Went to the Jack for a quick beverage on a blustery evening after a stressful day of work. Proceeded to watch the owner’s daughter, while intoxicated, verbally berate one of her employees and proceed to question why I was a patron and accused me of being there to “sleep” with her employee. I felt horrible for the employee and waited outside to see if she was okay, and proceeded to have the owner’s granddaughter, also intoxicated, come out screaming profanities at me and proceeded to kick my tire. In my entire life , I’ve never experienced anything quite like this. As a patron, I felt completely degraded. Beyond ridiculous experience. Fortunately the owner apologized. With that being said, I would error on the side of caution when attending this establishment. This is not an experience anyone should wish for when going to an eating/drinking establishment.

the staff is not very approachable. Prices don’t coordinate with the quality of food. Too pricey. Aesthetic of the place is kinda cool but for being in the middle of nowhere I’m not sure how this place is still open

Love this place. Did I say we love this place. We rented a cabin so we could not worry about driving home. One of the best stays of our 6 week road travels.

The huckleberry mule is a must. We visited here from Wisconsin and thought the cheese curds were great. Awesome place to go! Between the building itself, the surrounding views, food, staff and other customers it was a great time!

Really enjoyed stopping in here. It's off the highway in a rustic setting which adds to the experience. Food and beer was great, staff were friendly. Highly recommend.

We made the half hour drive from home really looking forward to taking our son and his friend who were in town for a visit. Sat down at a table for a good 20 minutes, nobody came over. We thought well maybe we just don’t understand the process so my husband went up to the bar to say, do you need us to come up here to order? Very unfriendly staff says no, We’ll come out there. So we sit. No offer to order a drink, no offer to order food for 45 minutes.we understand staff can get busy but not even a hey we’ll be over when we get a moment. We came prepared to love the place and treat our son for a meal. Nope. Awful. Wish I could comment on food or drink but we didn’t get the chance.

There is nothing I could possibly say bad about this place, great food, drinks, and people in an incredible log lodge, I live hours away and still make it over there regularly.

This has meaning to us, family helped build it, my dad was always up there helping at events, now us kids, grandkids go there for memories...... I can't rate rooms since I have not stayed in a cabin forever, but when I did they were great little cabins!!

The service was not great but this place rocked. They were busy as can be. We came off the trails on UTV’s and we were ready for a break so the slow service let us relax enjoy or friends with drinks. Loved the atmosphere and the BBQ smell. I don’t expect in your face service. Being from Atlanta the slower pace is nice to see and just slow down. Don’t change a thing in this off the highway Cabin Bar

If you find yourself longing for a version of “Cheers” in Montana look no further then The Jack. Yes, they claim to be the best bar in America and honest I don’t think I can argue that point. The Jack sits at the end of a nondescript gravel road and as you trundle down the road you’ll feel all the stress of your everyday world leave you as you get close. The Jack is a true gem! It’s cozy yet big, check out the patio where live music and karaoke is held. Take a peek at the cabins for rent and then there’s the campground that offers a rustic way to sleep off a good time. The service, and I’ll admit that’s why I go out cuz I can just about anything myself, is friendly and welcoming and I love great service! The food is superb pub grub. Outstanding snacks, you MUST try the pickle fries🤤I had the western burger and it’s was sublime. If The Jack can’t solve your problems, then you’ve got PROBLEMS! Come to The Jack, it’s…perfect!

It was AWESOME....food, drinks and service were perfect. Po' boy sandwich is great and the waitress suggested the "alpine" drink which was great since we drove there on our 4x4s.

This is the most fabulous fun place. Real people. They have cabins to rent for events or if you have just had a little too much to drive back to town.

We had to take a road trip and found ourselves coming back on highway 12. I wish I would’ve got more photos. By far the coolest bar I’ve ever been to. Very friendly staff. Awesome food. We had western burger and chickens strips. By wife enjoyed a Moscow Mules. My daughter enjoyed some Attention. Lol

We didn't actually go inside because they were not open yet but we enjoyed the drive up Lolo canyon and Graves creek. The building has massive logs. The logs are so big it only took 3 or 4 logs to create a wall. Worth a drive up to see and hopefully you'll get a chance to go inside.

Really cool place! Good food, lots of nostalgia and history, and the staff was awesome, even though they were super busy! Will definitely be making more trips out there!

Up in the mountains of Montana, this old bar is infamous to the area & is always a treat when I go visit!! This time it was busy & I was surprised that it wasn't loud & we could hear each other talk with regular voices!! The food is always great, to perfection!!😋

Neat place to grab a drink. We had heard good things about the food, but the $16 burger wasn’t as impressive as I had hoped for. Huckleberry mule was delicious and the patio was a beautiful place to chill out.
