This is a gorgeous place, with wonderful people, amazing food and everything else. If you are looking for some peace or a place where you can find yourself again....just go there....I highly recommend it,especially to people who live in big cities. The owner has an amazing story! It is an advantage if you speak Spanish but not really necessary.

We rented La Casita in el Acebuchal one of a number of holiday lets in this charming restored village about 8km from Frigiliana. You need to be prepared to look after yourselves as it is self catering though the delightful bar/restaurant , Virtudes opens daily between 10am and 5pm for a fine selection of food and drink. The facilities provided in the houses is of a good standard, all have access to both the indoor and outdoor pools and all have heating including wood burners for cooler times. The overall location of the village is perfect for hikers, walkers ad bikers with many top quality routes accessible from here.

Food good!! Food is exceptional. Too good please keep it quiet. Only tell your closest friends. Real rustic Spanish cooking, delightful. Views are superb as well. Lovely village.

Howe Lovely. Live walk and eat like a hobbit from Greenhill county. The dusty road to and from the village's nothing for the fainthearted driver rider or pilgrim. .. take care. Take enough time, a good map at Nerja 's bookstore, a hiking stick and a bottle for your drinks.

Beautiful food and very friendly staff. The drive here was fabulous with amazing views, but take it steady. The home made bread and cakes are superb, as are the salads and main dishes.

Difficult to get here, a small gravel road. The food is good and genuine. Friendly staff and it's very impressive the way that they have built up restaurant/village.

Such a beautiful little gem, hidden in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. Not a journey for those scared of heights but well worth the trip. An absolute must for anyone anywhere near the area.
