Had laser eye surgery at the Manchester clinic in February this year and I couldn't be happier with the results. I felt everything was explained to me at the initial consultation and they were on hand to answer any queries i had right up until the treatment day. At my follow up appointment the day after it was confirmed I had 20-20 vision. They were very professional and the after care follow up appointments were superb. Couldn't recomend highly enough.

Just had LASIK Surgery done at the Manchester Clinic yesterday and words can’t describe how I feel right now. Literally feels like a gift from heaven with the end results. My vision one day on is already 20/20 and this was confirmed after the first aftercare appointment today. From start to finish you are reassured by the staff and everything is explained thoroughly and most importantly communication is excellent. From the Manchester clinic Asen Jamir (Treatment Advisor) looked after me the most with any questions I had and was always there for support alongside her advisor Christine. I would recommend OPTIMAX and the surgeon Jan who’s the most professional and he makes you feel at ease from start to finish. Also I recommend to anyone it’s worth travelling down to the Manchester Clinic and PLEASE do not think twice or hesitate to get LASER eye done as it will be life changing and rewarding in such a quick time frame! If I give this company more then 5 stars I would! Lots of love guys and thank you once again

Had my eyes done here almost 13 years ago, and I am glad to say my sight is still as good as the day when my eyes fully healed. Ended up going from severe short sightedness to better than 20:20 vision. I will always remember the fantastic service I got from the initial consultation, surgery and the aftercare. Had an amazing experience with Optimax Manchester. It has definitely been a life changing experience and I cannot thank them enough. From the beginning to the end they have given me the best treatment and has ensured everything went at ease. I was very scared at first but they reassured me all the time and answered any question. The surgeon was amazing and made sure I was comfortable all the way through the procedure. I would definitely say to go here as I did not expect such an amazing outcome. My eyes are now both more than 20 20 in just 3 months. Gordon, Sue and Amanda have been amazing. Always friendly to help and answered any of my questions.

Excellent results. The team at Optimax Manchester were welcoming and reassuring, keeping me informed pre, during, and post-procedure. LASIK in both eyes in Nov22, and I have stabilised outstanding vision. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I had to wear either glasses or contacts since I was a kid. I had Lasek surgery. The operation went great: it was quick and painless and the recovery was very easy. The staff was very nice and followed me throughout the recovery.

My dad and his wife had their eye laser surgery done on 21st April , they now both have problems with their eyes, they have already paid the surgery £7000 but the dr has told them they need to pay another £400 each to have another surgery because apparently they both have dust in their eye lenses!!! This is because they both are having problems with blurry eyes, specially my dad because he has had both eyes done. Now we asked the dr why they have to pay again?! And they say this is a process and happens to 1 person in 100, strange isn’t it that they are both having the same problem…! Never mind the money, their health is now in risk! Not recommended

My experience at Optimax Manchester was brilliant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had LASIK treatment and I was able to drive after a week and after 1 month I had 20:20 Vision. After 3 months I had perfect results. The surgeons were very patient and kind. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Optimax Manchester for anyone thinking of getting Laser Eye Surgery done.

I wore glasses from being 7 up until 24, over those 17 years I never once liked wearing them, hated them, the psychological impact affected my confidence massively. Back in 2002 I did extensive research after my then visit to the opticians, I was informed my eyes had in fact not changed since the previous visit. This prompted me to look into laser surgery - a close friend of mine had had it done the year before so I had more motivation to do it. Optimax were one of a few in the north west that did laser surgey. March 2003 I initially signed up for LASIK but upon the first consultation my eyes were deemed too small and I couldn’t keep them still. Luckily LASEK, the cheaper, more crude option was offered to me (instant £500 saving). On the day of the surgery I was nervous, two valiums and I was still tense. The whole process was over within the space of 15 mins. The recovery, as they told me, would take about 7 days. By day 5 I could see almost clearly without glasses! A full week later it was an amazing feeling – no more fogging up, no more blurred vision in the mornings, reaching over to put my glasses on, no more rain drops, swimming in a pool and beung able to see everything! My eyes were a -6 and -7 before and after the procedure a 0 and -0.25. Can’t grumble with that! Felt like a new person, never looked back since - except when people ask what was it like. Optimax were professional, not pushy, also very knowledgeable and the aftercare (over the course of 12 months) was good (piece of mind). All in all, my life changed … all for a measly £995. Not sure what it costs nowadays but I do know the technology must be superior to what it was 20 years ago. I’d recommend it to anyone but caution has to be given – your eyes are things that cannot be fixed easily or replaced and every person has their own unique circumstances, research the horror stories, prep your mind for the what ifs, be sure you know everything. As for Optimax, it’s the only place I went to so can’t speak for the alternatives but I can say this it’s still where it was 20 years ago and still carrying out procedures so they must be doing something right!

Such a professional and welcoming team. No question was ever a silly one and I felt comfortable throughout each consultation leading up to my laser eye surgery. The surgery was pain free and the results were amazing, even straight after, I noticed a huge difference. The team were very knowledgeable and reassuring in the time leading up to surgery and after. I had my LASIK done over a week ago and I couldn’t be happier. I was cleared to drive at my first post-op appointment (the next day) and have had no issues with my eyes healing. The service at Optimax is great, Dr Jan (surgeon) was super friendly and answered all questions I had. From the consultation to the surgery and now post-op, the team at Optimax have been super helpful whenever I’ve had any questions. The first few hours post surgery feels like someone has cut about 100 onions but after a few hours, it all magically goes away. A few minor side effects, mainly just dry eyes and a little more sensitive to light but my eyes are still healing and they aren’t preventing me from doing anything (able to drive day/night fine). If anyone is considering getting LASIK, I would 100% recommend. I forgot I even used to wear glasses. Best decision ever!

Unfortunately, my eyes are getting weaker day by day. It was very good for the first month, but unfortunately now I need glasses. I spent a lot of money to stop using glasses, but I have to wear glasses again, and this was disappointing for me.
