Unfortunately the service is very bad they gave a wrong diagnosis for a 10 month baby why ? because they don't care , they don't examinate as tey should do . Also I went for my elder son 10 years we went 2 times yesterday 17 April because was not treated correctly was sent back home saying is basically nothing Today I went again seeing my boy getting worse and afraid of a over reaction to the medication but the "nurce " was so arrogant that I felt regret to go as I need the attention we have to stay but I think they the NHS should be sure if the people they have really like their jobs and even if any personal problems , are committed with what health job really means. Because now a days with Covid and where the surgery always wash their hand and try to convice you, do not call them so the patient feel alone and guilty to use the service , very stressful just the fact to think to go .

I visited here a few weeks ago and when I arrived I was given an appointment to return in around 45 minutes time. On returning I was seen within minutes and sent for an X-ray, headed back to the waiting room and after around 20 minutes taken through again for the final treatment. Total time in there way probably around 50 minutes max. I have never visited an urgent care centre or A & E dept and received such excellent and speedy care before and it was such a refreshing change. The receptionist was very pleasant as was the doctor that I saw.

I've brought a relative here twice in the last fortnight for unrelated A&E issues and I thought they were really good both times. They lose a star for trying to get me to wear a face mask (which I obviously refused) but other than that I have nothing but praise for them. Of course we had to wait, nobody enjoys waiting, but today we were in and out inside 90 mins which I think is decent compared to other hospitals. The A&E entrance is very accessibly by car which is important if you're bringing an injured person. Most importantly on both visits we felt like the staff were caring, respectful and polite. Compared to the general attitude of most staff I've met at Blackburn's A&E - 10 miles down the road - is like night and day.

I'm currently here, and although it took over 2hrs for a triage nurse to see me, I was taken straight through due to my ill health as apposed to going back into the waiting room, since I've been here I've had my bloods and an X-ray and an ECG. Yes I've been here since 4.30pm and its now 9.30pm. But the staff cannot do enough for you and I found the lady on reception lovely. People need to remember the NHS is a free service, we all should feel thankful to them and remember that other countries charge you money for treatment. I've spent hours in this hospital and another over a few years. I've nothing but praise for the NHS Staff everywhere, Burnley staff have been so friendly and caring. They can only do so much and they are so under funded and often work past there contracted hours for us, priority is given and quite right to patients who present with a life threatening condition. I don't know what people expect. They are overun with people in urgent care, they are doing the best they can. I don't think staff deliberately keep anyone waiting. I remember during covid the hospitals were empty showing that a lot of people could just go to there GP and probably did. Just appreciate the service and that we should be lucky we have an NHS. The staff are doing there best under the pressure they are under. 5* from me for Burnley Hospital even if I end up being here for another 4hrs. Thank you for all you do Burnley Urgent care.

Absolutely horrendous. Waiting over 3 hours to be seen with my 10 month old having breathing difficulties. It'd be convenient for the NHS if we all just dropped dead!!!!!!

Spent 6 hours in burnley urgent care today. Some Reception staff are rude, was seen by the triage nurse who never looked at me once, no eye contact, asked me questions, never actually looked at my problem, there was a student nurse in situ, plus someone else, it was never explained who these ppl was! I am aware of this industry, I should of been told who was in the room at the time and am I comfortable, no one ever mentioned who they was, there names, after attending the urgent care practice for a major problem I’ve had for 3 week and was requested by my GP to attend this practice as a matter of urgency, After spending 2.5 hours there, I was told by the triage nurse after I had seen her to “ hand this to reception” paper letter stating I should been seen by a doctor and not important.. “green” marked ( green yellow and blue... i do know what these colours mean, even though there’s a history in my family of blood clots, i did.. was told to go back 3.5 hours later.. i don’t live in the area, I was dropped off, I spent the next 3,5 hours outside! When I gave my appointment card in at the correct time, I waited for my name to be called, I waited approximately 10mins, I was greeted with the most happiest, caring, nicest person I’d seen all day, Charlotte, what an absolute blessing she was! A breath of fresh air! I also mentioned to her that she was the first person I had seen that was caring and professional, From listening to reception speaking to the poorly people entering the urgent care, being rude, unprofessional, people who attend hospital are worried, nervous, scared, being kind doesn't cost you anything! I do know Charlottes last name, but due to GDPR.. I wish I could disclose as she was amazing with me, If you Charlotte ever get to know about this, you was residing in room 10 on 30/10/23.. I am forever grateful to you for being so kind, caring, thoughtful, honest and funny!! Your fantastic at your job! We need more people/ nurses like you! The 1 star is for the reception staff,… it’s 10 stars to the nurses and to Charlotte Thankyou!

