Station refurbishment underway bringing Blackburn beyond the 21st Century with a bank of the very latest ticket machins positioned at the entrance to the station and automatic ticket barriers to and from the platforms. A bus ticket machine and time table is situated just outside the station entrance.

Monday 27th September 2021 5☆ service from staff .6 Ladies trying to get to York on the 11:03 from Blackpool.delayed due to Trees then train breakdown ..going by coach ..not going by coach.The staff couldnt have been kinder /keeping us up to date...apologising when not their fault.well done and ThankYou ..you were brill even waving us off when we eventually left at at 2:03.!!!

Blackburn station is a Great station, an easy place to find and disability acess in and out a quick hop from the station to shopping facilities and amenities

Pleasant staff, but next to no facilities. Says it all about the town as a whole.

Busy Station, run by Northern. Clean and busy. Trains to all destinations

Really needs some investment, trains are old/unclean and links to Manchester and other big cities aren’t very good. Actual station is very run down and seems to always have a leak. For the amount that rail tickets now cost, you’d expect a better experience.

Blackburn Is as good as any place n If ya get a nice sunny day ya'll see what I mean

A clean and tidy place to wait for trains or even to train spot s x plenty of places for everyone to travel too and great parking and food and beverage places, but tickets can be very expensive x

Upon arrival by taxi I made my way to the ticket office and was met by two very pleasant gentleman on the barrier they let me through to the ticket office, where the pleasant lady was most helpful, these staff are a credit to Northern rail on the whole a good experience

I just wanted to make a point of stating im giving 5 stars to the very helpful friendly lady that works in the ticket office. She always goes above and beyond and has also been noted by other people i have spoken to. An absolute credit to Blackburn staion. 😊

Good shopping options in the mall, yet the surrounding areas outside the mall are in need of development as it could be so much better. There isn't really a nightlife either as most of the central pubs and night clubs have gone. A few nigel restaurants like the fire pit and Turtle bay but more central pubs and restaurants needed as it is it's mainly fast food and takeaways.

Blackburn is a Friendly Town with Plenty of Different Cultural Backgrounds, Different Shops and Restaurants, Takeaway's. Pubs are Friendly Places to Visit, All in All a Nice Northern Town to Visit.

My recent encounter with what I would call a SUPER train line makes this one less enjoyable. Servace is bad. I was harassed about my shoes my some inadequately dressed teens. And to add there wasn't evan a place to fill my car with fuel. My disabled son found it hard to get around so we missed our train. Poor

Staff cant be bothered to unlock waiting room. Train delayed over 1 hour and cant sit down or get a coffee. Last time I buy a ticket.

I used this station and not many people are wearing their masks over their nose. Staff are not bothered either as they can see this happening on the platform and on the trains. No wonder Blackburn is a high risk area .

It's okay but everything closes in town by 6.30pm. Buses run hourly and everything you buy food wise has hot spices Most go around in muslims clothing, and anyone else looks out of place. The only place to get a bacon sandwich is Greg's, which stop serving at 11am. It's the pits and you're better off in prison, to be honest
