Moved in when BMC owned the property. They treated the tenants like family and not like corporate property. I moved out of state shortly after new management took over so I have nothing really to say about them. My rating is about the actual apartments. They are very old and there is NO insulation in the walls. So a note to future tenants: You will be able to hear and feel EVERYTHING. Even if they are remodeling two floors down and one across from you... it sounds like it is right below your unit.

I've lived here for almost 2 years. I signed on when BMC properties owned this location and they were amazing in terms of responsiveness and maintenance. The maintenance man, Herschel, employed at this property was amazing - our dishwasher broke the first week there and he replaced it the next day after we contacted management about it. He also fixed our sinks, gave us a new shower head, etc. Since new management took over, responsiveness has decreased entirely and we haven't had a working microwave in 18 days despite emailing them about it the day after it occurred (it broke on a Sunday and they just aren't reachable on weekends). It was stated that emergency issues have taken priority (issues which apparently take over 18 days to fix). People came by to see if they could figure out what was wrong and then just told us what we already knew, that the microwave doesn't work lol. They said they would replace it the NEXT DAY at 9AM. It's been 10 days since then. I'm over it. This might seem like a small thing and definitely a first world problem but a microwave is a necessity for us and we literally just ~skip meals~ because we don't have the time too cook meals on the stove or in the oven. Not to mention, we're paying a lot of money in rent and deserve to get what we're paying for. It's just ridiculous at this point and I'm so happy that I'm moving out so I don't have to bug management anymore. The location is super cute and I've loved living here. It's in an extremely convenient space, there's free parking in the back lot, a trail behind the complex, and overall just has a really good sense of home. I'm really upset that new management is so removed and unhelpful that it's just not worth it anymore. I could have bought and installed my own microwave by now and I would have if I knew it would take management ages to do this. With old management I would have rated this place 5 stars, no problem. But this has to change or more people are going to start leaving.

I moved in a month ago and I love it. The studio lofts are super cute and the location is amazing, there are many local shops and restaurants within walking distance. I also really appreciate that the management and maintenance team are always so nice and respond very quick.

I cannot say enough about my incredible experience living here. It has been the best rental experience I've had. From start to finish, the process was smooth, beginning from leasing agent Stephanie with her Amazing customer service. Leon the property manager is very personable and always responds to any situation. The maintenance team lead by Hurshel, always address every problem immediately! The location is perfect and neighbors are lovely! 5 stars!! Recommend to anyone wanting a outstanding rental experience.

I have truly enjoyed my time at Patuxent Place Apartments. I loved the loft I had for over 5 years, and am sorry to be moving to another city, but so happy I found this place to call home for so long. The management was responsive, easy to work with, and very accommodating. I had issues with my clothes dryer twice in the time I lived here, but always had a quick repair done or replacement when needed. The complex is located very close to major highways, which is super convenient. I also thought their removal of snow from the parking lot and sidewalks was top-notch; I was often disappointed to find I had no excuse to stay home from work because the parking lot had been cleared throughout the night. It's a very quiet area, plenty of parking, and I rarely heard any sounds from neighbors. I also liked having a few amenities and restaurants within walking distance on Main St, and never felt unsafe the entire time I lived there (single female here). The well-lit and open parking lot made coming home late at night or leaving early in the morning safe. I felt the rent was reasonable, and I would absolutely recommend this apartment complex to friends or anyone else looking.

I've lived here for 3 years. Nice and quiet...honestly never really see or hear my neighbors. Leon the manager always responds to me promptly whenever I've had to put in a service request and maintenance work gets done within 0-3 days thanks to Herschel. I also feel very safe here. I have to relocate to another city but I'm really gonna miss this place. Only the 2nd apartment I've ever lived in but the customer service has been awesome !!!

I moved in to Patuxent Place just over a month ago. I have no complaints so far - the area is nice/safe with a lot of nice stores within a couple miles, plenty of parking, the apartment itself is very nice and no problems with noise etc. The maintenance supervisor is very good, there were a couple issues after I moved in that he took care of very promptly, and the work quality was very good/thorough - nothing like the hasty patch jobs I grew used to living in college campus apartments in the past.

The apartments are a good size, light and airy, and get great natural light. Management has always been really timely with their responses and very helpful. Rent is a little pricey, but seems to be comparable to other apartments in the area. I’ve felt very safe and comfortable throughout my time here (about a year).

New Boss Is definitely not the old boss....... Been here for almost two years, and I can say that the change between old management(BMC) and the new(?) is night & day. Unresponsive, and no staff as far as I can tell. Everything seems to be contracted out, which means any unfamiliar person has access, and couple that with a rent increase that's a ridiculous percentage, which equates to higher prices than secured buildings in the area. Apparently the new owner is some type of boutique apartment broker, which basically is a fancy way of saying they're doing a heavy rent increase🙄.

Conveniently located on Main Street within walking distance from several excellent food options (I personally liked The Little Chickadee and Red Hot & Blue) and cafes (I recommend Ragamuffins). It's an easy drive to Weis for groceries and High Ridge Park for recreation. Like another reviewer mentioned, I found the room surprisingly quiet; this was a huge plus for me as a light sleeper. The property management are true professionals and very pleasant to work with. My interactions with them were timely and positive across the board. The maintenance guy is also a gem. He will not give you any hassle when fixing issues.
