The atmosphere is great and the food and drink choices are superb, but it is too pricey. An extensive variety of cuisines to choose from (mainly fast food but not necessarily junk: Pizza, Tacos, Burgers, Sandwiches, Noodles, Fish and chips and more). The place has its own Wine and Beer bar which is quite awesome (be careful of asking for the most expensive beer without checking the prices tho).

Very popular but we'll worth a visit. After being recommended to visit by a number of people, I finally bit the bullet, but was very glad I did. A food hall over two levels, offering food options from a number of outlets. Everything from burgers to tacos, ramen to Pad Thai and more. It's very popular, so don't be surprised if you need to wait for a seat, but once you plant yourself down, there is no need to get back up. 👌🏿

There are many stalls in this morning breakfast place. Before 12pm, there were only 3 stalls opened, and other stalls were preparing. I ordered mushroom on toast from the Tender Cow stall. After payment, I just told them your table number and they would deliver. Taste wise, it was a very nice grilled mushroom. In fact, it's one of the best I have tried so far. Jusmicy and flavourful. 4 stars

Incredible food and brilliant atmosphere. Ordering from your phone is a much better process. Staff are fast. Toilets well kept.

Beautiful historic building. Loads of light in the day and a great atmosphere in the evenings. All the food and drinks traders are fantastic, creating very high quality food. Also it’s a real treat to have in table service at a food court instead of having to go and collect your food when it’s done. It can get busy in the evenings on Friday and Saturday so can be hard to find a table. I would highly recommend.

This place is really impressive. Stunning building full of delicious food and drink offerings. You could spend a whole day here. The ramen place was very good, I also had a side of steak and eggs. The place that serves the wine is definitely a highlight, awesome selection as well as very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can’t wait to go back

What a fun place to have food! A wonderful selection of food, and drink, and communal tables on two levels, lots of character and fun, really good. I had the green Thai curry and it was very nice, slightly spicy, good vegetarian options too

The food hall offers a diverse range of options, with my standout favorites being Lucky Mama's fried chicken for their burgers and potatoes, as well as Eat Pico's delicious nachos. The venue has a vibrant vibe with great decor. However, finding seating can be a challenge, especially for larger groups. Keep in mind that the overall cost is on the higher side for both food and drinks.

Incredibly busy. But if you're lucky enough to get a seat it's great. Great atmosphere (we sat outside) and a great selection of food and drinks. Look at this amazing nachos!

Wow, what a place. If you are into good food and within 100 miles of Manchester, then you need to visit Mackies! It’s essentially an old warehouse building (possibly and old station or something) housing about a dozen small street food pop-ups. It’s a smashing idea, and one that has been done before (and to excellent effect, I might add). You end up with this quirky melting pot of all different varieties of food available in one place, and all of it is absolutely amazing as the competition is so hot! If you’re not good enough, there are plenty more people waiting to take your space just around the corner. We had tacos, celeriac gratin, and jacket potato wedges, washed down with beer. Lush. If you haven’t been, go. It’s excellent, and there really is something for everyone.

Great wine and dine place for happy hour and meals. Historical building with lower floor and upper floor for drink plus great varieties of Asian & Local snack for wine & beers pairings. You will definitely like it.

Interesting dining experience with delicious food from different vendors. Get your drinks downstairs then find a seat up or down. Order from an array of choices from pizza to tacos to Asian on your phone and you will quickly be served. Delicious. Especially loved the portobello mushroom taco and the Asian chicken on rice. Yum 😋

This place is epic. Loads of bench seating to sit and enjoy food from tonnes of different vendors. There's a little kids play area to keep them entertained while you eat/drink/be merry. The building itself has had a brilliant job done on it, really interesting to explore and look around. The whole place had a great ethos and brilliant vibe.

It is a really stunning place to enjoy drinks with friends, and the food is fabulous, no doubt. The best place to sit at is actually downstairs, in the open area, just outside open kitchens, on the right, felt a lot more comfortable there with fresh air. I've been there for 2 times now, but I still love to sit around and enjoy the environment, enjoy the delicious dishes, the Pad Thai, the burger, the tacos, Steep soda lemonade. Forgot how did I miss out not leaving a positive feedback last time I visited Mackie Mayor, but now I surely do, would recommend this place to hang out with friends and have a great time over there pretty much.

Great selection of food places and an interesting setting. Some food places are better than others. Ramen and Tacos fantastic. Steak place was a bit weak. Great place if your group can't all decide on one type of food 😅

Open food court with various different types of cuisine. Food is tasty, portion size are good and choose to pay via the app or at the counter. Recommended to go for a plate or drinks. No real options for desserts though.

An amazing area filled with food and drink. You have to get used to the QR code ordering that’s getting more and more popular these days but the service is fast. We had a party of around 6 people and found it was pretty tough to find seating, without waiting for a 10-15 minutes at least. It’s more suited for 2-4 people. Food offering is great and will provide enough options for everybody’s tastes.

