Simply stunning Byron Bay beach! Honestly just felt like one of the most instagram-able places on the planet! Perfect spot to stop for the day and just have a fabulous swim, relax and recovery session. There is a couple of BBQ facilities and cafes near by, as well as a public toilet. Strong recommend from me!!!

THE PLACE TO BEACH. This a grreat beach for families and budding surfers. The cool crowd is welcome too! It’s only small so when the tides in, expect to lie on the grass if you arrive late. Public toilets, BBQ,s and rubbish bins are all here. 4 Hour Parking limit at $4.00 per hour. If you forgot to bring food, Rae’s has a Combi van parked out front that serves coffee, Turkish bread Toasties, fruit slushies and a variety of healthy and not so healthy snacks. All organic of course :)

This is a beautiful white sandy beach - we spent most days here while at Byron Bay. Being your surf board, whether you’re an expert or keen to learn, there’s a very forgiving wave in fairly safe conditions (obviously be sensible) although parking is a bit shy. You’re also close to the lighthouse for a walk.

Wategos is actually a North facing beach, so often protected from southerly, and South Easterly winds. It is home to some of the most expensive real estate in Australia. Being so popular parking can be a real problem and may take you 30 or 40 minutes to find a spot. There are a couple of beachside barbecues to enjoy your picnic at, along with a couple of picnic tables. It is between The Pass and the lighthouse, therefore if doing the coast run/walk you will pass through Wategos. If heading up the steps to the lighthouse you will come across a new scrub turkey mound, so watch out for turkeys throwing leaves on you during nesting season!

Beautiful calm beach, great place to watch the sunset ❤️ more protected from the wind and waves than other Byron beaches. Can get crowded in summer and parking is metered until a short walk away

Wategos Beach, Byron Bay Between Clarkes Beach and Cape Byron Lighthouse is Wategos Beach. Nice and small with lovely accommodation in the surrounding area. For fine-dining or just something in the terrace you have Raes on Wategos (they are a luxe hotel, very European). They even have a food van at the front if you prefer to eat on the beach. #WategosBeach #RaesOnWategos #ByronBay

On a non windy day, very relaxing. leave the car in town and walk here, beautiful coastal walk with stunning ocean and bay views right back to the byron hinterland and beyond to Mt Warning.

It is a stunning beach. The sunsets are so memorable. There have been a few bin chickens around which have been a menace…so make sure your picnics are locked up if you want to swim. Apart from that, it’s the best.

Such a beautiful beach. Loved to watch the surfers catching waves. Not a lot of parking.

Beautiful beach, 180 degrees panorama view, torques blue water, nice for family and kids to play, shades throughout the beach area for family to rest other than who are playing in water, barbecue and toilet area, overall go to beach 🏝 in Byron Bay

Gorgeous beach. Hard to park during the day, but lots of parking in the late afternoon. Was very windy when we visited, so no one was swimming.

One of the best swimming beaches in the area, a lovely quieter spot with some metered parking available. Postcard material landscape, with aqua blue water and golden sand. No cafes or bars on the beachfront keep it quiet, with a bit of a windy road coming in. Conditions were perfect when we visited in April 2023.
