I
was
planning
to
have
lunch
in
L'usine.
But
when
I
was
walking
on
Dong
Khoi
st,
this
place
suddenly
popped
up
on
my
mind,
so
I
decided
to
explore
new
thing
instead.
I'm
glad
I
did.
Located
in
the
heart
of
Saigon,
in
building
opposite
to
Hotel
Majestic
and
Maxim's.
Cafe
Co
Ba
has
2
levels,
first
floor
and
fifth
floor
(2nd
and
6th
if
you're
American
),
the
building
has
lift,
so
you
don't
have
to
walk
upstairs.
I
picked
the
one
on
rooftop.
The
Co
Ba
rooftop
cafe
has
vintage,
nostalgic
decoration
of
Saigon
in
golden
era
before
1975.
The
rooftop
cafe
has
2
floors/sections.
So
you
can
pick
spot
that
you
feel
best
for
you.
The
music
definitely
not
suitable
for
a
place
like
this.
Terrible
music
playlist.
Although
indoor
has
cool
decoration
but
for
safety
during
covid
time
and
bad
music,
I
went
outdoor
with
riverside
view.
The
view
outdoor
very
nice,
on
the
lower
floor
has
terrace
space
with
some
green
and
good
view,
on
the
upper
floor,
outdoor
seat
is
just
narrow
aisle
with
plank
wood
and
stool.
But
it
has
great
view
of
the
Saigon
River,
very
chill
and
breezy,
so
I'm
not
complain
much.
---
You
have
to
order
and
pay
at
the
counter
first,
then
waiter
will
bring
food
and
drink
to
you.
My
order
for
drinks
took
ok
time
10
mins,
but
the
the
fried
chicken
it
took
25
mins
to
serve
to
me.
The
waiter
has
apologised.
Then
later,
they
completely
forgot
my
tiramisu.
Has
to
come
down
and
talked
with
the
cashier.
At
least
she
admitted
they
forgot
and
apologise.
Thing
I
dislike
is
I
had
to
went
downstairs
to
the
counter
to
order
more.
-
The
female
cashier
very
kind
and
friendly
to
me.
When
I
am
about
to
leave,
she
worries
for
me
to
leave
in
this
thunderstorms
with
strong
winds,
said
it
better
for
me
to
stay
till
the
rain
stopped.
(The
cafe
very
crowded
and
lack
of
seats,
so
I
thought
I
better
leave
after
2
hours
for
other
customers
to
sit).
Asked
me
if
there's
something
wrong
with
the
drinks
and
food.
I
like
that
she's
smiling
all
the
time
when
talking
with
me
and
making
convos
with
customers.
-
I'm
not
impressed
with
the
menu
esp
the
drink
menu.
The
drinks
price
is
cheaper
than
Starbucks
or
L'usine,
similar
price
point
to
those
cafe
places
with
good
decors
in
downtown
D1,
D3.
I
ordered
lemongrass
peach
tea
and
later
I
got
Longan
chia
tea,
65,000
dong.
The
teas
was
not
tastes
as
good
as
I
expected
them
to
be.
Quite
bland
and
artificial
tastes
for
longan
tea
(5/10)
and
not
the
great
peach
tea
in
town
either,
only
tiny
slide
of
canned
peach
(6/10).
Food
menu
is
a
bit
pricey
for
some
Vietnamese,
cheap
for
Westerner
or
Asian
tourists.
I
got
myself
crispy
chicken
with
fried
rice
for
79,000
dong.
The
dish
was
tasty
and
chicken
wasn't
dry,
well
seasoning.
7/10
because
small
portion.
I
also
got
tiramisu
for
45,000,
but
kind
of
disappointed
with
it.
I
think
it's
acceptable
price
especially
for
location
on
fancy
schmancy
Dong
Khoi
st.
-
I
will
come
back
again
to
the
rooftop
at
night
and
will
check
the
cafe
co
ba
on
1st
floor.
