We dined for a special occasion and rarely have the opportunity to visit fine dining. We had a lovely meal with friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. Several expediter/bus people did a great job of keeping the dining room flowing and we were seated with our reservation immediately. Although we arrived mid dinner, folks without bookings only had a 30-45 min wait. Produce and veg were very fresh, and cooked nicely and not overdone. We had alligator and calamari which were quite good. We also had as mains a seafood sampler, Canada jumbo scallops, and mahi mahi. Scallops were very nicely pan fried. We got a lobster bisque we did not care for, but the clam chowder was lovely. It was nice to have a lengthier meal with a few plates and time to talk and share. My son did not like the dim lighting but I argued it was atmospheric. Did not disappoint. Many thanks to your kind staff.

Great place as always! Service was great and the food is always top notch! Oysters Rockefeller is amazing with the cheese topping and huge oysters! Shrimp seem fresh and the Surf and Turf dinner with a great filet and prawns were exceptional! Thank you as always!

Great food. Got the crab legs. They come pre split, so getting your meat out is simple. Girlfriend had chili Chilean sea bass. Comes with noodles similar to pad Thai noodles, really good. Also ate baked oysters, lobster bisque and crab turnovers. Because we are party animals we also had 4 martinis. Pomegranate, almond joy, Lemon drop and espresso, ive listed them from best to really good.

First time at the Fish House, had reservations but still had a bit of a wait. Food was good, clam chowder was a bit cool as was the au gratin potatoes and baked potato. The rolls were piping hot! Our waiter seemed to be having a not so good day but we were out with friends and made the most of our evening. Will try again another day.

It’s a great place to eat! Good food! They had many desserts! The crème brûlée was exquisite. You should definitely come here!

One of my favorite places to eat for special occasions, such as birthdays Mother’s Day date night, etc. One would suggest making reservations, but not always necessary. It is a longtime family owned business with delicious food. My favorite is always the filet duo. My family likes the Chilean Seabass and Tasmania salmon. Comes with a side and salad and warm rolls. Can’t beat it!

Jumbo king crab legs were only average size compared to other tables and very salty. The lobster tail was great. Asparagus was steamed completely plain so butter from the buns helped. The old fashioned drinks were great. Wasn't thrilled about the lobster bisque, it mainly was thick cream with very little lobster flavor, meat, or texture. The crab appetizer was good, like a deconstructed crab Rangoon. Only get it if you really like a lot of cream cheese.

Excellent experience! The best restaurant experience in the Peoria area I've had. Better or equally compared to Hells Kitchen in Las Vagas! Very delicious dishes all around. My entire party was more than happy. The entire staff was great and all of them were smiling and worked very well as a team. By far, the best in the area out of all the restaurants I've been to (and that's a lot). Thank you so much to all of the staff for an awesome evening and experience! My wife really enjoyed her anniversary dinner as well as I and the rest of our party. 🙂

For an entree, I had the Cajun prawns (pictured) with steamed broccoli and clam chowder soup. Prawns = good. Broccoli = great. Soup = middle of the road. My wife had the crab stuffed shrimp and liked it. Prices were average/fair. My barrel aged old fashion was very good but a bit on the small size for the large price. Our waiter new the menu very well and described the preparation of the dishes very well. I asked a lot of questions and gave him a run for his money. He has good personality. $120 pre tip for the two of us with two drinks each and the fried alligator (good) for an app ($ value - hence the 3 stars). We will give it one more try before adding it to our list of regular Peoria venues. We like the atmosphere. Don’t change that!

Katelyn was an amazing server. I let her know tonight was special because I was treating my mom. She was sweet, detail oriented and so attentive. The meal was delightful and we were blessed to have Katelyn as our server. We will definitely be back; probably sooner than later!

Very expensive for the food we received. Rolls and service where very good. I will say if you really like exotic imported fish. You should probably give them a try. But When you compare to major chain restaurants it's comparable for half the price. So if fancy fish aren't your thing the "land" fair isn't worth it.

Brought my boyfriend here to celebrate a promotion and we were very excited to give it a try as our first time there. We got fried alligator, the fried seafood platter, and Tuscan chicken. The alligator was mostly tiny pieces of breading but what bit of meat there was, was very rubbery. The crab cake was overcooked, the shrimp, tilapia, and scallops had zero flavor and were dripping wet as if they were still defrosting. The Tuscan sauce was very bland and the chicken breasts were small, barely warm and very dry with hardly any charbroiled flavor. For the price of everything, you’d think there would have been more flavor, larger portions and better quality. We could have gotten better quality seafood from Texas road house, and for less money. The waitress was nice and tried to be accommodating by offering a free dessert, but we were so upset and that didn’t seem sufficient. They comped the $10 gator and $7 worth of drinks. We barely ate our food and STILL paid $70. We’re not really ones to complain much when out to eat but wow this was just… bad. Never coming here again. Such a let down.