Went for lunch on a Saturday, the selection of food is quite good; pizza, Indonesian food, pasta, Mexican and burgers. Also coffee and doughnuts are available. I had tacos, pizza and a doughnut. The food was great! Seating is an issue as at the weekend it gets busy, often you have to wait for a table or can sometimes share with other people.

A brilliant place to try a plethora of cuisines and excite your taste buds ! Chinese and Mexican is really good and I personally always go here for their homemade nachos and cream. The best part is that this place is open till 10pm on Sundays and the minute you go in , you see a huge bustling crowd . A good place for a late night snack and beer ?✅ A good place for a first date ? ✅ A good place to hang out and vibe for the weekend ? ✅ Well then time to serve your hunger pangs do what they deserve !

This place is terrific. You simply order what you like, tell them your location, and the food comes to you. Seating is sociable (benches) and though it’s an ideal spot for a date or group night out, I found it terrific for myself and my two kids. Everyone can find something they like.

(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my favourite places to go in Manchester mainly because of the lovely atmosphere, eating great food in a beautiful building! The photos/videos should help convince you to come and visit at least once! Choices of food is not too bad; I think most folks should be able to find something of interest to eat (even vegetarians/vegans should have some options). There's a business that sells ales/beers/wines but for non-alcoholic drinks you'll have to go to the coffee/cafe place on the ground floor just near the exit (ask for directions because it wasn't obvious to me either). Food prices are a little bit expensive but I did enjoy my food! And this place is super popular too so it can be a bit of a struggle to find seats, especially if you're in a large group of diners. Upstairs area are not accessible for those in wheelchairs.

What a fantastic use of this space!! Stunning building with a great history now filled with local delicious food vendors. So many options too. Lots of options for allergies (GF for us but noticed plenty vegan/vegetarian options and nuts were labels on dishes) Can’t wait to come back and try the other vendors!

A cool mordern food court with a great variety of different gourmets. From Japanese ramen to Indian curry to Mexican and steak plus all sort of drinks. Food was quite authentic and well cooked. The fried chicken was super tasty. Nachos with a twist was good too. It is all self served and the only bad thing was it is very noisy on the ground floor and ma not he the best place to chat but different a chic place to be. Price is slightly above average and all orders have to done via an app. Delivery was quite orderly and quick. Food court in nature and have to find your own seats.

Always so cool to see renovations on old historic building; giving it a new purpose, new life, new energy. The interior is nicely done and well managed. I was worry that it would be messy and a bit too street vibe to dine there, but the cleaning team has done such an amazing job at clearing and cleaning the tables as well as the bathroom facilities. Food was excellent as well but of course it will be depending on the store you go for, but at least my steak was excellent. However although it is a food court, you do have to expect to pay restaurant prices.

Pretty decent food and came fast. Very busy inside pretty much everyday. The soft drinks are pretty gross though, they don’t have any brands like Coca Cola, Sprite, etc. I don’t recommend the own brand cola, tastes herby and odd.

Cool place. Plenty of food and drink options to choose from . There will be something for everyone. Drinks were between £5-£8 a pint of you like a more craft beer. We also had a frozen margarita. The Chicken Burger was likely the most moist burger I have ever had, but £11.50, for just the burger... was the only disappointment of the day, there are places in Manchester you will get cheaper food for as good of quality... Saying that, it you're in a large group, with fussy eaters, you cannot lose.

Booking made a few hours beforehand for a big group of us with no issues. Food arrived very quickly. One of the best pad Thai I have ever eaten - loved that the prawns were whole and I could devour the prawn heads haha. Not that many drink options and were quite on the pricey side. I spent £30 for the prawn pad Thai, the vegan mushroom skewers and a drink. There were easily accessible baby changing both downstairs and upstairs with different pathways for pram access.

I loved this place. A vibrant, busy place for eating in a small group, when you all have different tastes. It has a young vibe and is quite noisy, so bear that in mind. Good choice was great - handmade pizzas, Mexican, Thai, burgers. All set in a beautiful historic building which was originally a Smithfield market.

Lots of food options, with good quality. The pizza place isn't my cup of tea beacaue they are far too thin, don't want my pizza flopping about when I pick it up. The noodle place were really accomodating for my boys, doing an adult portion and splitting over 2 plates. Ambience always good in the place.

Such a great experience! We’ve popped in for the first time for an early lunch today and it was simply amazing. First of all the place looks stunning, with its industrial vibes. Great selection of vendors, you can find almost everything your food heart desires. As a veggie I had more than plenty of options, which is always nice. Servers and bar staff were super nice too. We’ve ordered pizzas, ramen and Thai and everybody were dead happy with their choices. Everything arrived fairly fast and quality was just *chef’s kiss* Can’t wait to be back to try some other stuff.
