I was excited to visit this place ever since I saw the pictures, however, the real-life experience wasn't as exciting as I hoped. They tell you it's the entire village, but when you arrive you notice only a handful of houses are painted, the rest looks absolutely normal. The ones that are worth visiting aren't documented in any way (no road signs, no mention on Google maps, etc) so you may as well end up visiting just the 2 main places. A 2-3hr drive from Krakow isn't worth it.

Very beautiful colourful village and houses! Just don't expect that the whole village like this, it's only few houses.

The lady who greeted and guided us was really friendly and spoke English. The place itself is worth visiting absolutely. Unique town with beautiful paintings.

Charming place. Just it's not one place so you have to walk around village, many houses and some of them private. It's nice what they have done ans definitely theses ladies have big talent but I was thinking that is much bigger. Maybe one day 😉

It is a nice place, but I have expected it to be a bit different. First of all as we learned at the place, all the buildings and the full experience is available only during the weekend ( we came on Friday). The buildings are not very close to each other, so it is best to drive between them, which means you can miss some on the way. Overall it is nice and definitely worth visiting.

Overall, I found the experience in Zalipie quite underwhelming - I don't think it is worth the trip from Krakow. I expected a colorful village, but you have to search for the houses or objects in the garden to actually find something. I have seen Slovácko and other places full of folklor and this simply wasn't that interesting, nor aesthetically pleasing.

Very nice place, detailing the tradition of the flower paintings in the village. On the grounds of the "Dom Malarek" (the house of painters) there are some interesting examples of a painted well and a painted house/shed as well as a beautifully painted solar clock. The people there were nice and helpful, although they didn't speak more then a few words English.

A small village Zalipie with beautifully painted Hauses. It is quite hard to get to the village without a car, especially on weekends. There is not so much information for foreign tourists. If you are around Krakow or Tarnow visit Zalipie.

Ladies from the House of Malarek were so kind and friendly . They were working hard on their beautiful art and found time to answer our questions and show us around . Szczęść Boże i Bóg Zapłać.

Very beautiful village with inhabitants, who are very proud of their houses. We we're also invited to take a closer look at one of the Houses and got tips, where also to go