Brilliant service from the minute I arrived. Great staff. Friendly and caring. Don’t know why the bad reviews are even here. Basically urgent care is for urgent cases and I can only imagine the less urgent ones aren’t happy they aren’t seen. I can honestly say the whole department were good and the nurses on the gyn and breast ward were fantastic. A testament to the profession, each and every one was so caring and responsive. I didn’t like being here but they made it a lot better for me. Thank you guys!

Disgusting assumptions by staff!! I took my partner to urgent care today with a broken ankle and the staff made me leave the room and took her into another room away from me for safeguarding!!!! Basicly saying I had caused the injury!!!! It’s safe to say they got a gob full off my partner!!! Just pure cheek

Thank you to all the staff who showed my mum such excellent care yesterday. She was treated with great care, respect and dignity from checking in at Reception, assessment and treatment, to getting in the ambulance to Blackburn. The Trust can be proud of all the staff who work here.

Attended with my husband who was having breathing problems, he was seen straight away, triaged, saw a doctor, had an x-ray, diagnosed and we were home just over an hour later. The staff were pleasant and very professional.

What a joke! After being sent to Burnley from Accrington Victoria with an appointment time to a receptionist with absolutely no idea how to use a computer, she said she'd booked me in, to be left waiting for nearly 2 hours! Come on bgh, teach your staff how to do their job properly, it's a disgrace, I wasn't the only one she did it to, there's no excuse, where's your 'patient care?' should be ashamed of yourself

Absolutely appalling service, i wouldn’t even give 1 star, took my 6 year old daughter in to the urgent care, she had a tooth abscess and face all swollen on one side. Waited 5 hours, requested a blood test for her, which the doctor refused and said he was due to finish his shift in 10mins and no other doctor does blood tests in that dept. What a flipping joke!! It’s only when I said if my daughter’s condition worsens and if she ends up with the infection spreading and going into her bloodstream then what!! The doctor then decided to do a blood test. The doctor arranged for us to be seen in Children’s Observation Assessment unit (maxillo facial dept) at Blackburn for 9:00am. Rang in the morning and surprise surprise they had no knowledge of it. Rang Burnley Urgent care and was told by a very rude receptionist, they can’t do anything about it as ‘their’ doctor had made them aware at Blackburn but it’s not their fault that information wasn’t passed on. Absolutely ridiculous and very shameful that it’s come to this! I have a very poorly girl and seems all they are bothered about is passing the buck 😡

Visited tonight (october 15th) Really nice unit. Clean and well looked after. Very friendly and attentive receptionists and saw a very reassuring who looked after me well. The only downside was the triage nurse was very cold, abrupt, and bordering on rude!

Absolutely amazing arrived at 7pm, told I would be seen at 7.30pm, doctor called me through at 7.20, injury diagnosed and dealt with instantly, left at 7.35. So quick and efficient and the staff were super friendly and helpful!

Total disregard for the patient! I greet with the middle finger the doctor who saw me today and didn't let me get to a word ... I had more knowledge in elementary school than you do now ... put painkillers up your ass🖕🏻

Was transferred and admitted to RBH ....care and service brilliant despite staff working under difficult conditions...each and everyone gave the most professional service even with a smile...don't know how they do it 👏👏👏👏

I waited for 6 hrs, it was really busy but the staff were patient, no nonsense and I saw such a high level of kindness and care. The tests that I had done took a while but I got the results there and then. Thank you

Uncaring, Unsympathetic rude Young receptionist with long brown hair. I arrived with heart attack and stroke symptom, was told to put symptoms in on screen first by the receptionist. After putting symptoms in on screen, the screen said my symptoms were An emergency and to Go to reception and say It's a emergency. So i Walked Over to the receptionist and said it's an emergency I have heart attack and stroke symptoms the screen said to notify you" (i was in pain and in tears when I was saying this) the receptionist replied rudely "...please stand behind the red line and wait till I call you to come forward. I was first in line, there was no que and I watched In tears and pain as this receptionist was busy Giggling and talking about a man with her older Collegue. After She had Finished her Topic and finished giggling she then called me forward and Checked me in and sent me to sit in waiting room. I'm lucky I didn't actually have a stroke or a heart attack. I had to go blackburn anyway because Burnley Can't do much of the tests and Blackburn can.
