/basketball cage.

I wanted to give Whitby Park 5 stars but I personally think more could be done for more active areas for different age groups to exercise with different experiences relating to nature. More trees should be planted too. It's an excellent place for children of a young age ie before being able to walk onwards. More could be done on the park creating more natural habitat for Nature.