This is a place that has stood the test of time. I wish I had taken pictures of my food because the presentation was well made. The taste of the food was excellent and our host was superb. Very nice. Thank you Fish House for such a good experience.

Wow, amazing food. Just had the best evening. Called on our way there to get placed in line. We were seated just minutes after arriving. Order oysters Rockefeller - delicious, grilled infused oysters - tell me how these tasted like the most delicious steak I've ever eaten, stuffed mushrooms and shrimp. With drinks, meal and tip we only spent $100!!! First time we've been here and definitely will be back. Again, wow!!! Everything was amazing

My Wife and I split Oysters Rockefeller, Grilled Oysters, Stuffed Mushrooms, and the Shrimp platter. All of our selections were excellent. Oysters Rockefeller were huge and stuffed with toppings, not to mention delicious. The grilled oysters had an excellent smokey charred flavor to them. The mushrooms were good quality buried in cheese. Each of the different shrimp on the platter were meaty and cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all. Will definitely be back for the oysters. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

This place is a real gem. The couple times we have been there the food and drinks have been excellent and the service spot on. We had a loud table next to us that had no problem using vulgar language and made some folks uncomfortable but that is not an indication of the norm there. We ordered salmon, filet mignon and scallops and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Service was good. Place was clean. Portions very small and expensive. There was zero flavor in the potato au gratin side dish except for sugar??? Why would it be sweet? I'm very sure the Florida grouper I had was not grouper at all but just some generic whitefish. It was our first time here and I don't think we will be back.

Astonishingly good seafood for a place hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean. Great old-school vibe. Attention to detail: the host found a minor blemish on the table when seating us and quickly returned with a moist towelette to clean it. Server was terrific and made a great recommendation for the swordfish with corn salsa and Jamaican jerk seasoning. It was, in a word, incredible. Reasonably priced wine with an expansive list if you want to get crazy.

Love this place! Best seafood in Peoria. We enjoyed the halibut and Ahi tuna. Both were excellent! Service was outstanding. Will be back!

The atmosphere is great, but the food is very disappointing. The scallops were the smallest I have ever seen. The fish was wet. The shrimp had the vein in. Everything was very bland. The salad and rolls were the only good part of the meal. Very overpriced for the quality!

The Fish House definitely is a family favorite. Fresh and beautifully prepared fish and seafood and always a fun Special Catch. Our daughter's favorite is the grilled Salmon. Appetizer favorites are the smoked Oysters for sure. We do order the Pistachio encrusted Seabass a lot as well as the Neptune Platter which is our son's favorite and offers a great selection of fish, lobster and seafood. Service has been outstanding every time we go! Interior design could use a bit of modernization.

First time guest experience was an unsatisfiable expensive experience to say the least. Very small portions that barely covers the plate! We've lived in Peoria our entire lives and finally decided to try The Fish House. Should have went to Jonah's instead. I'd be willing to give it another shot if given the possibility of being convinced to come back for round two.

The service has also been friendly whenever we have gone in. The drinks are quite good too (recommend Old Fashioned). They have off menu vegetarian options. I do enjoy the friend onion rings and the Thai noodle pasta (sans fish). The Key Lime Pie is one of the best in town. Only thing that won't be to everyone's taste is the decor. It is very dark and feels it has never been updated since they opened. But otherwise would highly recommend this local gem.

Such a bummer. We used to come here all the time but it's been about a year because we went vegan for a minute but we had such high expectations, of course. Our service and the food has always been top notch. Maybe it's the post covid, lack of good people, I don't know. First, and most importantly...my husband ordered the Neptunes Platter and everything, other than the shrimp, was undercooked. The shrimp was overcooked. Not to mention, there was less of everything. The calamari we had as an appetizer was not great. The batter fell right off of it. Our service was super slow. We were there for 1.5hrs and I got 1 drink. Even after ordering a second. I may have been happier with this visit if I had had more wine, but I got 1/3 glass and then had to drink my room temp water. If the servers can only manage to bring 1 glass...make it at least half filled! Anyway, for a meal that costs over $100, it was pretty unsatisfying.
